Refreshing Hike at Dengsheng Valley
Dengshenggou or Dengsheng Valley is a wonderful valley inside the Aba Wenchuan Panda Natural Reserve. If you're lucky, you can see wild animals!
Inside the Valley there is a big and a small circle to hike, the big circle is also doable in 3-5 hours, the small circle is faster.
🎟️ The first time I went it was 30RMB per person, last time it was for free
🚗 There is parking available, busses to Mount Siguniang also go through there...

Song Dynasty's Temple in Kangding🇨🇳
#timetotravel
This is Nanwu Temple one of the temples that you could visit in Kangding. It was originally built in the 11th century during the Song Dynasty. It is located at the foot of a mountain and is a stone structured courtyard. The architecture and design is very detailed which we really enjoyed observing. Inside the temple are monks, when we were there, they are some sort of praying so make sure to be silent and respect the temple and the monks. We couldn't even use our cameras as we weren't entirely sure if it was ok to take photos. Very chill and relaxed temple as you would expect. There are not a lpt of tourists too.
Entrance Fee: free of charge.
Address: Lucheng South Road, Kangding.

Mount Qingcheng-A Great Hike to the top! 🇨🇳
#timetotravel
We came to Dujiangyan just by ourselves and without a tour group and it is quite easy. We really had a lovely time at the mountain especially seeing and walking through the beautiful nature. We didn't hike all the way to the top of the mountain because we weren't properly clothed and equipped. You will see the best panoramic stunning view of the surrounding forest Please be aware that there are some steep stairs so make sure that you are well equipped with a good pair of boots or shoes. You can also take the cable car to cut the hiking short.

This is the irrigation sysyem located in Dujiangyan. It is about 1 hour and half away from Chengdu depends on where you are coming from in Chengdu. I must say that this is worth your time. You can easily spend long hours here walking and just learning about how the irrigation system was built and also how it works. It took so much effort and hardwork to build this and I truly appreciate it. I have nothing but admiration towards the incredible people who designed and implemented this ancient water management system!

Where to go Golfing in Chengdu 🇨🇳
#timetotravel
If you want to have fun and just want to try golfing in Chengdu then you can go to this place. We played a 9 hole par three course for about 90 minutes and it was fantatstic. My friends and I totally enjoyed it. The place is wwell maintained and we were provided clubs however you can bring your own club if you have one to reduce the expenses here. It isn't the cheapest place but it is all about what makes you happy at the end of a long week of working right? You gotta still treat yourself in a way that you will enjoy. So if golfing float your boat then go and have fun.

Weekend Getaway in Chengdu 🇨🇳
#timetotravel
We have been to this resort about three time already we have always loved our stay there. We usually go there if we just wanted to get away from Chengdu and want to relax with decent food. We feel like always rejuvinated ever after our stay here. I mean, it has everything that will make you entertained and relaxed. It has hotsprings, KTV, archery and few more activites that you can enjoy plus it is near Mt. Qingcheng and the irrigation system. Most of the tourists come to Dujiangyan because they want to see Mt. Qingcheng and the irrigation system and I can highly recommend this resort for a great stay while in Dujiangyan. It is spacious, the interior and exterior of the hotel are just beautiful. You can easily reach Dujiangyan by bullet train which will approximately take you around 1 hour and 40 minutes. The just take a didi to the resort.
Enjoy your stay!

A town worth stopping at 🏘🏯😍in Sichuan province
Wenchuan town. 📍2 hours northwest from Chengdu on the G4217. A beautiful town full of great architecture and culture, with added history of heroism after the 2008 earthquake that shook the region. M.O.T.A.S around the world Earthquake memorial and ruins near Chengdu
📍An hour drive south of the town of Wenchuan or 2 hours Northwest of Chengdu, the town of Yingxiu, holds the ruins of a school building that collapsed as result of the Magnitude 8 earthquake that shook the country in 2008. the memorial plaque in front of the school, displays the time of the earthquake 2:28 pm. It is a place to visit to remind us of the power of nature of how defenseless we are to it's will. An emotional scene, we must remember this is a burial site for some, mostly middle school children and where their families go to pay their respects, we must treat it with the respect it deserves.📜 Do take the time to look at the pictures outside and read about the efforts of he rescue teams, some who perished in the subsequent landslides and aftershocks. A story of humanity, team effort and community spirit at a very difficult time.
There is carpark available across the road from the memorial, you must then cross the pedestrian bridge to access it. Buses run from Wenchuan or Chengdu every day.
There is no admission fee, but outside the memorial you can pay to access an earthquake simulator that will give you an idea of he intensity of the seismic movement that day. #roadtrip #memorial #chinatravel #sichuan #china

