🇮🇹 Dolomites Dream: Exploring the Seceda 🏔️
#freehotelstay
🇮🇹Discovering Seceda: An Unforgettable Journey in Dolomites
🚘How to Go
The adventure begins with a scenic route to the picturesque town of Ortisei (St. Ulrich) in the Gardena Valley, the starting point for the most direct and exhilarating part of the journey: the two-tier gondola and cable car ride to Seceda.
🚠Cable Car Experience
Upon arriving in Ortisei, you'll find the cable car station ready to take you on the first leg of your ascent towards Seceda. The journey is split into two distinct phases: Ortisei to Furnes, and then Furnes to Seceda, offering a unique opportunity to witness the Dolomites from an incredible vantage point.
The second tier, the Cable Car Furnes-Seceda, is where the magic truly happens. Spanning a length of 2050 meters and a vertical drop of 700 meters, this cable car ride offers unparalleled views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. 🏔️As you ascend, the landscape unfolds beneath you in a breathtaking panorama of rugged beauty, providing a moment of awe and anticipation for the wonders that await at the summit.📍
A half-day trip to Seceda from Bolzano, especially through the Ortisei – Furnes – Seceda cable car, is really unforgettable journey for us. For those who love to ski ⛷️, Seceda is definitely a great place for you to go in Dolomites.
If you happen to visit Dolomites, don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to connect with the natural world in one of Italy's most iconic settings!💎

Dolomites: The Hidden Gem of Italy
Autumn with a tinge of winter
My trip to Dolomites in early November was an interesting one. It was still autumn yet the first snow had arrived in Dolomites which makes the scenery really beautiful, you can see the trees in its Autumn colours with white snow!
Dolomites is best explore from 2 towns in my opinion. Cortina d’Ampezzo and Ortisei. Hence, I stayed 3d2n in each town. Do take note that November is the low period where a lot of the things are closed in Dolomites such as cable car service and restaurants but that makes it a good period to visit with much lesser crowds where you can enjoy the peace and serenity of Mother Nature!
Places to visit near Cortina d’Ampezzo:
1. Lago di Braies
2. Lake Misurina (nice place for sunset)
3. Lago di Sorapis (a 4-5hrs hike)
Places to stay near Cortina d’Ampezzo:
1. Antelao Dolomiti Mountain Resort (very value for money with good views of the Antelao mountain, nice breakfast spread, included spa access and located beside the petrol kiosk for easy refueling if you are driving) there’s also EV charging for Tesla available! Book through Trip.com for the best deal!
Places to visit near Ortisei:
1. Corvara
2. Passo Gardena
3. Vallunga
4. Val Gardena
5. Val di Funes
6. Geisler Alm
7. Seisler Alm
8. Sella Pass
9. Fassa Valley
10. QC Terme Dolomiti
11. Lago do Carezza
12. Jenesien
November is a great period to visit Dolomites if you are driving and you don’t mind that some of the areas and services like cable car are closed.

Stunning Dolomites
#dolomites #naturallover
The Dolomites, also known as the Dolomite Mountains, Dolomite Alps or Dolomitic Alps, are a mountain range located in northeastern Italy. They form part of the Southern Limestone Alps and extend from the River Adige in the west to the Piave Valley in the east.
Stunning view for hikers.
Dolomites Wonders
Had the most amazing time at dolomites this past summer. We were there for 5 days and everyday we saw many beautiful places. We started off going to the famous Lake di Braies and took a boat out. The water was so clear you can see the reflection of the mountains. Then we went to hike at Tre Cime di Lavaredo for a few hours. We did 10km trail. But didn't do a loop because we found another trail that led us to the small lakes and good view of the mountains. Next we drove to Secada. We took the cable car up to see the most breathtaking landscape. It rained and fogged up in the beginning. But when the sky cleared up it was all worth it. Overall, and amazing trip!!! #dolomites #dolomiti #northernitaly
On the top of the world or at least the alps
Skiing on the alps is one of the best experiences you can have in life.
San Martino di Castrozza has 4 separate ski areas, 2 of which are connected. Plus one cross country ski track.
All of them can be reached by walk, car or two free skibus lines that run all day.
It’s truly great!

Hotel Maso Col is a Hotel, with a cafè and a great restaurant not open only to the hotel clientele but also with space reserved for anyone who enjoys a great gastronomic experience.
Surrounded by wide meadows and luxuriant woods, at the foot of the imposing Pale di San Martino on the southern side of the Dolomites, is "Maso Col".
The current family that owns it started in 1921 with a glass of freshly milked milk or a little fresh water to refresh the first "travelers" on their Dolomites.
In 1961 their malga cheeses, “el bòtiro”, cream with small fruits, grilled meats, polenta, “Tosela”, mushrooms and homemade desserts such as strudel were discovered; summer at "Caffè Col" became a rendezvous in the sun in the green, in winter a sled race.
In 2006 they fulfilled the dream of a lifetime and added eight new comfortable rooms, warm and enveloping wooden environments, a particular attention to typical cuisine, directly cured and strong of a long experience and peasant tradition.
Their kitchen offers traditional Trentino and Primierotta dishes, with particular attention to genuine and homemade products with love and passion. Truly a pleasure each time

A classic winter tourist destination, in summer San Martino di Castrozza is also a beloved destination among mountaineers and hikers who travel the trails of the Paneveggio - Pale di San Martino Nature Park.
Splendid position at the feet of the Pala Group.
The ideal destination for excursions on the Dolomites.

Alpine fairytale 🤩
Amazing nature in Trentino-Alto Adige in Italy. At the end of the summer we can still appreciate a greeny vegetation but with the first flakes of snow 😄 the location is a trail between Almdorf Fane Alm and Brixner Hütte.

Lago di Braies (also known as Pragser Wildsee) is one of the most famous lakes in the Dolomite region of Northern Italy. When I visited this lake, I actually drove into Northern Italy from Austria because I was hiking in that region. The drive was very manageable and extremely scenic. This region is Europe is absolutely stunning and I recommend visiting in Fall. The colours of the leaves on the trees makes you feel like you're in a fantasy as you drive past them.
To enjoy this lake to yourself (or with the least amount of people), please arrive as early as you can! Because it is such a picturesque location, this means many people are going to want to come here to take pictures. But only the most serious photographers will come before the sunrises. Also the reflection of the mountains on the lake looks more vivid! If you do want to take pictures, make sure you use a tripod and a remote to help you get the sharpest picture possible!
If you're looking to stay near the lake, I recommend staying at Majestic Hotel & Spa. It has great value for money and the spa is wonderful! I hope you enjoy your time there as much as I did!
