Sling & Swim at Raffles Hotel Singapore
I’ve been always amazed with iconic & historical landmark in Singapore, Raffles Hotel.
It’s always been my favourite, the place and the vibes is just speaks luxury, classy and elegance!
I had a change to experience Sling and Swim @raffleshotelsingapore 🤍
Experience lounge poolside with Raffles Hotel's iconic Singapore Sling in hand and my satay fried rice lunch..
I love the feel of doing nothing at the pool side and enjoy the swimming in this iconic hotel. And not forgetting their impeccable services from all their servers.
During my sling & swim experience, it was raining and the servers were so nice helping me with the umbrella to the covered area and re-arrange my set up after the rain has stopped.
Talking about Singapore Sling.. If you don’t know the iconic drink, The Singapore Sling, widely regarded as the national drink, was first created in 1915 by Raffles bartender Ngiam Tong Boon.

Bachelorette party
My friends and I booked a room here at Ritz Carlton Hotel to host a bachelorette party for one of my friends and the room was amazingly huge! It also had a nice view of the Kallang area from above and an ultra-luxurious clean bathroom. Staff were also very helpful, allowing us to come in and set up the decorations. A good experience as a whole!

Gardens of Capella
Equally mesmerising are the gardens of Capella, complete with winding paths and enchanted colonial architecture to admire. All guests have access to these gardens throughout the resort, even the little vegetable garden. We spotted a few interesting, colourful birds while taking a calming walk through these spaces. Definitely a must-do if you’re staying here!

Most wonderful time of the year
It was a joy to see the Christmas decorations all up in Fairmont as it really contributed to the festive mood. A clean and comfortable hotel, Fairmont has modern rooms and even smart amenities like an in-room motion sensor so that it switches off the lights when no one is inside. Staff are also helpful and approachable.

Colonial pool backdrop
We were blown away by the two humongous swimming pools at this hotel. On either side, there are deck chairs and lounge sofas to get a nice sun tan at. No need to reserve time slots to use the pool, can do so anytime. Highly recommend trying it out as it usually isn’t very crowded.

The Clan Hotel facilities
The facilities at this hotel is pretty amazing. The gym is state-of-the-art where there are a wide variety of equipment, including a trampoline and a martial arts figure. You can also follow a video and do a Zumba session if you want. The pool is a bit small but the sunset view from here is beautiful.

Rum hotel bar
Bob’s Bar is Capella hotel’s in-house bar known for their rum, with both indoor and outdoor seating. There are more seats available outdoors and I’d personally recommend the ones facing the pool as you can get a glimpse of the sunset from there. Very nice ambience!

Casual hotel restaurant
The rooms here at M Social can be a little on the smaller side so we were very motivated to head out someplace else to chill. The hotel-operated restaurant downstairs was a really nice place as it had both indoor and alfresco outdoor seating. I especially liked dining at the area near the entrance where you can people-watch while enjoying your meal.

Free drinks with our stay
My husband and I had a staycation at Fairmont hotel and thanks to our loyalty programme status, our stay came with free drink coupons that could be redeemed at any of their bar outlets. We were assigned a comfortable room with a clean bathroom so it was all good. It was very nicely furnished as well.

Staycation in Chinatown
You can easily access this hotel by taking the MRT train and alighting at Telok Ayer station. It exits right at the entrance of the hotel. I like that it was in the vicinity of many food places so we never needed to worry about what to eat. Our stay came with breakfast, which turned out to be quite average though.

Goodwood afternoon tea
Goodwood Park hotel has a restaurant that serves really good afternoon tea. The spread here is pretty impressive, with hot food like laksa, mac and cheese, fried chicken wings, as well as the sweet desserts like mini cakes, macarons and puddings. Given the price we paid, it is really quite value for money, highly recommend this buffet!

Newly refurbished hotel
The spanking new flagship Hilton hotel on Orchard road has taken over the previous Mandarin Orchard hotel with a much more modern look. Our room was fitted with contemporary fittings and furniture, and I especially enjoyed using the settee by the window to relax in. The bathroom also comes with a tub.

Funky rooftop bar
Right on the topmost floor of Courtyard Marriott hotel is Las Palmas rooftop bar! The moment you step out of the lift, you can see the colourful entrance. What I love most about it is the full-length windows that allow so much natural light in and offer amazing views of the surrounding greenery. Best part is it is located next to the pool for those much needed thirst-quenching after a swim.

Eat your fill at Ritz
This hotel is quite accessible via the underground trains as it is just a brief walk. It is also connected to a number of malls, like the Marina Square shopping mall or Millenia Walk. However, it is unlikely that you will need to head out of the hotel for food as not only does the lounge provide multiple meals a day, there are also 3 other restaurants on level 1 to choose from, including a bakery for any breakfast items or sweet treats.