#wecreate
We've been all around and so far Jiuzhai Valley is one of the best places I have ever visited and seen. The water is serene with majestic mountains that surround the lakes. Whereever you are in China, I suggest that this must be and should be in your list to visit before you leave this country. This place is such a feast in the eyes. So go and experience it yourself.
HOW TO GET HERE:
1. Take a long distance bus from Xinnamen Bus Station in Chengdu. It will take you around 8-10 hours travel time and if it is during holiday time then prepare for longer hours on the bus.
2. Take the plane. It will only take you approximately an hour to reach Jiuzhai Huanglong Aiport.
Note‼️
1. If you're weak in dealing with altitude then I suggest you prepare yourself by taking some altitude sickness a week before you explore this fairyland. You have to be in your best health to totally enjoy everything.
2. It is cold there and misty so bring a raincoat and wear comfortable shoes and clothes.

Chengdu’s MUST visit - Kuanzhai alley
One of the best things you can do in Chengdu is to visit this ancient street. Kuanzhai alley is one of my favorites of the city. There are lots of tea-houses, coffee shops and restaurants with delicious food. 🥘 Also many shops with souvenirs of local landmarks, also a nice decorated bookstore 📚 Every corner of the Kuanzhai alley is a nice spot for taking pictures 📸 I’ve been here once in winter and another time in summer. Both seasons were perfect for this place. 💚

Prince Teng’s Pavilion 🌸
From the main gates going up about 1000 steps will take you to this beautiful pavilion which is located on the top of the mountain in city Langzhong. It has history of more than 1300 years. From the top of the mountain you can enjoy the panoramic view of the city. 🏙
I’d recommend to travel here in spring, because all your way from the bottom to the top from both sides will be covered with many trees of cherry blossom 🌸
To visit the sightseeing no ticket is required.

Scenic Monastry: Paoma Mt. Park Kangding 🇨🇳
On your first day in Kangding, I can actually highly suggest that you acclimitize first then hike up to Paoma Mt. Park. This mountain is known as the famous love song mountain in Kangding. It is really nice up there as it will give you a panoramic view of Kangding. A great activity for just a couple of hours just within the city. You don't need to go far to see a scenic view of Kangding.
There are two options on how to get to the top of the mountain. First, you can hike up if you like hiking. Second is take the cable car. If you take thr cable car then it will cost you 50rmb per person.
Once you reach the top, you will then again have to pay 50 rmb as your entrance fee so you can roam around the area. There is also a monastry up there where you can enter freely.
Enjoy your Kangding Trip.

Walking around Kangding, Sichuan
Kangding is a county level city that is 8,400 feet ( 2560 m) above sea level. It is located at the seat of Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuna, China. It is the home of Han Chinese, Tibetans and other minorities.
Getting There - From Chengdu you can either take a bus or by plane. Buses to Kangding leave from Xinnamen Bus Station. The journey takes you about 5-8 hours deoending on traffic. If you are going during holiday than it is carzy traffic. It took us 14 hours. That's how busy the roads are to Kangding.
There are many attractions in the city and outside the city that requires 2-3 or even 5 hours drive. I have posted attractions in Kangding so please feel free to check them out.
Food & Restaurants - Food here is amazing. Tibetan and Chinese food are around and even some western food but not a lot of options.
Shopping - If you are staying by the river then you are basically in the shopping street.
‼️Tip
1. Oxygen bottle- if you suffer from altitude sickness then you might be needing an oxygen bottle. There are oxygen bottles around so just grab if you feel dizzines, shortness of breath or headache.

