#perthonbudget Perth is a city where world-class beauty doesn't have to break the bank. My budget trip focused on free sights, smart travel, and cheap eats to get the most out of this sunny capital. Free Urban Wonders and Beaches: I started with the essential, Kings Park and Botanic Garden. I spent hours walking the trails, enjoying the stunning free views of the city skyline, the Swan River, and the Darling Range. I packed a picnic—a massive budget saver! The city's coastline is equally free and fantastic. I visited the iconic Cottesloe Beach, perfect for a relaxing swim, and explored other great sandy spots like Trigg Beach and the calmer waters of Coogee Beach down near Fremantle. Historical Fremantle and Elizabeth Quay: A cheap train ride took me to the port city of Fremantle ('Freo'). Here, the historic atmosphere is best enjoyed by walking. The Fremantle Markets (Friday-Sunday) were a hub for cheap street food and great-value produce. I also took a free stroll around the Round House and the exterior of Fremantle Prison. Back in the CBD, I enjoyed a free walk around the modern Elizabeth Quay to watch the ferries and the city lights. The Rottnest Island Splurge (Made Budget-Friendly): The biggest expense was the ferry to Rottnest Island to see the quokkas, but I cut costs by booking a weekday ferry deal and hiring a bike instead of taking the bus tour. Cycling around the island to find secluded bays was the best way to explore and save money. I packed all my own snacks and water for the day to avoid high island prices. Southern Adventure to Margaret River: For a regional escape, a weekend trip to Margaret River (split transport costs with a group) was focused on free nature. I hiked parts of the spectacular Cape to Cape Track, swam at gorgeous beaches, and checked out the free tastings at some cellar doors, limiting my purchases to stay on track. The Margaret River Farmers Market was a great place for affordable local treats. Perth Budget Travel Tips: · Free Transport: Use the free CAT buses within the city centre. · SmartRider: Buy this card for discounts on all other public transport to reach Freo and the beaches. · Cook Your Meals: This is the ultimate saver. Find accommodation with a kitchen. · Pack Water: Tap water is safe, so bring a reusable bottle. · Picnic Power: Kings Park and any of the beautiful beaches are perfect, free lunch spots.

The following is a sharing of surfing experience in Perth: Surfing location selection · Scarborough Beach: A paradise for thrill-seekers, the surfing area here is reliable, the beach is attractive, and it attracts many surfers and beach volleyball enthusiasts. The surrounding facilities are complete, suitable for enjoying leisure time in addition to surfing. · Trigg Beach: Relatively quiet, suitable for families and people who like a quiet atmosphere. The nearby Trigg Jungle Reserve provides a green haven for people to enjoy surfing while exploring marine life. Surfing courses and coaches Perth has many professional surfing schools and experienced coaches. Before learning to surf, the coach will first explain the basic skills and safety precautions of surfing on the beach, such as how to stand on the surfboard, maintain balance, and judge the waves. For example, in some surfing schools in Fremantle, the coach will patiently help students master the correct movements to ensure that they can enjoy the fun of surfing under the premise of safety. Surfing preparation · Equipment: Surfing schools usually provide basic equipment such as surfboards and sunscreen clothing, but if you are an experienced surfer, you can also bring your own surfboard that suits your level and preferences. · Physical condition: Surfing requires a certain amount of physical strength and fitness. Before going surfing, you must ensure adequate sleep and proper diet, avoid surfing on an empty stomach or overfull, and prevent physical exhaustion or physical discomfort during surfing. Surfing process and experience When you lie on the surfboard and paddle to wait for the right wave, you can feel the buoyancy of the sea and the ups and downs of the waves. When the waves gradually approach, under the guidance of the coach, paddle hard, stand up, and slide along the power of the waves. At that moment, you can feel the wonderful feeling of being one with the sea. Even if you keep falling during the process, you will be infected by the encouraging atmosphere around you and inspire the courage to continue to challenge. Precautions · Safety: Always surf in areas with safety signs and lifeguard supervision, and follow relevant regulations and instructions. If you encounter a dangerous situation, don't panic, stay calm, and seek help from a lifeguard in time. · Sun protection: The sun in Perth is strong, so you must take sun protection measures when surfing, such as applying high-factor sunscreen, wearing sunscreen clothing, and wearing a sun hat to prevent sunburn.
