Dear Foodies, Don’t Skip This Place‼️🇲🇾

Bunn Choon has been around since 1893 and this restaurant known to dish out some of the tastiest dim sums in Kuala Lumpur. The restaurant is located at Petaling Street. You’ll easily recognize this place from their colorful building.
Bunn Choon Restaurant has two floors. At The ground floor they served freshly baked pastries while chinese restaurants in the top floor. They offered dim sum, noodles, rice bowls, dessert, drinks, etc.
I ordered some of their dim sums: and my favorite are Pan Fried Radish Cake and Salted Egg Yolk Custard Pao. For the Radish Cake, they served it with Chili Oil (their chili oil is so good!). What i like the most about this restaurant is: the price is so affordable✨.

We came specially for the Soup Dumpling as we rarely see it on the menu for family restaurants. It’s a large dumpling filled with shrimps, tender pork, mushrooms and a small piece of sharks fins. What we love the the long boiled soup which is so comforting to the stomach.
Their dim um menu it’s quite wide and we got to order the typical dishes. For the price we paid, it is indeed good value for money. Recommended for your dim sum urge at wallet friendly prices.

Hong Kong Itinerary
Full day itinerary for your reference!!
Started the morning in Kennedy Town and had a very authentic HK dimsum experience. The Kennedy town signage is a popular photospot for Chinese tourist. Next to it has a nice % Arabica Coffee shop. Highly recommend if you need a cuppa.
Then we headed to Central via MTR and went to the peak. Use your octopus card for quick access! We took the tram up and hike the circular trail. Was a bit humid and cloudy thanks to monsoon season. There is a nice mall with plenty of food options (Mak's Wanton is good) and also bubbletea!
Took the bus down to Admiralty cos is cheaper than tram. We walked around before going to Causeway Bay for some shopping and steamboat dinner. This restaurant has a old school theme and totally worth the visit. The food portion is huge so go with more people! On the way to MTR, i stopped for Yeeshun Milk Pudding. Sweet and traditional.
Final stop was the AIA ferris wheel. We bought the tickets on site. Unfortunately, it was raining while i queue, so the glass had water droplets and I cannot see much outside. Each capsule is 8 people and shared with strangers so hope to get the window seat!
Then i end the night with a very full stomach!!

Instagrammable Cafe/ Bar at Kwai Chai Hong
Looking for somewhere instagrammable and cosy? Head over to Baijiu
One of the tenants at the vibrant picturesque yellow and blue-fronted building on Lorong Panggung, Baijiu, is a cocktail bar that serves up cocktails and plump juicy dim sums
Step inside Baijiu and immersed yourself in cosy ancient Chinese influenced bar that comes with lacquered wood booths and benches.
There is another bar in an airy room that leads out onto an open-air deck overlooking Kwai Chai Hong where you can kill some time people-watching while enjoying one of those super artistic cocktails (if you are feeling a little naughty) or mocktails (if you are a good girl or boy) and sinking your teeth in those meaty tasty pork free dumplings or baos#livelifelah #baijiukl #chinatownkl #deliciousfood #kwaichaihong #dimsum #cocktails #klfoodie #food
Delightful Dim Sum aboard Aqua Luna (HKG)
I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a unique dining experience at the Aqua Luna Boat while indulging in some delectable Hong Kong dim sum. This enchanting journey combined the charm of traditional dim sum with the picturesque beauty of Hong Kong's waters, creating an unforgettable memory.
From the moment we stepped on board the Aqua Luna, we were greeted by a warm and attentive staff who made us feel right at home. The boat's elegant design and traditional Chinese decor set the tone for the culinary adventure that awaited us.
As we sailed along the stunning Victoria Harbour, the panoramic views of Hong Kong's iconic skyline provided a breathtaking backdrop to our dim sum feast. The gentle swaying of the boat added a touch of tranquility to the experience, making it an ideal setting for a relaxed meal.
The meal was presented in a wooden boat plating which was very pretty. Some of the dishes were the classic shrimp hak lau, shrimp and spinach dumpling, wagyu beef puff, dried scallop egg white fried rice and many more. My favourites were the beef puff and the fried rice. The beef puff was tender, buttery and flaky and the fried rice was super flavourful and fragrant. The dim sum set came with a drink of choice: juice, coffee, tea or wine. The staff was super friendly and welcoming the moment a we stepped onto the boat.
After your meal, you can proceed to the upper deck where there are many chairs all around for you to seat and admire the harbour and views of hong kong city. It was a very humid day so the wind from the boat ride eqs very much appreciated. The entire boat ride is is roughly around 45 mins to 1 hour.
Overall, this was a super great experience and I would greatly encourage anyone going to hong kong to book this aqualuna dim sum cruise and give it a try. Although it is a little towards the pricier price point, but for the view and scrumptious dimsum, it was definitely worth it. #dimsum #hongkong #aqualuna

