Pandan, a plant commonly found in Southeast Asian cuisine such as in Singapore and Malaysia, is also a favorite in Hong Kong, like the pandan cake that locals often enjoy. It's clear that this restaurant specializes in Singaporean and Malaysian dishes.
The new-style fusion cuisine, located in ELEMENTS, is expectedly not cheap, with an average dinner cost starting from $300 up.
I ordered a $260 whole roasted spring chicken with Northern Thai tom yum kung satay sauce. The highlight is the sauce, which has a fragrant and spicy flavor, and the chicken is roasted to a fragrant perfection.
The Singaporean-Malaysian-Thai fusion includes pasta/rice dishes, as well as authentic Bak Kut Teh. I tried the $238 pineapple fried rice, served in a hollowed-out pineapple. It contains shrimp, clams, mussels, scallops, squid, and is topped with baked cheese, plus a piece of grilled pineapple for a sweet finish.
The ambiance and decor are nice, providing a comfortable atmosphere. With ELEMENTS being spacious, it's nice to take a leisurely stroll and do some window shopping after the meal.

Enjoying a great meal with a friend, we chose to go to "Tiger Iron Teppanyaki". The Tiger Iron two-person set meal costs $2,880. Overall, there is a wide variety of food, the portions are very generous, and the taste is exceptionally good😋
The first dish of the set meal is the avocado and shrimp salad. The shrimp are fresh, and the salad dressing makes the dish even more delicious, a great appetizer.
Next comes the crab meat, sea urchin, and truffle soft-boiled egg. The runny egg yolk combined with the fresh taste of crab meat and sea urchin, plus the aroma of black truffle, is really delicious😍
Pan-fried Japanese oysters and live abalone with crab meat nori sauce are also highlights of the set meal. The oysters🦪 are large, with 3 pieces, plump and tasty, very good! The live abalone with crab meat nori sauce further enriches the flavor, with large and chewy abalone🤤
For the main course, we chose the Kumamoto Prefecture A5 Wagyu thick steak and Spanish Iberian pork tenderloin. The Kumamoto A5 Wagyu is cooked just right, with tender and juicy meat, very delicious; the Iberian pork tenderloin is tender and smooth, with a rich pork flavor.
The set meal also includes pan-fried wild vegetables and scallop tofu sea bream soup. The scallop tofu sea bream soup has a rich and fresh taste. Finally, the set meal concludes with black truffle salmon roe sea urchin cup fried rice and teppanyaki soufflé ice cream. The teppanyaki restaurant in Sheung Wan has a great environment and service. It's suitable for dining with friends or even for business meals with clients. Today, we tried the Australian abalone set for two. First, they show you the ingredients, which are very fresh.
The appetizer is a cucumber roll with salmon roe, refreshing and full of the salmon roe's flavor.
Then comes the teppanyaki part. The Australian abalone is huge, cooked in three different ways, creating layers of texture. First is the sliced method, with abalone liver sauce and kelp. Then, the diced method, which is very refreshing and has a bouncy texture. Finally, the abalone's edge, with a soft and tender texture. Three ways to enjoy it.
The seasonal seafood is razor clams with sakura shrimp, fresh and crisp. The tilefish is grilled with its scales on, making it tender and the scales crispy. Clams cooked in sake are sweet and carry a hint of the wine's fragrance.
The beef is thick-cut and thin-cut American beef. The thick-cut has a rich flavor and is juicy, especially when eaten with garlic slices. The thin-cut is cooked to medium-rare, tender and fragrant wrapped with scallions and garlic. Eating it with raw egg makes it even smoother.
Next are the stir-fried mixed vegetables, soup, pickles, and fried rice with a poached egg. For dessert, there's caramel toast which is very crispy. There's also sherbet.

The bread here is simply delicious. The bagels have a tasty dough that is simply delightful, and the focaccia's balance with the salad filling is amazing. I was moved by how delicious the bread was. Even people with license plates from other prefectures come by car. There are only three seats for eat-in (breakfast), so reservations are recommended. The road is narrow despite the short distance, so be careful when driving. It was a bakery that made me happy just by eating.

