When in Rome 🏛 : Gustav Klimt Exhibition
Palazzo Braschi is the Museo di Roma site that beside the permanent collection is hosting a Gustav Klimt exhibition with some masterpieces such as Judith I, The Bride and one of my favorite: Portrait of a Lady. This is actually a double portrait, in fact a study revealed an underpainting, another beautiful portrait of a woman wearing black with a hat; scanning a QR code and pointing your mobile camera at the painting, you’ll see the original canvas. One more curiosity: this piece was stolen in 1997 and fortunately recovered in 2019!
📍Museo di Roma - Piazza San Pantaleo 10 - Palazzo Braschi
⏰From 27 October 2021 to 27 March 2022

SOUTH ROME
When you think about Rome, chances are you only know about the main city center area. There's actually so much more to the Eternal City, and we spent a good chunk of our time in Rome this trip exploring the South side of the city! Starting at the city center and heading south, you'll run right into the bustling Testatccio neighborhood. The site of one of ancient Rome's original walls- this place is full of culture and history. You can find an amazingly preserved ancient pyramid (that's right- a pyramid in Rome!) and one of Rome's most vibrant food scenes in places like Mercado Testaccio, arguably the hottest spot in the city for street food. (Need I say more?)
Head south from Testaccio to the next stop on our South Rome guide, Ostiense. The Ostiense neighborhood is an incredible area of Rome currently in the midst of a total transformation, and is quickly becoming one of the hottest young neighborhoods in the city. We spent our first few years of marriage living in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, well known as one of the most "hipster" neighborhoods in the world. Williamsburg is full of culture, art, cool bars, restaurants and cafes. We've found that most major cities in the world have similar neighborhoods, and we always search for them because it's generally our favorite spot- Ostiense was just that! From Museums, cafes and art installations by day to a thriving nightlife scene by night, It's a must-visit area of Rome in our opinion. If you're looking for a rad part of the city without all the selfie-stick-swinging tourists but still close to city center and full of life, definitely plan some time in Ostiense.
Beyond Ostiense, and a little further south you'll find one of the most intriguing areas of the city- the EUR area (EUR standing for Esposizione Universale Roma). This lesser-known neighborhood is an area of the city built under the rule of Mussolini in the early 1900s to commemorate 20 years of Fascism in Italy. Italy was chosen to host the 1941 world's fair, a

Rome, Italy
For decades it has been one of the favourite European cities for travellers from all over the world. "Roma Caput Mundi" "Rome is the capital of the world". This is true in many ways. The Romans shaped the borders of Europe and enriched it culturally like no other civilization.
The province of Rome is a matching frame for the many treasures of the capital, and the surrounding area has, more or less directly, experienced the influence of the history of the Eternal City.
Rome is even more than Paris or Athens an open-air museum. The Italian capital is an ideal destination for a family trip to discover the Colosseum or make a romantic getaway to declare your love on the Spanish steps. Thousands of experiences await you in Rome.

The Coloseum-Rome
The most famous and largest structure still standing from the Roman Empire, the Colosseum is also the biggest attraction of modern-day Rome. It's been a bucket-list destination of travelers for generations. And it does not disappoint.
Set in the heart of the city, the Colosseum is an easy place to visit. Direct flights from around the world land in Rome daily, making it a destination you can visit in a weekend if you choose. Wander through Rome's ancient streets, tour the colosseum, and if time allows, plan a trip to other areas of Italy.

Collosium
It is a tourist spot in Italy that is very well known throughout the world. It feels incomplete if you vacation in Italy without visiting this phenomenal building. Yes, it is the Colosseum. Located in Rome, the capital of Italy. The Colosseum is a historic building with a quite unique architecture. It was built around 72 to 80 AD by Emperor Vespasian, the founder of the Flavian dynasty. The Colosseum stands firmly like a football stadium, it is said that the Colosseum can accommodate up to 55,000 spectators with 80 entrances. This elliptical building has a height of 48 meters with a size of 188 meters x 156 meters. This building is also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre.
As a tourist attraction, the Colosseum is always crowded with tourists, both local and international. The number of visitors even increases in the summer. For those of you who intend to visit this place, it's a good idea to come in the morning to avoid jostling with other visitors. For information, the Colosseum's opening time is at 08.30 local time, while its closing time is about an hour before sunset.
