Start your day at Belém Tower, a UNESCO World Heritage site that offers panoramic views of the Tagus River. Remember to arrive early to beat the crowds!
Next, take a ride on the iconic Tram 28. It winds through the city’s most historic districts, including Alfama, Baixa, and Graça. Keep an eye on your belongings, as pickpockets are known to target tourists.

In the afternoon, visit the LX Factory, a creative hub filled with unique shops, art studios, and restaurants. Don’t miss the chance to browse through Ler Devagar, one of the world’s most beautiful bookstores.

Definitely get a tuk tuk to the top - you don’t want to walk up… You can go inside the castle, walk up the hills to the view points, lovely forests and gardens and we loved the well. 🇵🇹 A Popular Chinese Restaurant in Lisbon
Chuan Yue 川粤汇 is a Chinese restaurant in Lisbon which specialises in authentic Sichuan and Cantonese cuisine. The restaurant is very popular among the Chinese community in Lisbon. It is also the go-to place for locals who crave Chinese food. We visited the restaurant twice during our stay in Lisbon as it is conveniently located next to our hotel @ Lutécia Smart Design Hotel.
We tried some of the familiar Chinese dishes on the menu. Some of the dishes were a bit too salty to our likings on our first visit so we requested for less salty options during our second visit. Most of the dishes we ordered tasted good and the prices were very affordable. The drinks were reasonably priced too.

Lisbon in the rain 🌧️
#thingstodo
It is quite sad that during the time I was in Lisbon, there’s storm coming and made a huge rain in Lisbon. However , I can still capture some of the great moment from those buildings. The Praca Do Comercio is a huge and harbour facing plaza, I really liked the reflection during the raining time and it made the floor become wet and like a mirror. The yellow colour of the buildings just made a perfect combination with the background with the reflection!

Lisbon is one of my favourite city in Europe and I already fell in love with this place. This place is really affordable to go , in comparison to another country in Europe. The view is stunning and overwhelming. I really liked the sea view especially. In the last week, I have been there and joined a boat tour to see the city and the sunset on the sea, which made me feel really comfortable and enjoyed.
There’s loads of buildings and the city area you could see and I will say this is another way to explore through another angle of the eyes.

🇵🇹 Lisbon's iconic yellow Tram 28
As someone who loves taking trams, how could I miss taking Lisbon's iconic vintage tram 28? The tram route offers scenic views of Lisbon's historic architecture, narrow streets, and picturesque neighbourhoods. Tram 28 navigates narrow and hilly streets, providing a unique and somewhat challenging ride. It runs from Martim Moniz to Campo Ourique (Prazeres) in about 1 hour depending on traffic conditions.
We tried taking it several times when we were in Lisbon. We didn't manage to take it the first time as the service was disrupted due to a flood. We managed to take the tram on another day from Martim Moniz but had to alight halfway as the tram track was blocked by illegally parked vehicles. On our third attempt we took the tram from another terminal Campo Ourique (Prazeres) and rode all the way to Martim Moniz. The tram is usually very crowded with locals and tourists so if you want a seat it's better to board at the first stop.

🇵🇹 Climbing the Belém Tower
#freehotelstay
One of the must do's in Belém is climbing the beautiful Belém Tower which was inscribed in 1983 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site together with the neighbouring Jerónimos Monastery. Standing strikingly on the northern bank of the Tagus river estuary, Belém Tower was built in the early 16th century to defend the Tagus estuary.
The tower is about 10 to 15 minutes walk from Centro Cultural Belém tram stop. You will first reach Jardim da Torre de Belém, a beautiful park where Belém Tower is located. Entrance tickets to the tower can be bought from the booth in the park. An adult entrance ticket costs €8. The tower is about 30 metres tall and consists of 4 floors. You can climb to the top of the tower through narrow staircases. The view of Tagus River and the surrounding neighbourhood from the ground is stunning.

🇵🇹 Quinta da Regaleira, the most Beautiful Mansion in Sintra
#wheretogo
A visit to Sintra is not complete without visiting Quinta da Regaleira, one of the most beautiful estates classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO within the "Cultural Landscape of Sintra". Quinta da Regaleira is a neo-gothic mansion designed and built in the late 1800s. The major attractions of the mansion are its picturesque gardens and the iconic initiation well. The initiation well is not a real well as a source of water. It is an underground tower in the Quinta da Regaleira built for ceremonial purposes. It consists of a 27-metre spiral staircase about 6 storeys high. At the bottom of the well are two main tunnels, one of which leads to the outdoor garden. It was truly a surreal and magical experience walking down the well and through the tunnels!

The park's lush green lawns, shaded by tall trees, provide a welcoming space for picnics, relaxation, and outdoor activities. Families and friends gather here to enjoy sunny days, and the sense of camaraderie is palpable.
One of the park's highlights is its beautiful pond, where ducks glide gracefully on the water. It's a tranquil spot that invites reflection and a sense of peace.

Eduardo VII Park in Lisbon is a green sanctuary in the heart of the city that left a lasting impression on me. Named after King Edward VII of the United Kingdom, the park is a serene escape from the urban hustle and bustle.
My visit to this park was a delightful experience. The grand central avenue, lined with beautifully manicured gardens and statues, leads to a viewpoint that offers breathtaking views of Lisbon and the Tagus River. It's a spot that's perfect for taking in the city's beauty.
The park's lush lawns, inviting benches, and fountains provide a peaceful retreat for both locals and tourists. Strolling through the tree-lined pathways, I found a sense of tranquility that contrasted wonderfully with the vibrant city just beyond the park's boundaries.

A lift built in 1902 😮🇵🇹
#timetotravel
Santa Justa Lift was built in the 1902 to connect the lower part of the town to the upper part of the town.
We visited during the late afternoon and there was a queue to get tickets at the box office. Although the queue passes quite quickly, if you hate to queue it is perhaps better to go in the morning when they open!! Or, alternatively, you could walk up to the observation deck in the upper part of the town if you wish to avoid the crowd.
I personally quite enjoy the elevator ride, as it is the perfect blend of history and modernity. The observation deck no doubts offers amazing views of lisbon, how cute are all the houses with the brick red roof!!
I would recommend taking the lift if you’re in Lisbon if the queue is not ridiculously long!! But one way or the other, you definitely should go up to the observation deck on the upper part of the town!!

Read if you are on the hunt for good food in Lisbon 🇵🇹😋🍖
#timetotravel
We came during late afternoon on a weekday and the Time Out Market was quite empty.
You may consider this a tourist trap but honestly we saw quite a few locals dining at the Time Out Market and the food is not too expensive. At the end of the day, as long as the food is good and not overpriced, i’m happy ☺️ This market is ideal for tourists that wants to try out different kind of local dishes.
We ordered a portion of tuna tartare and ham served with melon and sourdough. Everything was so fresh and amazing!!! The melon and ham combo was so amazing, I still dream about it this day 🤤😋
Hands down, I would 100% recommend visiting this market.

Medieval Fortified Tower in Belem, PORTUGAL 🇵🇹

I visited the Belem Tower after its opening hours so I was not able to go in an only looked at it from the outside. But nonetheless, I believe it was still worth visiting and taking pictures with it on the outside. It is because what are the odds you will find another historical monument by the port!!
The tower itself is truly beautiful and is a well maintained historical monument.
Definitely worth a visit when you are in Lisbon. There are also loads of cafe and restaurants near by if you want to take a break from exploring.