🇲🇾 Seafood Restaurant 🦐🦞 near Legoland
Hua Kee Kelong Seafood is famous for fresh and live seafood dishes in the evening and dimsum in the morning. It is located at Gelang Patah, 10 minutes drive from Legoland. We visited the restaurant for breakfast and dinner during our stay in M+ Boutique Hotel as it is just next to the hotel.
The restaurant is clean and spacious with a large seating capacity. In the morning, the restaurant functions like a coffee shop. You shouldn't miss the wide selection of dimsum dishes. There are also food stalls selling local delicacies like noodles and yong tau foo. In the evening, the restaurant is frequented by locals for its reasonably priced seafood dishes. Do not miss their homemade fishballs!

1 of the best Ipoh Dimsum restaurant!
1 of the better dim sum restaurants in Ipoh. Gets really crowded quick. And stays crowded throughout the entire morning.
Grab your queue number first before anything else. We waited for about 30mins for a table of 6. Would presume that is rather fast already.
There is a good variety of dim sums. Everything was good. Really loved the ice white coffee which was brewed and packaged in bottles. The crispy dim sums were on point especially the beancurd skin prawn roll. The Fei Cui Liu Sha bao is damn good also, the kaya complemented the salted egg lava perfectly.
Last but not least, service staff were quite attentive and quick to assist with our orders.

If you are looking for dim sum for breakfast or brunch, and you are located near Bukit Bintang area, Grand Harbour is the place for you. Located at Fahrenheit shopping mall in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, the Cantonese restaurant serves up traditional dim sum and Cantonese cuisine after lunch that can be found in Malaysia and Hong Kong.
We had breakfast dim sum that morning and ordered a few dishes. Although there was not a wide selection of dim sum, there is still a good variety. From Chee Chong Fun, to Char Siew Pau, Lotus Pau, Siew Mai, Prawn Dumpling and even Xiao Long Pao.
We didn't managed to order any traditional Hong Kong dessert or full meals since we was already full, but you can also find Osmanthus Jelly, herbal jelly, Egg tart, Wanton Char Siew noodle, roasted pork noodle and more at the restaurant.
All it may not be the best dim sum placed I tried, the overall service was still pretty good, and the place was well maintained and kept clean. For a quick way to satisfy your dim sum craving, you can try this spot when you are near Bukit Bintang. (Note: This place is not halal certified)

touch your heart with TaoTaoju #dimsum
Lunch at the time-honored brandname featuring traditional cantonese dimsum at the main branch of TaoTaoju Restaurant 陶陶居 located at Dishifu Rd, Liwan district of old parts of Guangzhou. This century-old restaurant established in 1880s is a must-see and eat for any visitor to Guangzhou! It was originally a teahouse frequented by famous poets, novelists and playwrights in the late Qing dynasty, serving only tea and a small selection of dim sum before being revived in 1933 and transformed it into a fine-dining restaurant. Its now serving some of the best Cantonese dim sum in the city, if not in China. Though the dim sum may be a bit rustic for modern palates, there are some seriously old-school Cantonese dishes that are hard to find in other parts such as in Hong Kong. Definitely worth the money and perfect for morning breakfast or lunch date with family, friends and work colleagues. There's also some display about the history and pictorial explanation about TaoTaoju beginnings and how it grows to be one of the household name in classic..cantonese cuisine. no wonder it's recommended by Michelin Guide too.

