Unlimited Mentaiko and Side Dishes.
Grill Yamaya
Yamaya is launching a new sister brand that many are already familiar with. This new concept restaurant continues to serve unlimited mentaiko and takana just like before.
Grill Yamaya specializes in grilled dishes, carefully selecting premium ingredients to deliver an authentic Japanese taste. The result is a superb grilled menu that retains the signature Yamaya vibe but with a fresh focus on grilled items. The menu features Gin Zake (silver salmon), Saikyo miso grilled pork, Norwegian mackerel, and chicken, along with various other appetizers.
It also features the signature concept: unlimited refills of Yamaya's special recipe mentaiko and side dishes (imported Japanese Takana pickles / Japanese rice cooked in a kama pot / miso soup / dashi soup, and barley tea).

Nature Bliss Found🌞
The beauty of Finnish fall is literally next-level! 🍂🌞 Strolling through Seinäjoki—especially along the peaceful riverside near the city center (tip: start from Aalto Center, address: Kirkkokatu 18, 60100 Seinäjoki)—is pure zen vibes. Even when the temp barely hits 10°C, the sunny days here just *slap* so good. The air? Absolutely crisp and easy to breathe 😮💨.
TBH, the whole golden forest scene looks straight outta a dreamy painting. The tall, straight trees, those chill autumn colors, and sunlight streaming through—it’s total serenity.
Kinda obsessed imagining how everything will be transformed once the snow drops later in the season. Next up: hunting for a cute local café (try Cafe Oma, address: Valtionkatu 1, 60100 Seinäjoki; open every day till 7pm!) to grab some coffee and coziness ☕️.
Seinäjoki in autumn = ultimate #seinajokivibes. Who else needs this peaceful nature fix?

Here’s how to spend an easy, inspiring day exploring Seinäjoki, perfect if you love architecture and crisp autumn vibes 🍂✨
Must-See Spot: Lakeuden Risti Church
Kick off your stroll at Seinäjoki’s most iconic landmark: Lakeuden Risti Church (Koulukatu 24, 60100 Seinäjoki). Designed by the legendary Alvar Aalto, this church is a modernist dream. Make sure to pop in during opening hours—Monday to Saturday, 15:00–17:00, or Sunday 10:00–11:30 & 15:00–17:00. The clean white tower is visible from all over town, and if you’re there as the sunlight pours through the tall windows, you’re in for a treat!
Practical Tip: Go for a walk! Seinäjoki’s city center is ultra walkable, especially in autumn when golden leaves blanket the boulevards and everything feels extra photogenic. Take your time, snap photos, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
Food Tip: Warm up after your walk with coffee and korvapuusti (Finnish cinnamon roll) at a local café—Cafe Soolo is right near the church and has super cozy vibes.
Getting Around: Seinäjoki is compact; you won’t need a taxi or public transit if you’re based downtown. Everything is a (beautiful!) short walk away.
Bonus Tip: Bring a light jacket even if the day looks sunny—Finnish autumn weather changes fast. And yes, you can refill your water bottle at public fountains!

Spending Sunday in a Christian church in a small city in Finland🥰🥰🥰
I spent my first Sunday in the Central Christian Church in Seinajoki, Finland.
It was really grand and I especially enjoyed staying in the church and listening to the choir and the singing group singing praises to God with their beautiful voices.
At the end of the ceremony, I knelt at the foot of the cross and drank the consecrated wine given to me by the priest. I felt a spiritual upliftment like never before.
The pastor also left me a blessing. I really like the atmosphere here and will come to worship when I have time in the future. 🥰🥰🥰
