A day out in Wuhan
Upon climbing to the top of the Yellow Crane Tower, the whole of Wuhan reveals it's true beauty. Fill yourself up with enough hot dry noodles 热干面 and that should give you enough energy to explore the this historic site.
If you still have time for more, then head over to the East Lake and witness another beautiful site. If your legs are tired at this point, then hire one of the many bikes available around the park.
When evening comes, why not visit Jianghan Street for a taste of Europe in the heart of Wuhan. With many designer stores, coffee shops and restaurant, it's a perfect place to finish your trip.

Isa in 中国the best place for sakura 🌸 hunting: WU
Widely regarded as the most beautiful university campus in China, Wuhan celebrating its 130th anniversary (1893-2023) this year opens up to visitors for the first time since pandemic controls and shutdowns. 🌸 so this year is extremely hard to get in the booking reservation system, but it's all worth it.
Its indeed one of the best places in China to enjoy the canopy of white and pink blossoms.. due to its location where the first planted cherry blossoms seeds from Japan. The more than 2,000 cherry trees are currently in full bloom on the university campus. Follow the crowds heading to the old. dormitory buildings in classical Chinese style where the romance fills the air from the arrays of sakura trees leading up the historic university library.. it's truly a sight to behold..
If the crowd is a little too much, why not take a rest and feast the eyes by sitting at the large field overlooking the magnificient university's administration building housing the president's office. It's also one of the must see spot within the university ground.
Last but not least, it's all depends on luck and days you choose to visit, again because it needs booking reservation to enter the university. Hope the blooming of cherry blossoms a.k.a the sakura 🌸continue bring you luck and this year's affinity for a better future..

BRNO&PSK@where memories blossoms at east lake WUHAN
The annual March cherry blossoms festival is much anticipated moment in China. Cherry blossoms or also widely known as sakura in japanese are well known around the world for their radiant, delicate and transient beauty, but they are more than simply beautiful cherry blossom trees as it's symbolized the year’s harvest, chinese beauty of philosophy, hope and renewal.
Each year, people in Wuhan and other parts of China gather together to watch the cherry blossoms bloom from March and observe how at the peak of their beauty, the blossoms start to fall; providing a stark reminder that although life is beautiful, it is also ephemeral and short.
The east lake Moshan hill in Wuchang district of Wuhan is a must visit place to watch the best Sakuras bloomings at its very best! come, and it's worth every moments and memories

devils’ Brewery is the first craft brew pub in Wuhan which brings the art of brewing to the customers. All beers are brewed in our tiny shop using foreign malt, hops, and yeast.
They do not only serve craft beer, but many authentic Mexican and American dishes that pair well with the beer selection. So if you find your self thirsty and craving you can visit their place. They have in CBD mall and Hankou Wuhan Tiandi .
I love their food 🍱. Especially the burgers 🍔 and the grilled barbecue. They have some healthy food like Salad 🥗 and pasta..

Spring time - Cherry blossom time. One of the most beautiful spring cherry blossom 🌸 I saw in China was in Wuhan university.
Wuhan university is one of the oldest universities in Wuhan and China and in the middle of the city. The cherry flowers matches the hundred-year-old buildings on campus. Pink and white flower petals decorate the red windows and green upper tiles.
🎟️ It's for free, but you might have to register before, as it's quite popular and well known in Wuhan and Hubei province.

A_WandererChinese temple with Gothic elements in Wuhan
Wuhan has a very unique temple, which you probably didn't see before. The architecture is quite special and I never seen a Chinese temple like this. Gothic style like a cathedral yet, but all the statues are Chinese Buddhist. The place is not a very touristic site, so it’s relatively quiet. 🕍🏯
Gude Temple is in Hankou and was founded in 1877, the mix of characteristics of Eurasian religious architecture with Buddhist statues ist really special and worth a trip.
🕜 Opening hours are 7am to 5pm.
🎟️ Entrance is for free!

wazinitaEuropean vibes in China
When people think of Wuhan, they think of Covid so on my trip there I wanted to see what the city really had to offer. I found Europe, so many parts with Spain or German influence around in Wuhan. I visited this temple on a whim and with standard China temple thoughts in mind.
It’s free to enter, but you must wear a mask and show a health code. At the gate you will meet some locals who look after the area, in particular the plants. You can also donate money as you first enter if you wish.
The temple area isn’t huge but it does give Cathedral vibes. You can walk around inside the 2 buildings but you’ll also find many other people there to take photos. I went in the morning and it was pretty quiet and empty.
I took a taxi from my hotel over in Jiang’an area to Gude Temple and it took roughly 10 minutes to arrive.

The Yellow Crane Tower is Wuhan's most famous attraction.
The original 黄鹤楼 was built in AD 223 but it has been rebuilt several times since then. In fact, the tower has been said to mirror the fortunes of China itself. The previous iteration burnt down in the late Qing Dynasty, when Wuhan was a treaty port forced open by the Great Powers. The current version, a convincing copy of the Qing tower (with the addition of a lift for those unable to climb the many stairs) was built during the PRC's opening up in the 1980s.
Yellow Crane Tower overlooks the Yangtze and is in a lovely park containing another tower, tranquil gardens and a giant bell you can ring for a modest donation. I recommend going in the mid- to late-afternoon so you can spend a couple of hours enjoying the park before climbing the tower in time to see the sunset. Admission is a little steep but don't cheap out. It's really worth going if you're in Wuhan.
