Unbelievable other worldly views in Bryce
Bryce Canyon national park offers some of the most breathtaking views I have ever experienced, the scenery makes you feel like you are on another planet entirely. We drove through on a road trip around California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah and it was by far the highlight of the trip!
We entered using an annual national park card, which is a bargain at $80 for the year - it gives you access to countless national parks across America which can be upto $45 each per entry!
The park starts off low but you start to gain altitude quite fast, and within an hour of driving you are at some of the best view points you will ever experience. There are stunning views that enable you to see for miles in the distance, the contract between the immediate red rocks and then the barron lands around were incredible We went during winter so the snow cover was very heavy but it made it even more beautiful!
It’s worth getting the map from the entrance as sometimes the signs along the route are blocked with snow! So using the map you are able to work out all the best viewing locations.
It’s also a great place for nature in the lower areas and around the entrances to the park, we were able to see dears, turkeys, pheasants and the occasional squirrel.

Time stood still in Grafton Ghost Town, Utah
Grafton Is a small Ghost Town just south of Zion National Park in Utah, I have always been fascinated by the idea of a ghost town so we made a quick stop on the way to the national park.
The ghost town is on google maps and is easy to get to, the last five minutes of the journey is off road but the road is very wide and east to drive on. As you enter the area on your immediate left is the graveyard, further down the road is the small town itself.
The town consists of about 6 buildings including a church, the Grafton Preservation society has done a good job maintaining the area and you are able to enter most of the buildings (The church was closed on our visit)
We entered the buildings that we could and took in the area, it was fascinating to see how life would have been back then. The town was founded in 1859 and survived against the weather, native Americans and disease until 1944.
For me the most interesting part was the graveyard, there is detailed information about the people interred there and it gives you a good understanding of how hard it was to survive in those days. There was a high infant mortality rate, deaths from accidents and of course fights with the native American population.
If you’re in the area for Zion National Park definitely check this out, an eye opening view into early settlement activity.

Other worldly hot springs, looks like Mars 🪐
Mystic Hot Springs is an incredible chance to experience an other worldly environment, hot springs that make you feel like you’re on Mars.
We stopped on the way to Salt Lake City from Zion national park, it was about 3 hours drive.
You can book in advance online, they will send you email confirmation with a waiver that you need to sign!
When you arrive you call the reception and announce your arrival, you park up and use the changing rooms then walk up to the hot springs.
The hot springs are located behind the farmhouse; just follow the signs. Then there are two separate hot communal hot springs along with individual baths.
Be careful with the temperatures as they get hotter the higher you go up the hill. Also make sure you bring flip flops and a towel to use for the walk from the hot springs down to the changing room.
If you’re in the area it’s well worth a visit!

Live like a Cowboy, sleeping in a wagon
If you’re heading to the Zion national park this is a great place to check out for a treat night stay. The White Bison glamping camp has some incredible options for some authentic cowboy style stays.
We chose a twin double covered wagon with its own bathroom, it was incredibly comfortable and very well designed. It has its own coffee machine, heater, TV and hot shower.
Outside was the winner for me, each wagon has a fire pit with seating and fully functioning and equipped BBQ area with a grill, fridge and dish washer.
There are detailed instructions to use everything and great wifi too. Definitely the most interesting place I’ve stayed in A long time!

Zion, Landscapes you have to see to believe!
Zion national park is something you have to see for yourself to fully believe, it’s as if you are on a totally different planet.
About 2.5 hours drive from Las Vegas for 7 from Los Angeles this national park is absolutely stunning. Famous for its ancient landscapes and untouched nature it’s a great way to see a different side of America.
We visited out of season so we were able to drive through the entire park, during season you are only allowed to drive so far and then get on the free shuttle buses.
There’s plenty of places to pull in for photos and a very interesting visitor center so make sure to save time for that!