Tseung Kwan O South Bridge Day Trip
With more time during the New Year, I've been visiting various places. Recently, I went to the new landmark in Tseung Kwan O, the South Bridge, to take some photos. Just looking at it, I already found it magnificent. Taking a leisurely stroll there while enjoying the sea breeze and watching the sunset was truly top-notch.
After that, I went to the ground atrium and the outdoor rainbow corridor of the Ocean Wings complex to take more photos. As a cat owner, I was delighted to find a photo spot with cats.
Later, I visited a dog-themed cafe for afternoon tea. The place is called Dreams Cafe, where many dog owners bring their pets for gatherings. Just chilling and chatting there made for a pleasant day.

This cream puff shop has branches near many subway stations, and I really love their cream puffs😋. There are so many styles and flavors to choose from👍🏻. The filling is super generous, and I always feel so satisfied after eating! They recently released a new flavor for the New Year, and I wanted to try it, but unfortunately, it was already sold out~ However, that didn't stop my craving for cream puffs😂. I bought a few to enjoy at home😋

Garang Cafe, Khao Lak, Thailand
This was such a amazing place especially after surfing, a long walk under the sun or after meal because their homemade bakery and artisan ice creams were so delicious where in which some of the flavors are unique and a must try. We did had a hard time that it was so difficult to choose between all their flavors. The cafe even produces their own beer and there is little corner selling shirts and surfing equipment too.
The cafe is just opposite to the beach. What a good place to chill!

Encore La Vela Hotel Khao Lak
Stay at La Vela Khao Lak again, because we missed the delicious breakfast and the kitchen of Kukolo Club so much. This time we stayed in a family room, with a King size bed and a Queen size bed, and a Jacuzzi bathtub, which is cozy and spacious.
Every weekend, Kukolo Club serves Seafood Buffet and Japanese buffet. The lobster was cooked just right, and the meat was extremely tender. In addition to live singing, there are also fire performances.

This is a very decent buffet. It offers a wide selection of hot and cold food, seafood, sushi and desserts. The selected ingredients are first-class and fresh, and they are cooked properly. The staff are attentive, courteous and diligent in collecting dirty dishes, making for a great dining experience.

Khao Sok, Thailand 2 Days 1 Night Itinerary (Part 1)
It takes about 3 hours to drive from Phuket to Khao Sok National Park. The first stop was lunch in Phangnga city. A friend recommended to eat this wanton noodle. Cost 55 baht, large portion can be served with or without soup. The taste is good but I was more than happy with its Cantonese clear soup base, which is rare in Thailand. The address is diagonally opposite Hua Lard Cafe, Phangnga. After eating noodles, we went to this cafe for coffee. OMG! Hot Americano is only 40 baht, and Banoffee is only 69 baht. The prices outside of Phuket are much cheaper.
The next stop we stopped at Small Sandy. First of all, foreigners have to pay an entrance fee of 100 baht, and then walk on for about 10-15 minutes. It is not difficult to walk the road but not recommended for those with limited mobility. The beach area is small, the water is clear and the sand is fine and you can swim there, but overall it is not worth coming unless you have too much time.
Well, come back to this destination, Khao Sok.

Today I went to the old Fengcheng Restaurant, which has been renamed Yidong Restaurant. I heard that all the chefs and waiters are old people, so I decided to go nostalgic.
The place here is not big, but there is a queue to get tickets and wait to be seated. Fortunately, it only takes 20 minutes to get a seat.
Come to Longjing tea first, and then choose various dim sum:
~ 4 fried leeks with fresh shrimp, big and fresh, with shrimp inside, very delicious and chewy.
~Two siu mai huang, very big and wrapped with two or three prawns and pork, chewy and savory.
~Fresh bamboo beef balls, cut very large and old, the taste is more beefy, but I prefer the texture of the teeth.

~鲜虾炸韭菜4只, 又大又新鲜,内里虾,很美味又有嚼感。
~烧卖皇两只,很大而且 用了两三只虾仔和猪肉包在一起,有嚼劲又惹味。
~鲜竹牛肉球,切得很大旧,味偏牛浓味,但我较喜欢牙感。
~香芋鸭脚扎,芋头煑得淋,鸭脚皮亦很爽,味道适中,很有嚼感。
~怀旧北姑棉花鸡, 材料很丰富,很惹味。
~西米pudding也很好,一小个38元就是小贵!
肚子饱饱,再来两杯茶解肥腻,足矣😋🤗
