Volcano island near to Thira 🇬🇷

Volcano island is one of the iconic place near to Santorini. This place is full of lava and also still considered as a active volcano. The scenery on the island is awesome with the 360 degrees ocean view. Moreover, there’s some lava pieces like the red sands , they are really unique. It is easy to take the boat from the old port of Santorini to there. I really enjoyed this trip so far and hopefully one day I can go back to there again.

There is no doubt that Santorini is one of the best island in the world. I have spent three days in here in total and I really enjoyed a lot and had a good time with my family. The white house with the blue sky are just perfect combination for a good picture. Moreover, I have witnessed the beautiful sunset in Oia, which located on the north of the island. The sunset is beautiful with the golden colour! On the second day, I went to the volcano near to Santorini and the rocks in there is unique and special. I could also see the beautiful ocean on that volcano.

Everybody has seen those famous blue roofs but not many people know it’s Oia city on Santorini island.
A labyrinth of narrow streets invites you to have a walk in The White city, where so many Greek sunsets were filmed. Not only it’s literally white but also has many patches of colorful spots consisting of blooming trees and painted facades.
Definitely worth visiting. Just better avoid the summertime heat and go during low season. 😉

Aegean is just a number
Sick at sea but making the most!
I began to feel slightly ill on my second day in #santorini. After a few tests, I felt comfortable enough to take a boat ride on the #aegeansea. With white wine in hand and a #snorkel nearby, I bounced up and down on the deep blue waves that surround some of #greece’s most gorgeous islands.
The fish were everywhere when I dived under the surface.
The sunlight eventually made me feel better, so I decided to take some quick photos to preserve the memory. I may not be an energetic teenager anymore, but this memory shows that age is just a number and that youthfulness is a mindset. Wine helps too!

Stay at The Boathouse, Kamari, they do the best breakfast, so much choice!
Beautiful sunsets, stunning scenery and just the best food.
Travel the island, see the sunset in Oia, walk the steps down to the sea at Fira but catch the cable car back up and see the ancient ruins at Thera.
Don't forget some cuddles for our furry friends 😁

Finding Santorini in Thailand
Before similar place existed in southeast asia, I think Santorini Park Cha-am is a pioneer. An amusement park in Southern of Bangkok, carries design theme like a village in Santorini, Greece. Entrance fee is 150 THB for foreigners. The funny thing is I got My friends fooled and they thought I was in Santorini for real. You can do a day trip from Bangkok, It only takes two hour drive from Bangkok. You can rent a car or get on a public van from Chatuchak market. Since it's located in Petchaburi, there are also lots of attraction you can visit.

Sunset Ammoudi Restaurant is located Ammoudi Bay is a tiny fishing port down from 300 steps below the town of Oia. 🇬🇷 We walked down to downhill Ammoudi Bay and so worth it! The view is beautiful.. ( You can get a taxi )
We arrived for lunch and was seated on the seafront seat, the fresh sea air, the beauty of deep azure waters and the boats anchored nearby made for an memorable setting.
We ordered a nice bottle of white wine ( Greek ), a few starters to share with-Santorini’s Fava & Taramo salad arrived with freshly baked bread 🥖 the Greek Salad included cherry tomatoes and local cheese 🍅 🥗 🍋 ( Plentiful ) fried calamari, Sun dried Octopus 🐙
For main course we were invited inside to choose our own fish and loved the idea to try out daily fresh fish of the day as main course 🐟
All of the food was fabulous! The salad was freshly prepared and the fish we ordered big enough for two people to share, cooked to perfection and came with side vegetables 🥦 🥕 🥔
Our entire meal was excellent and staff members were engaging and came over several times if needed anything else! Definitely a meal to remember 🍽️👌

All suites are situated in a separate area from the main building and really felt like you’re on your own little bubble in this wonderful spacious private area! 🤩 Each room is luxuriously appointed and had everything we need during our 2 nights stay here. 👌
Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, always you’ll find freshly baked pastries and changeable menu options. We also tried their Ala Carte restaurant which is located by the pool. Evenings are so tranquil and relaxing there, restaurant offers unique menu and good selection of local and international wine.