🌄 Bryce Canyon Sunset Point 🌄
🌄 **Bryce Canyon Sunset Point:#brycecanyon #utah #nationalpark Where Dreams Touch the Horizon** 🌄
📍 **Awe-Inspiring Panorama**
Bryce Canyon's Sunset Point is a gateway to a dreamscape. As I gazed out over the Amphitheater, I was transported to a realm of otherworldly beauty. The rows of hoodoos, sculpted by nature's artistry, seemed to stretch toward the horizon in a mesmerizing dance of form and color.
🌅 **Sunset Spectacle**
As the sun dipped lower, the Amphitheater transformed into a canvas of golden hues. The setting sun cast a warm glow on the hoodoos, painting them in shades of crimson and amber. I stood in awe as the sky turned into a breathtaking tapestry, a celestial masterpiece unfolding before my eyes.
💡 **Travel Tip:** Arrive early to secure a prime spot for viewing the sunset, as Sunset Point tends to get crowded during the evening.
🚶♀️ **Trail of Discovery**
The Queen's Garden Trail descends from Sunset Point, offering an intimate encounter with the hoodoos. As I ventured down the trail, the towering rock formations took on new dimensions, revealing intricate details carved by centuries of wind and water.
💡 **Travel Tip:** Wear comfortable hiking shoes and carry water if you plan to explore the trails around Sunset Point.
📷 **Capture the Magic**
Photographers will find Sunset Point a haven of inspiration. The play of light and shadow, the contrast of colors, and the dramatic landscape offer endless opportunities to capture nature's magnificence.
💡 **Travel Tip:** Experiment with different camera settings to capture the unique colors and textures of Bryce Canyon's landscape.
🌠 **Starry Splendor**
As the sun bids adieu, Bryce Canyon's night sky emerges as another marvel. The lack of light pollution transforms the canopy above into a sea of stars. Gazing up at the Milky Way, I felt a profound connection to the cosmos.
💡 **Travel Tip:** Plan a stargazing session after sunset to witness the stunning celestial display. Bring a blanket and lay back to take in the view.
Sunset Point at Bryce Canyon is more than a viewpoint; it's a front-row seat to nature's grand spectacle. It's a reminder of Earth's capacity to create beauty beyond imagination, a canvas where light and time dance together. Whether you're a nature lover, a dreamer, or an avid photographer, Sunset Point promises an unforgettable encounter with the sublime. 🌄✨

Flower girl!
Have you ever been in the midst of a city full of people and you wanted to escape somewhere in the quiet ?
I was caught up like that in the city of salt lake and just a drive of 1hr took me away from the noise and put in the middle of a beautiful forest.
The beautiful nature evoked the inner child in me, I gazed at the Milky Way while I goto sleep, jumped out of my sleep at the rise of the sun, smell the meadow flowers.
What an experience.
If you ever come to Utah, please take a day out to camp at one of the spots, I went camping , and the pictures were taken at the broad-head meadows. #mytripvlog #campingglamping #utah #summervacation

Horseshoe Bens adventure
We visited the amazing Horseshoe Bend on the way to Monument Valley. This was an amazing location and what was even better is the fact that the hotels here in Page, Arizona are all mostly new and super super cheap to stay at. It makes a great road trip that you will remember forever!
We stayed at a gorgeous hotel in Monument Valley, called the View hotel. We stayed in the cabins just facing Monument Valley and this is an unbelievable location. I would recommend booking way in advance and be prepared to pay a high price. (The savings you make staying in Page, Arizona will help counteract the price of this!)#horseshoebend #arizona #utah #monumentvalley

The Perfect Solo Road Trip
One of the best solo road trip I've ever done was from Wyoming To Utah, a vast flat land with a sport car and convertible driving across the state towards Utah.
The drive was easy due to the straight roads, but of course could be tiring too but hey the view is amazing! Upon reach Utah, I stayed in a place called Under Canvas which is a company that does glamping at several places in the states. What adds to the amazing experience is waking up in the middle of limestone cliffs where the sun reflects the light onto these magnificent cliffs making it reddish.
I have to say that I dislike camping out alone, but under canvas glamping experience gave me a whole new perspective of travelling solo and camping. Indeed this was a next level experience that I would love to do it again!

The Land Of Beautiful Arches
Arches National Park is located at Utah where it consists of over 2000 natural stone arches in the whole entire park.
There are a few popular arches where you will see many tourists and do require abit of walking and climbing, but isn't something too difficult. Some of the popular arches are delicate arch(the most famous Arch with some climbing required), landscape arch where is the 2nd most famous Arch(and this arch might collapse anytime), the balance rock where you will see a rock at the top of one of the rock formation.
These 3 popular arches you see are in the pictures of this post, do check out their walking distance required and make sure you do prepare some supplies with you like water and food, as the hot sun can be scorching hot.

Stunning Red Rocks of Arches National Park
Arches National Park is one of the many famous Park located in Moab,Utah. We did a rest stop from our road trip and head into the National park where you are required to pay a fee of $30USD for cars and it has become so popular that your are required to book a time entry ticket 3 mths before your visit or you can get a annual pass instead for $55USD which I do recommend.
There are many activities that you can do here like hiking to the 2000 over Arches in this park, or just drive along the scenic road in the park. Infact there are many hikes here for you to see the many beautiful natural Arches, which I recommend to also plan your trip before coming here.
During summer, the national park can be really hot and quite uncomfortable, do bring ample water and food, and also bring an umbrella and sunblock as there isn't much shade here. Do go early as well, as you will also see many tour buses here during your trip due to the popularity of this place.
Also, what makes this a perfect trip is definitely a convertible car which you can also now book via the trip app, do remember to book early to maximise your savings, and also look out for amazing deals and offer too!