Gim Cheng Dimsum restaurant
First of all, I did not give the last star because this place is not 'solo-friendly'. You can solo but you will have to be as early as me, literally be there when they open. They do not have a menu for you to choose from and only a bill chit to record your orders upon collection. Yes, you heard right, "collection". You have to queue to collect your food and can only choose from whatever they offer. I didnt get to try more dimsum cuz I had to finish them all and they're pretty filling. Highly recommend the prawn banana fritters. This is also what killed me, the 3 pieces is so filling I couldn't stomach anything else. So remember to come in groups to try more variety haha.

KING CHEF: FOOD FOR KINGS
Looking for an authentic cantonese cuisine? Must try King Chef Dimsum Kitchen at SM NORTH Edsa, ground floor at the Block, Quezon City. It is a long line but it is worth waiting. I got my order slip while waiting, and "the not available" in the menu is already shaded until I finalized my order for 2. I have waited the 2pm special promo for dimsum for 30% less. Everything is served hot, tasty and delicious. I ordered half of King Style fried chicken, Beef wanton noodles, Vinegared Tofu with Lechon bits, pork and shrimp siomai, my favorite siopao asado, rice and my unlimited service tea. When I ordered, King Chef is serving to all the customer "kings" meaning King Chef serves generously especially the wanton noodles for sharing with much siomai, egg noodles and beef. Really, half chicken feels like whole chicken is served. Thank you, King Chef.. will definitely see you again. Arrividerci! #CelebrateWithTrip #tripblazers#foodie #dimsum

Traditional Dim Sum for Supper!
Where – Swee Choon Tim Sum Restaurant (opposite Berseh Food Centre)

Opening Hours – 9am to 4am with afternoon breaks
This Dim Sum specialist no introduction as there have been serving since 1962, way before I was even born! They have 4 outlets with their flagship shop at Jalan Besar. The other 3 are at Century Square, AMK Hub and Nex. Their flagship unit has expanded over the years and still it is always crowded with a long queue especially during the usual peak period.
But do not worry as they open till 4am at Jalan Besar. Should you missed them during dinner, you can still have them for supper or even super early breakfast.
They serve both Hong Kong and Shanghai dim sum dishes and café quick serve like dumpling noodles, porkchop fried rice, etc.. I especially like the deep fried mee-suah kueh which I’ve never try at another place.
The menu is really extensive, and you can come here often to try out others. Use their virtual queue system to shorten your waiting time at the restaurant.

Wonderful Dim Sum Brunch in Maxim's Pekaka

One Plus One (Yong Peng)
Slightly further away from the mainstream rest stop in Yong Peng is this dim sum restaurant. If you are taking a tour coach to Melaka or Kuala Lumpur, it might actually stop by here. The standard Ming Ang bus terminal is generally for the shuttle buses as this place do not have space for coaches to park. Not the usual kind of dim sum place. You have to queue up at individual fried or steamed counters to collect your food. New batches are made timely. #oneplusone #yongpeng #dimsum
Super Delicious Maxim's Dim Sum Pekaka
This is my favourite place for dim sum in Penang. I like their Har Gao (shrimp dumplings), Siu Mai (pork dumplings), century egg porridge, custard bun, deep fried shrimp rolls and Jian Dui (deep fried glutinous balls with peanut or bean paste filling). They are now expanded and have more seating to accommodate the increasing customers. Service was fast. The ordering process was easy and hassle free, just get the card and choose your dim sum. The waitress will tick the pricing for each item. Interestingly, they use a robot to serve drinks, how cute! Other than dim sum, they also serve main dishes like noodles and rice. Highly recommended. This restaurant is always crowded, might have difficulty to find parking. You may need to park further away and walk here.