The hotel is only 4km from Santorini International Airport. There are regular bus services from Kamari to Fira or Oia, if you wish for a day trip. 🚎

We had so much fun in heated private pool with family members, and ordered some light snacks, champagne and fruit bowls. I must mention that excellent room service, friendly and professional staff! 👌

We found this little gem in the hidden streets of Oia, Santorini Greek island. “Roka” Restaurant serves in an old building of 1912 Greek style architecture –in an area where you can notice vintage captain houses.This lovely restaurant is little away from the caldera side, tucked away inside charming side street.
Entering lovely little front courtyard, rear terrace and inside room, decorated in cyclades style. The design colours were vibrant, Santorini inspired blue chairs and cute tables. The nice menu and freshly cooked to order, the service and food were equally great, Good selection of beer and wine were on the menu.
Greek salad was lovely, fish soup delicious and steak cooked the perfection 👌
We will definitely go back there again next year, Thank you Roka team members!

Blue Dome Hunt - Oia 🌊

You’re not in Santorini yet if you didn’t visit the famous blue dome in Oia. In my experience visiting Oia and Fira, both are picturesque and have its own charm. Oia is a famous destination for honeymoon couples if you’re wondering why its much more expensive to stay in Oia.
You can stay in Fira and take the bus for just 1.80€ to Oia. It will take around 20 minutes from Fira bus terminal to Oia bus terminal (but this terminal is not a terminal actually - more like open space for taxi/bus to stop with restaurants nearby).
It’s advisable to wear comfy shoes as there’s lot of stairs you will need to walk through. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses and bottle of water with you. Sunset in Oia is magnificent but it will be crowded and the queue to take pictures with the blue dome is crazy. Surprisingly there’s less people during sunrise but the view is still stunning. So you can take picture without being photobombed at this time.

Are you looking for a beach vacation in Santorini? Then I suggest you to go to Kamari beach or Perissa. You can also hop on/off near by islands via ferry’s.
From Santorini we took a ferry and visited Mykonos which was only 2 hours journey, then went onto other islands such as Tinos, and Paros. It’s all worth it, each island has their own unique charm.

Colors of Santorini
An island in the Aegean Sea with stunning views, beautiful color tones and iconic blue and white buildings.
From my perspective, there are two best ways to enjoy the island:
- if you want the see and experience as much as you can during your stay - purchase tours with guide and local transport
- if you want to do whatever you want whenever you want and don’t mind missing a thing or two - rent a car
We opted for the second one and would do that again. It’s really not much of a challenge to find stunning places in Santorini. However, without a car or arranged transport, it’s rather complicated going places, as public transport is not very developed on the island.
Keep in mind that driving can be challenging on the island, and much of the people in the traffic come from all over the world, thus having different driving habits. Drive carefully, stay safe and have a great time.
Oh! And food there is simply awesome..

Secluded paradise in Santorini
Akrotiri Cove is a great place to stay in Santorini if you want to have an amazing time. It is located in a very secluded place, offering privacy and calmness, and at the same time it has everything you need. It's really spacious, with a large balcony with sunbeds just above the Caldera! The views are really breathtaking and you have them all to yourself. The jacuzzi is always in perfect temperature so you ccould even relax there at night.
The villa is very well equipped, so you were able to cook our own meals, but it's also only a few steps from Akrotiri center to find places for dinner or drinks. The interior of the villa is so beautiful, with Cycladic decoration, large comfortable bed and a huge couch!
Finally, the hosts are the kindest and warmest people, and they constantly make sure that you have everything you want. Totally recommend for your stay!

Sunset in Santorini feels like a dream!!
Santorini is absolutely stunning, especially at the golden hour! No wonder it becomes one of the top destination for tourists. Beautiful beaches and cliffs, delicious local foods, unique architecture.

World famous sunset in Oia, Santorini, Greece - Visit during the winter time has its good and bad. Over 95% of the shop were closed during our visit (End Dec) however the room we stayed (cave room) was 40% cheaper than summer time + you can get many tourist free photos and going into places where you normally would not be able to go to :p
