Watching African penguins at Boulders Beach

Penguins and more 🐧 African penguins are named as such as they are the only ones breeding on the African continent. But how can penguins, most commonly known as breeding on ice, be found under the hot sun of Africa? They can do this as they feed in the cold waters of the Benguela upwelling current, which is a very rich system but very cold too. On land they cope with the warmer climate by burrowing, emerging at dusk and dawn, and using the pink glands above their eyes to cool the blood down. They can also increase their heat loss by holding the flippers away from the body, so both surfaces of the flippers are exposed to air, releasing heat. African penguins don't have feathers on their legs and have bare patches on their faces where excess heat can be heat. #beachlife #capetown #southafrica #penguins

Best of Both Worlds

I love amusement rides. Put in an aquarium in there too and I can't help but feel like a kid. Ocean Park Hong Kong combines these interests in a theme park where you can get an adrenaline rush trying rides or simply marvel at animals housed in the park. It's the closest that I got to several creatures that I wouldn't see in my home country like the panda, seals, penguins, and rare monkeys. I'm glad we went in as early as we could and stayed for as long as the park allowed as there was so much to explore inside. The visit was full of highlights and one I cherish is how we would just sit right by the aquariums when we needed some time to rest, but it also felt like time spent admiring what Ocean Park Hong Kong has to offer. #hongkong #oceanpark #panda #penguins #themepark

Marine Wildlife - Penguin Island, Perth

Nature at it’s best. Get close to marine wildlife with a trip to Penguin Island. Ferry transfer to Penguin Island before boarding the Dolphin Penguin Sea Lion Cruise. On this cruise with a guide, we were able to see many dolphins in Shoalwater bay but we might be lucky as these are dolphins swimming in the wild. Cruise also went near Seal Island so that we can spot the sea lions. There is a feeding show at Penguin Island and you can explore the breathtaking scenery at the island before you catch the last ferry back to mainland. You can spot many silver gulls, take a leisurely walk at the beach, explore the trails and go to the highest point of the Penguin Island for the scenery. If you are in Cape Town, South Africa you need to stop by Boulders Bay and see the cute penguins! They are free penguins waddling around and enjoying their life. They take turns taking care of the egg and going to swim. When I went there were lots of babies and eggs. The area does smell a little bit what do you expect it’s the wild! It’s super great to see the animals interacting in their own environment! #penguins #capetown

Immerse in the Gwanggyo Aqua Planet🦈

Gwanggyo Aqua planet is located in the Galleria Department Store in Suwon. I got to know about it from Klook, and I did the ticket reservations also from there only. As soon as you enter the aquarium, you start seeing so lively and beautiful creatures. We saw many many aquatic organisms that I had never seen earlier. We saw turtles, sharks, lion fish, seagulls, puffer fish, sea horses, sting rays, penguins, jellyfishes, and many, many more fishes. There was a separate area for the jelly fishes where jelly fishes of various colors and designs can be seen. Penguin world was also rich. We caught 2 shows as well, one magic show and one show where the instructor was feeding the animals. On one of the floors, they also show the process jellyfishes go through their life cycle!
