I was being greedy and had "Mememon" for dessert! Created by clearing the mountain by Manabe Akikatsu, the lord of the Sabae domain, and his associates, it is a vast garden with nearby iris gardens and wisteria trellises. It has also been selected as one of Japan's 100 Historic Gardens. This garden, located in Kyoyokei, is particularly beautiful and well-maintained, even though it is small. There is a rest house where you can sit and relax, enjoying the garden, and the large carp swimming in the pond make for a truly elegant experience. The scenery and its appearance change dramatically with the seasons, so it would be worth revisiting at different times.