A Hikers Dream @ Lake Blanche - UTAH
Hikers and mountaineers enthusiasts dream place should be Utah! There are uncountable amount of mountains and trails to scale. One of which is the beautiful Lake Blanche located at Utah 84121,USA. To get her park at the Lake Blanche Trialhead at Brighton, UT 84121 and start your 11km hike out and back.
This is not an easy route and generally it takes about 6-7hours for the entire trial as you have to climb certain rocks. But of course the trails starts of easy but gets harder almost half way thru, this is a popular area for hiking and you will meet other fellow Hikers but do look out for the trail markers to guide you to the top.
This hike is worth it and make sure you bring ample water and food to enjoy your well deserve break at the top of the mountain with the scenic Lake. With such beauty, how would this not be a worth it place to visit.

Squaw Peak Photo Shoot
My friends in the BYU advertising program asked me to help with a photo shoot for Carhartt WIP. The theme was camp and the location the chose was seven miles up the trail in the opposite direction of the overlook. It was raining at first but the second half of the day was clear. There were beautiful birch trees and the view of the mountains was incredible. There were also rolling hills that were breathtaking. It was a great opportunity to get some fresh air. It was really muddy but for the most part it was a great and unforgettable adventure. The sunset was amazing and there is nothing better than great weather for a trip. #utah #provocanyon#squawpeak#rollinghills#mountainview#utah
Famous Delicate Arch in Arches National Park
One of the most popular most visited attraction in the arches national park is the delicate arch.
Although there are 2000 stone arches in this park, but this particular arch has become a widely recognized symbol of the state of utah and one of the most famous geologic features in the world.
Many tourists will flock here during the sunset to see the colour changing rocks due to the reflection of the sun.
To reach to the delicate arch is it a 4.8km round trip hike with moderately difficulty simple beacause there will be a steep incline about 800m one way up and after the hike is generally easy and rewarding. This hike is not shaded at all and can get really hot. Do some rock scrambling and get the perfect spot for the sunset. Don't be surprise, the photos attached shows many tourists during sundown.
After sundown the national park gets really really dark really fast, do remember to bring your torchlight to guide you back down the arches and down to the carpark.
This hike is definitely a MUST to go to when you are in Utah Moab.

Overlooking Canyonlands National Park
Taken from Dead horse point overlook which is the state park of Utah in untied states, Moab.
There are several hiking trails here, the hike to dead horse point is a total of 16km if you take all the spurs but 8km if you take none. The overlook are gorgeous and breathtaking but do be very cautious as these overlooks are not fenced up. At times it might be slippery due to rain. There are several overlooks here that you can explore before you reach dead horse point outlook are:
- Big Horn Overlook
- Rim Overlook
- Shafer Canyon Overlook
- Meander Overlook
There are also several arches in the state park, the popular one would be the Mesa Arch in the pictures attached and another would be the delicate arch which will be in another post.
But if you are lazy, you can just drive all the way up to dead horse point overlook, park there and head to the little outlooks around the carparks. The drive though, can take from 30mins to a few hours depending on your interest and stop points. So make sure you plan your trip there.
There will be an entrance fee of $10USD for each vehicle entering the park.

Living Room Trail
The easiest path for hiking is here in living room trail where we can climb up to get this great view, getting close to the sky.
Whole journey exploring utah red cliff is not so easy, there are many trails to follow but it was fun! Especially when we have great teamwork.
If we don't have good teamwork, we may even fight with one another, blaming who's idea is to come here. Hiking is never easy especially for beginner. I started it by going to bukit timah hill in Singapore and also puaka hill at pulau ubin. But hiking in Singapore can't be compared here.
The adventure here is unforgettable where we really need to depend on one another and motivate each other. Not recommended to go with young kids.

Bryce Canyon National Park
Another beautiful day to remember what happened in Utah. We climbed uphill, spending more than a day over there with 2 primary school kids (my friend sons).
All of us are tired, but I'm amazed at how the kids can do it fully energised. Must be because of the snacks and drinks we brought. We also help to carry one another load (for the snacks and drinks). Taking it slowly, and not finishing it at one shot.
Purely an adventure surrounded by beautiful place. It's definitely worth the journey here! Aside from red cliffs and the cold, we had fun "camping" while exploring the place.
Recommended to go for those who love to hike.

