The Ancient! Post Office📸🏚️&LocalArt🤠
In an oldest town, post office is a on top! 🤓
The oldest surviving telegraph and post building in Western Australia and forms part of the heritage-listed town centre complex with the Court House and Police Station (1895)
The site has been continuously used as a post office since 1866. The York Post Office was built in response to the town's growing importance as a rural centre and as the town and railway centre closest to the goldfields in the Yilgarn during the initial period of the Western Australian gold rush.[1]-wiki

St Patrick’s Parish, York, WA 🌏🙏🤲
Catholic Church in York (the oldest inland town in Western Australia)!😍
22 South Street, York, WA 6302n
Inaugurated: 1883
At the time of its construction, York was the fourth largest town in Western Australia (after Perth, Fremantle and Albany) and so a "substantial and commodious" building was planned. Prior to construction, a large quantity of building material was being collected on the site.[2]-wiki

York Hall -The Oldest Inland Town in WA!📸🤓😎
All in 1911! Whoa! The hall was built in 1911!!! Shame! We weren’t able to get a look inside! At the time of construction, it was considered as the largest public hall in the whole of western australia.
Should have seen the jarrah floors, balustrading and pressed tin ceilings! Though, apparently the hall can be hired for some special events!🤑🫣
The hall was in The Shire of York which is the oldest inland town in Western Australia, situated on the Avon River, 97 kilometres (60 mi) east of Perth in the Wheatbelt, on Ballardong Nyoongar land,[4] and is the seat of the Shire of York.-wiki

Confucius Temple & China’s Imperial Exams
Just a short walk from the Lama Temple, lies the Temple of Confucius and Guozijian Museum, once the site of the imperial college during the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, and now a museum consisting of multiple scholarly halls and stone steles and showcasing the educational system in imperial China.
The Temple of Confucius in Beijing is the second largest Confucian Temple in all of China, after the one in Confucius' hometown of Qufu.
Post the visit, one can visit some of the Hutongs/Alleyways nearby to visit cafés.
Recommended for visitors who are interested in history (especially China’s ancient imperial examination system which was intended to ensure social mobility), and have more time to see more traditional architecture after visiting Lama Temple.
The subway is very closeby, so can commute easily.

ZhongGuo Xuexiang China’s No. 1 Snowtown ⛄️
China Snow Town, also known as Shuangfeng Forest Farm or literally Zhongguo Xuexiang (中国雪乡) in Chinese, is reputed as the No. 1 Snow Town in China. It is about 280 km from Harbin - the capital of Heilongjiang Province.
The snow here is famous for its thickness and high viscosity. Snowtown was not know much earlier but it rose to fame with some awards and some teleplay groups setting their bases here and taking many famous TV plays and films. So, many tourists choose to visit here from Harbin.
Tourist buses charge around RMB 600 per person for a 2 day round trip with accommodation.
A private taxi would charge anywhere from RMB 1600-2000 for a round trip (5 hour drive from Harbin).
During peak season the hotels are super expensive, costing upwards of RMB 1200 for a basic room. There are others at RMB 2000-3000 but the room photos are not authentic, difficult to trust the middlemen if you don’t know Mandarin.
The snowscape is beautiful and worth a visit nonetheless!

Worth braving the cold at -30°C!
Dazzling visitors for over 60 years now, the Harbin Ice and Snow Festival has glistening renditions of architectural wonders, folklore and traditional crafts.
Try to cover Sun Island during noon as that you could reach here in the afternoon so that you can see the day and illuminatd night version of the sculptures.
The sculptures are record-breaking in size and the night illuminations add a surreal kaleidoscope of colour to the bitter cold temperaturs -30/-40°C!
It is easily accessible by subway, so no need to book an expensive private taxi or Didi as the waiting time is too long.

Longji Dragon’s Rice Terraces 🐉
About 100 km from Guilin, the Longji Rice Terraces (Dragon’s Backbones) / Longsheng Rice Terraces (Dragon’s Rice Terraces) is a great place to hike and appreciate breathtaking terraced fields and experience the local ethnic folk culture of Zhuang and Yao people.
We had a delicious lunch at a local farmer’s residence.