Mugecuo Lake Scenic Area, Kangding 🇨🇳
What a stunning sight to behold. After an hour drive from Kangding center to its entrance and another 30 minutes bus ride to the top we reached one of Kangding's treasue - The Mugecuo Lake. It sits in an altitude of almost 4000m above sea level so coming here was a bit of a struggle for me especially when we reached the top.
Getting There - I suggest to speak to your hostel/hotel to book you a car to the entrace of Mugecuo lake. No worries because, you will be booked for a return journey so you don't have to book another car that will take you back to your hotel. For the round trip cost, you will oay around 159-200.
Entrance Fee+Bus ride : 200 per person
‼️TIPS and Warnings
1. DO not come to this place on the same day or the next day upon arrival in Kangding. Acclimitize yourself first in the city then head up. If you're under the weather like me and you don't exercise then the altitude sickness will really strike you. If you're healthy then probably you will be ok. Just listen to your body.
2. Headache, dizziness, fast heartbeat and wanting to puke are signs of altitude sickness
3. Purchase an oxygen bottle
Despite my awful altitude sickness, I still appreciate the beauty that Mugecuo Lake possesses.
Enjoy your time there!

Hailuogou Glacier Forest Park, Sichuan 🇨🇳
This Glacier Park is located in Moxi Town, Garze Sichuan Province. It is/has the largest ice fall in China and has massive virgin forest which has a lot of monkeys. You will see them while walking in the forest.
As you can see in my photos, there's only fog and the glacier cannot be seen anywhere. We got so unlucky because the weather was bad when we were there. It wasn't raining but it was foggy, cold and misty.
Thr last photo was just taken from one of their signage there. That is how it is supposed to look like on a clear day. Unfortunate, yes but we still enjoyed it.
How to get there: From your hotel to the ticket office, it will only take you minutes to get there.. depending on how far your hotel is from the ticket place. It is also where the buses will be waitong for you which will take you up to the middle of the mountain. You can either hike up until you reach the peak or you can take the cable car with extra cost.
(You can check my Moxi Town post to see how to get to the town first as this town will be your starting point)
Hotel: There are so many to choose from and trip.com has a few options for you.
Food: A lot of restaurant options just right outside your accommodation.
Ticket Price: 90 rmb per person
‼️TIPS
1. Check the weather first or time you visit well. Make sure that it isn't raining.. You must visit there on a clear day if you want to see the glacier.
Remember, there is no refund with your tickets. Don't waste it and just plan your visit when the weather is nice.
Enjoy the glacier park!

Hot Spring Hotel in West Sichuan 🇨🇳
For sure, the reason why you are in Moxi Town is because you want to see the Glacier Park right? So after a long day of walking and climbing at the glacier park, it would be perfect if you can dip yourself into a hotspring pool. We didn't stay in the hotel but we only purchased an entry to their hot spring which was not too bad considering the view that you will be seeing while you enjoy the hotspring.

Hotels - Gongga Cliff hotspring hotel
Food & Restaurants - The hotel has a restaurant on site.

Peaceful Temple in Sichuan's Tianquan
Tianquan is a part of Sichuan's Ya'An City, a little bit to the West, in the way to Kangding. This temple is at the corner of the town and is called 慈朗寺 (Ci Lang Temple). It's small but great to explore with no tourists.
Visiting the temple is for free and parking is available. From Tianquan downtown it's a 5 RMB taxi or scooter ride. It's also a great stop on a trip to West-Sichuan.

Gorgeous mountain hike in Jiangyou, Sichuan!
Take the 806 stair hike (or cable car) to the top of this beautiful mountain in Sichuan, China. This Buddhist temple dates back to the mid 1700s during the Ming Dynasty. The beginning hike is very steep, taking on hundreds of stairs. If stairs aren’t your thing, take the cable car for a fair price . It is 100% worth the view at the top! At 1:30pm, a stuntman walks the cable connecting the two peaks. It’s quite the show! The top is covered with trees and cool places to rest, have some snacks, and take unforgettable pictures! #hiking #Sichuan #China #mountain #buddhisttemple #stairs

Wonderful experience in Sichuan. You can take the high-speed train or drive to the location from Chengdu. Be sure to not go on a holiday! There are two parts of the park. The Giant Buddha and the Oriental Buddha Park, and you need to purchase tickets for each. It’s worth going to the 2nd park to see the Pharmacist Buddha, 10,000 Buddhas Cave, and the Lying Down Buddha! Be ready for some stairs, some long lines, and sunshine on days with good weather. I heard the boat tour also has a wonderful view!#LeshanGiantBuddha #Leshan #Sichuan #giantbuddha #awesomepic