Canyonlands
End of the journey here. After high altitude of hiking around 3.6 miles, this is something that we won't forget.
It was hard when we didn't prepare much, or having no exercise beforehand.
Our lung and feets may not be able to take the strenous exercise we had during the hike here. But surely, we got through by helping one another to carry load for the snacks and drink.
Plenty of energy bars, jerky, and something that can boost our energy really helps. In addition is the ion water (for sports) and mineral water. Bringing kids also can be a challenge but somehow they are more energetic than us.

Bryce Canyon
Getting colder and colder as you can see the sky is darker. Wind breeze make it worse. We didn't stay here for so long. Kids are running here and there trying to hide in the middle of cliff/rocks.
I stunned at how trees can grow in this supposed to be dry area. Remind me of the desert. It was still a mesmerizing view, however tired we were. There's also a place for us to sit if we can find one.
Taking picture here for memories would be a great place. I heard there can be snow fall in this place too but we didn't catch that moment. Still, very memorable and slow hiking because my friend brought her kids along.

Beautiful Day @ Utah
It's getting prettier as you climb to higher level. Not just normal view that we can get elsewhere. It's not easy to find toilet in the middle of the journey, so please don't drink too much water. However, you may need moisturizer to keep your skin moist.
Super cold, but moving around helps. You won't get perspired although wearing thick clothes. Journey here is better when you can carry one another burden (that is the water and everything you bring along).
Kids may be playing around, climbing here and there so supervision is required! It's still easy path around here.

Angel's Landing Trail
Passing by the Angel's Landing Trail while continuing to hike, the view is getting nicer. This path is also easy to follow and you don't need to worry about safety as there's normal walkways.
We continue on to hike until reaching the top (if possible). Taking whole day to complete as we don't want to stayover or camping. As you walk along, like in normal situation, you should be careful with your steps.
It can be slippery when there's water. And the higher you get, the colder it can be. Thicker jacket is recommended.

Did a road trip from denver coloradp to Utah.
A stop midway at loveland pass with an altitude of 11990feet. Where most aircraft drops to if there is a leak in the cabin.

MOAB GLAMPING
Want an experience while staying out in vast nature and looking at the night skies filled with stars?
Look no further and consider under canvas Moab. A very clean comfortable stay out in the open. With beautiful comy sheets and queen size bed.
Do take note that the toilets are shared but goshhhh it's so clean! I am someone who never dare to stay in a place without a private toilet but this place changed my perspective for sure!
And waking up with the morning sunrise. its just amazing! And also a very short drive to the rocky national mountain parks.

HorseShoe Bend
Located at the east rim of the grand canyon.
You will be able to catch magnificent view with a short hike of 1.3mile +/-.
But be warned that it could get really really hot out there but the walk is worth it.
It feels like you are in the land of the dinosaurs. How dinosaurs roamed the earth.
The path are well marked and do not require any high level experience to do these tracks. But do remember to bring extra food and water as there are so many things to see and out here.
Give yourself about 2-3 days here to experience the different rock formations and explore the different hikes

Monument Valley is an incredible place. Countless TV shows, movies and commercials have been shot there. From classics like Back to The Future III, Forest Gump, and The Lone Ranger. The entire area includes over 91,000 acres of land. All of these shots were taken at sunset, with incredible light conditions. If you ever pass through Utah, I highly recommend stopping in Monument Valley. You will not be disappointed!

Park City Utah - A Stunning Winter wonderland
Park City is a stunning Ski Resort town In Utah that’s worth a visit even if you don’t ski! The town is beautifully designed and feels small and quaint despite it’s growing size, it really gives you the feeling of being somewhere in the Alps. We made a stop here on the way to Salt Lake city and we were not disappointed, we spent a few hours exploring the town in the snow and we were really impressed.
For the ski fans there is plenty of lodging, equipment hire and training for the slopes - with a ski lift taking you to the top for the bigger slopes. There are also plenty of shops for winter gear, food and souveneirs if you are just visiting for the day.
We grabbed a hot coffee and made our way down main street looking at all the gift and craft shops, I was particularly impressed by the native american artists represented in these stores - stunning jewlerry and hand crafts for loved ones.
The streets are cleared regularly even during the heavy snow, but there is also a free shuttle bus if you’re wanting to avoid the cold!
Definitely worth a pit stop for this stunning town, a world away from the low salt flats of Utah.
