My recent trip to Chi Phat, Koh Kong province was an unforgettable experience. The beautiful lush forests and mountains provided a stunning backdrop to our adventure. Our eco-tourism activities included hiking, bird watching, and cycling through rice paddies, which gave us an excellent opportunity to learn about the flora and fauna of the region. The immense hospitality shown by the locals made us feel welcomed and comfortable throughout the trip. A highlight of the trip was our homestay, where we enjoyed real Khmer cuisine. The temples of Angkor Wat, Cambodia🇰🇭
📍Siem Reap, Angkor Wat Temples Our first destination in Cambodia! Although Cambodia is only an hours flight from Thailand, there is no doubt that you are in a completely different country. Cambodia is smaller, less developed and more rural than Thailand. There seems to be fewer crowds and less tourists roaming the streets. The first thing that I noticed was how friendly Cambodian people are, they are so so welcoming and proud of their country. Siem Reap is home to the Angkor Wat Temples and we took a 9 hour tour, exploring the some of the main ones. As Angkor Wat is the largest religious monument on the planet, there was so much to see. We learned such interesting history of the temples and of Cambodia from our lovely tour guide. And we really felt like we were tomb raiders, exploring the ancient temples. We went at 12 noon and yes its hot but there is plenty of shade in Angkor Wat, and you’ll be thankful when you pretty much get the whole place to yourself! Lets face it, its annoying seeing such a beautiful place with so many other tourists to get through right?! As you go inside (from the west gate), turn right and see the beautiful carvings first before seeing everything else

One of the classic hotel, located on top of the hill with very best view of the sea. The room is very clean, with 2 access pools and nice, friendly staff. This hotel has a fabulous heritage and is only partly operating. It offers fine accommodation for the price and I had no issues with cleanliness, the standard of the villa rooms or service. Very unique n well designed of ocean pool. Just can't get enough to dig deep in the water while enjoying the quiet ocean. Room is also great with comfy bed, a bit tiny thing to improve would be a lighter light to light up the hallway at night. Most tours here covers 3 popular temple, The Ankor wat, Byron temple and Ta Prohm Temple. I will dedicate a post dedicated to ankor wat alone as its an amazing must visit temple. Above are the temple from Byron and Prohm Temple. For me, Ta Prohm Temple is my favourite as you see all these overgrown trees growing thru the temple making this uniquely special and beautiful. Oh and also, this is where the Tomb Raider film was also filmed at.

Even before you go inside the hotel, you are greeted by majestic carved statues. The lobby of the hotel is made in an authentic Khmer style with many carvings. Inside the room are large carved beds with such Khmer woodwork. On the 14th floor, a beautiful view of the city opens up, you can catch sunset time. You can watch the sun go down while swimming in the pool. Enjoy a good breakfast buffet in the morning. Okay palace is a good place to discover Phnom Penh in comfort. Ta Ket, Angkor Wat
My plan for Angkor Wat was simple, see as many parts as possible before it gets too hot to function. I had hired a tour guide for my second day in Angkor and I’m really glad I did. He communicated with our Tuk Tuk driver to drive us between these further out temples. Ta Ket is a fun one to visit, climb up the super steep staircase, one of the few that hasn’t been covered over with wooden steps and see the view from the top. 📍51A street 306, BKK1 Phnom Penh, 12302, Cambodia Element Vegetarian is the perfect place for a romantic date for one, or two (or even 5, I'm not going to judge your dating preferences 😉) The menu is absolutely gorgeous with European and Asian fusion dishes that will please both vegetarians and carnivores. Most of the dishes are vegan except for some that contain egg/dairy, but they are all clearly labeled and the staff is prepared to answer any questions. I loved the jack fruit fish and chips (that texture!) and the mushroom dumplings with thst gorgeous creamy sauce, perfect for dipping French-style bread into. But the star was definitely the dessert-I'm still dreaming of that crème brûlée which had the perfect consistency and hint of vanilla bean with that crisp burnt sugar. I died and went to heaven! Thank you so much @elementvegetarian for serving me some of the best dishes I had in Cambodia (and the only place I went to twice!. Koh Rong Samloem Island is a Cambodian Island in the Gulf of Thailand with crystal clear water. if you don't want to hike, Sky beach is good for you, and if you love adventure and want to walk 1 hour from Sky beach to Lazy Beach. Local people can understand english and are very approachable and helpful. But before you go there, you must put cash in your pocket since there's no ATM on this island. There are some restaurants that offer you cash out thru online banking/swipe in Sky & Seracen restaurant but they charge 6%-10% per transaction. Hotels are an essential part to my trips as I love knowing I’ll have a clean room and a rooftop available if necessary. Sun and Moon Urban has just that, a rooftop bar beside the pool and I’m in a perfect place. The room was spacious and clean, would 100% stay here again. Lift cards give that level of security and the staff are super pleasant and can’t do enough to help. Sadly you can't go inside, or take photos inside. But you are allowed to peek in the windows. When you walk around the outside of the building and take in the stunning architecture of the rooftops. #celebratewithtrip The National Museum of Cambodia. It is located on Preah Ang Eng Street,13, Phnom Penh. It is one of the world's largest collections of Khmer cultural material. Entrance fee prices are US$5 for foreigner ages from 10 to 17 years old, US$10 foreigner ages from 18 years old up, 500 Riels for Cambodians. Children and school groups are free. Guided tours can be arranged for individuals or groups at the museum entrance. We went to Phnom Penh by bus from Ho Chi Minh City. There are a lot of tours in HCM to choose going to Cambodia. The bus to Phnom Penh takes about 6 to 7 hours, depending on the bus. You should get to the bus station at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure. The museum promotes awareness, understanding and appreciation of Cambodia's culture and heritage, aiming to educate and inspire its visitors.
