Trip Moments Recommendations
Edinburgh Castle 🏰
Edinburgh Castle is located in the heart of the city and can be viewed from most areas. It is very easy to access and I would recommend to book tickets online before going as the time slots can sell out. They have audio guides available for people that do not speak English making it easy to enjoy the attraction.
The castle has lots of information about its formation, the different battles that have taken place for the castle and how previous Queens and Kings have used the castle over the years.
The castle itself dates back many centuries and there is a lot of information about the different buildings in there including what it was used for. There are shops and toilets inside as well as a whisky specialist shop. One recommendation I would make is to visit the chapel that is the oldest building in the castle #historicallandmarks #localguides #Scotland

My encounter with the John O'Groats Signpost in the UK was a moment filled with both excitement and reflection. Standing at the northeastern tip of Scotland, this iconic signpost marked the end (or beginning) of the famous Land's End to John O'Groats journey. As I posed for a photo next to the signpost, I couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment and wonder at the vastness of the journey that spans the length of the British Isles. The location's windswept cliffs and panoramic views of the North Sea added to the atmosphere, reminding me of the rugged beauty that characterizes this remote corner of the world. 16th Century Castle in Scotland🏴
#timetotravel
Lauriston Castle and its gradens are stunningly beautiful and really well maintained. Really interesting to learn about its architecture and also about the family that used to live in it. Amazing interiors and some of the stuff are left untoched for the past 100 years. Isn't it amazing? It blows my minds how well things are looked after and preserved. There is also a lovely cafe so if you get poeckish then you can just grab some food and a cuppa.
Entrance Fee: 8 pounds but they have prices for families with kids and for senior citizens.

The Most Famous Bakery in Scotland🏴
#timetotravel
This is Greggs Bakery that is all over Scotland but it wasn't established in Scotland though. It was first established in England however I think the Scottish love it better that is why Pret is more famous in England and Greggs is more famous in Scotland. Sausage Rolls are the must haves when eating at Greggs but they also offer donuts, pastries and drinks. It is pretty cheap too!

Trekking in Scotland 🏴
#timetotravel
Who wouldn't like and want a trekking in Scotland? I mean the country is a tourist attraction itself how much more trekking to their beautiful mountain landscapes! We were so ecstatic when were invited to trek with my family's friends knowing that we will be treated to breathtaking scenery. The trail wasn't hard at all, it was a wet walk and the weather didn't permit us to walk all the way through but we luckily got to muirkirk stop point. Amazing experience!

Biggest Shopping Centre in Scotland🏴
#timetotravel
Silverburn is the biggest shopping center yet in Scotland. I have been to this mall multiple times when we were back in Scotland and it is like 40 minutes from Prestwick and 15 minutes from Glasgow city center. The mall has Marks and Spencers, Debenhams, cinema and lots of restaurant options. Parking is also free but it gets busy during the weekends so I suggest going in there just right after the mall opens or just right before lunch.

Underground Creepy Tour🏴
#timetotravel
I am not a massive fan of a place that advertises horror stuff or a place that is haunted, I cn't even watch horror movies but I was in Scotland and it is a must see while being there. So, I gathered all my courage and followed my family down there. The vaults are creepy with colored lights to light the place. Our guide was really good in stimulating our imagination. If you are into a throilling adventure then this is the perfect place for you. Ticket Price: 14 pounds (double check they might have changed their ticket prices already). Enjoy your tour! A Fascinating Walk at Royal Mile🏴
#timetotravel
The Royal Mile is one of the tourist attractions in Edinburgh and is not to be missed. Love the architecture and the entire vibe of the high street. There are a lot going on, there are street performers, restaurants, cafes , souvenir shops and pubs. We really enjoyed walking down the Royal Mile. What more can a tourist want and need when Royal Mile has it all? Just be aware that everything here is a little pricey so prepare to spend more for food. Also, it requires a lot of walking and there is a steep incline so just take your time. You can just stop at a pub for a drink then resume a later. Enjoy your stroll!

#timetotravel
I've been to Scotland a few times already and I only managed to ride on it twice since my inlaws have cars for us to borrow. Scotrail is a must experience in Scotland when you are touring around and if you don't have a car. Such a lovely ride with Scottish highlands and lowlands stunning views. We hopped onto the train in Ayrshire and got off in Glasgow Central Station. I really enjoyed the ride and there weren't a lot of people as well. A Nice Square to Chill in Glasgow🏴
#timetotravel
This George's Square in Glasgow which is in the city center. From Glasgow train station we just walked here using apple maps. You can also avail thr hop on and hop off bus, this will be one the stops. We saw quite a few people chilling in the square, reading or just people watching. If we had more time, we would have loved to sit and munch on something while just chit chatting. There are also a lot of restaurant and cafes around. We took some photos and looked at the important people's statues here. And oh, Brad Pitt's World War Z was filmed here! haha. Enjoy your day!

A Nice Walk Along a Beach🏴
#timetotravel
My in-laws house isl literally 5 minute drive from here and this is where my husband and I would frequent if want to stroll, chill and feel the sea breeze. The ocean isn't for swimming though but the atmosphere of the place is very relaxing. I see a lot of of people walking their dogs and cycling as well. At one point, my hubby and I just bought an ice cream waffle somewhere and we both drove here and ate our waffle while chatting inside the car facing the Isle of Arren across Prestwick beach. Enjoy!

Oldest Building in Glasgow🏴
#timetotravel
Glagow Cathedral is one of the top attractions in Glasgow so fo course we had to sit it for ourselves. The details of the architecture of this cathedral is just incrdible. The glass painting and the splendid design of the ceiling. You can't help but just be in awe and stare at them. I love that they remained the cathedral as it is , it has that gothic vibe, very atmospheric and feels like you have entered an ancient cathedral. The Cathedral's last entry is at 4:30 so make sure be there before the said time. It has an underground chapel as well so explore that too. We didn't have enough time so we just quickly saw everything and left when they closed.
No tickets required.
Address: Castle Street. Enjoy your visit.

They always offer different shows here and it can be rented for events like graduation. If you are into concerts then just check their website about the timeslots of their shows. Have fun.

Outlander's Cranesmuir Village!🏴
#timetotravel
This is a medieval town that was used as a filming location of Outlander as a Cranesmuir Village. Seeing it in person really gives me flashbacks of the scence on the TV series Outlander. Just like what I have mentioned in my earlier post, it is one of my bucket list as I aim to go to all the filming locations of Otlander in Scotland. What a surreal experience as I am a big fan of Outlender. So cool! This little town of Culross is just fun to wander around. Super loved it!

Outlander Film Location!🏴
#timetotravel
As a massive fan of Outlander Scottish Tv series, coning to this place gives me so much joy. It is one of my dream to visit all the filming locations of Outlander and I have ticked off some of them already. The Blackness Castle holds a significant history and even better with its Outlander appearance. The castle itself is not as massive as the other castles in Scotland but the fact that I am a history buff and an Outlander fan is enough for me to enjoy my visit here. The journey to Blackness Castle from Edinburg is less than 2 hours.