High-tech staycay
Swissotel The Stamford had a round of refurbishment for its rooms not too long ago and have transformed them into pretty high-tech ones. With flushed panels for their switches and controls, you can do things like close the curtains while lying in bed. Also, I thought it was quite cool that the motion sensors turn on the night lights so that if you need to go to the toilet at night, you can see the floor lights illuminating your way. Very comfortable stay too!

Sweet afternoon treats
Marmalade Pantry is a well-loved restaurant brand that can be found at the two hotels, Oasia Novena and Oasia Downtown. This one is from the Novena branch and they were having a promotion on afternoon tea! I liked that their servings and portions were quite big compared to other hotels but unfortunate thing was that it wasn’t refillable. We got to choose our preferred cupcake flavours though.

We were very generously upgraded to a beautiful suite here at The Ritz-Carlton hotel and it was incredible! With a separate bedroom and living room, the space was immense. Also, the view from the room and the bathroom was gorgeous. We spent a lot of time just relaxing on the huge sofa and watching tv, one of the best staycations we’ve been on hands down.

Guests staying at Capella Singapore can access the in-house spa located within the resort itself, which makes it convenient to just wear a bath robe down for treatment. After your spa, you can use the wet spa facilities such as the warm jacuzzi jet pool, the steam room, sauna and so on. It is possible to spend half a day just relaxing here!

If you are staying at the InterContinental Singapore, I highly recommend checking the hotel’s new Italian restaurant, LUCE. After some minor refurbishment, it looks a little more refreshed and contemporary with an inviting warm ambience. The food is delicious and flavourful too but it does take quite a while to be served so be prepared to wait.

Hotel bath bomb workshop
As part of their service offerings at Capella Hotel, the team of staff run certain workshops that are mostly complimentary for all in-house guests to participate in. One of them we went for was this bath bomb workshop, where we learnt how to create our own bath bombs for use in our bath tub later! We could choose our preferred essential oil scents and colours to use, very interactive and super fun. Great for kids too.

One of the best things about getting a room with club lounge access here at this hotel is the amazing view of Marina Bay Sands! At above 30 floors, it is a great vantage point to admire the scenery while sipping on all-day champagne and other alcoholic drinks. They also serve meals throughout the day so you won’t need to worry about food.

Bubble tea fans unite
We got to attend a bubble tea creation session held at the venue of Capella Hotel and it was pretty interesting. The staff walked us through every ingredient that went into making the drink, then we got to try making one for ourselves. At the end of it, we could drink our own creation, very interactive experience!

Four seasons hotel singapore
Absolutely loved how we found the fssingapore airy boulevard room bathed in natural light when we opened the door.. my eyes lit up. No joke!
Some rare hotels make you feel comfortable and happy once you step into their rooms. So far, rooms have similar sunny effects on me.
The spacious and elegantly designed room stars an ultra plush bed which may seem a bit soft at first but really just made me feel like I’m bouncing on clouds. I slept exceptionally well there and miss the luxurious smooth sheets.
Thoughtfully decked with sufficient power points for the avid gadget user, fssingapore is great if you’re looking to work from hotel, especially with the delicious coffee capsules provided.
If you find the pillows provided not to your liking, the hotel has a pillow menu. I got the contour pillow which was sent up within minutes.

QIN Restaurant
As the only in-house hotel-operated restaurant and bar, QIN is where the breakfast for hotel guests is served. Last time it used to be a la carte style but now it is buffet style. The spread is of an average variety and some dishes are better than others. The chefs are nice though and will cook up eggs your way if you order from them. A lovely ambience with the natural light that comes in.

My husband and I absolutely love the rooms at The Clan Hotel as they are so well-designed and have a contemporary aesthetic. It helps that they perfume the rooms and hotel spaces in a low-key soothing scent, making for a pleasant experience. Our room didn’t have a bath tub though.

Hilton Singapore staycay
Love the clean lines and neutral tones of the room design, my favourite spot was the sofa by the window. Even came with a bath tub to soak in. One issue was that the soundproofing wasn’t too good, we could hear guests from other rooms or the corridors.

Sofitel Spa is the hotel-operated spa that is surprisingly not located within the same site as the hotel itself. Instead, in order to get to this place, guests need to arrange for a buggy transfer ride at the concierge desk, which could involve some waiting time.
Upon reaching here, we were warmly greeted by the counter staff, who offered us ginger tea. The facilities include hot pools and two swimming pools. The mud pool was closed during our visit as it was the pandemic. However, the place does need some sprucing up.
