Winter Land at Frozen Qinghai Lake

We spend our family holiday week in Qinghai and started from Xining. A day we spent at the famous Qinghai Lake which was still completely frozen. It’s a late winter wonderland and you feel really alone as tourist during this time. We still enjoyed the snowy mountains and cold air but unfortunately couldn’t catch a lot from the lake. Many areas are still closed and it’s not easy to go to the waterside by yourself. If you prefer some nice time on your own and meet friendly hotel staff outside of the rush season, go in April and you can enjoy a different Qinghai Lake area. Take more time for visiting the nearby mountains and enjoy the snowy pathways in relative quite environment. #lake #wintervacation

The 8th world wonder - Milford sound

It’s a Fjord not a sound. Maoris – the native people of New Zealand named it Piopiotahi after the piopio bird, endemic to New Zealand but so unlucky now extinct. Milford sound was name after European settlers discovered this place. Here sees more rainy days than dry because of its geographical location. Hence, more waterfalls for the tourists plus the snow lays on top of those limestone dissolve. Furthermore, the sunset and sunrise are worth overnight for spectacular photos. Getting There: You can take a taxi or the subway. Attractions: A lot of lanterns and clubs/bars. You can even take a boat ride on the river or just walk and take photos. Hotels: Close to Hotel Nikko. Food and Restaurants: There are a lot of Chinese food stalls and restaurants. There are also international restaurants like Chido's Mexican Restaurant (it was closed when I went), Commune, and Starbucks. Shopping: There are a lot of shops and vendors. Getting There - Took bus 886 from my hotel to HaiXinSha GongYuan( 海心沙公园站). You can also take the metro. Best time to go is after 4pm so you can see everything in both light and after dark when all the lights come on. It’s so beautiful there. Watching the sunset 🌅 was absolutely amazing. Getting There - I booked a day trip on 美团 for my friend and I. The tour bus picked us up at a near by hotel in Siming Xiamen ,so it was very convenient. The bar itself has live music at nice with beautiful colorful lights. For drinks we ordered these huge cocktails with Corona in them, the cherry one is really good 😍😍 For food we ordered their fish and chips ❤ Best decision ever, fish was soft and tasteful, came with tartar sauce and a small salad. 🥗 I really enjoyed the live music and sang along to most of the songs. The bar is so so pretty and night with all the lights. The dream place of every kids, adults and girlfriends haha Shanghai Disneyland located in the end of line 11 of Shanghai Subway which is very convenient. You can also come by car but parking is not free. To not to wait in the long lines for attractions you can download Shanghai Disneyland resort app to apply quick pass. But you can’t apply for all attractions. Food is main problem in this resort since security will take all your foods and water in the entrance. Better to hide and sneak some food cause food inside not western culture people friendly. Plus it’s very expensive comparing to outside. Personal suggestion is to go for your favorite attractions first and then go around since resort very huge and one day for everything very exhausting.
