Day 3 Citywalk: Discovering “Momentum” at Raffles Place – Art Meets Skyline
#springitinerary
After enjoying a hearty meal at Lau Pa Sat, I continued my Day 3 Citywalk through Raffles Place and stumbled upon the striking Momentum sculpture at the Finlayson Green crossroads. Set against Singapore’s impressive skyline, this towering public artwork by Israeli artist David Gerstein instantly caught my eye.
The dynamic, colorful design represents the constant energy, movement, and upward drive of city life—perfectly reflecting the spirit of Singapore’s financial district. Its layered, swirling form feels alive, even when still. Positioned at the heart of the city, Momentum is not just a visual landmark, but a symbolic tribute to progress and ambition. A must-see for art and culture lovers exploring Singapore’s urban pulse.

The Singapore momentum sculpture is located in the raffles Quay area. The close to twenty metres tall sculpture symbolises growth upwards. Surrounding the momentum sculpture are many financial buildings . The beautiful art piece is definitely one that you would not want to miss out on . Our dream destination is to visit Haikou in the future. We would like to visit the qilou old street to try out their food street there and shop around there for plant seeds too as friends recommended us there.
