Placa Reial Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Plaça Reial in Barcelona
Plaça Reial is a famous square in Barcelona. It's in the Gothic Quarter, near the popular Ramblas. The square was built in 1848 by architect Francesc Daniel Milona and is car-free with a typical Spanish atmosphere. It has many terraces, a central fountain, a gallery of arches, and stately palm trees which give the square a special Mediterranean feel.
Plaça Reial is known for its lively atmosphere. During the day, it's peaceful. But at night, it becomes exciting. There are many cafes, restaurants, and dance clubs. People enjoy food and music here.
The square also has historical lampposts which were designed by Antoni Gaudí, the famous architect. Plaça Reial is not just a place to have fun. It's also a place to see the work of a great artist.
Plaça Reial is a must-visit place in Barcelona. It offers a mix of history, culture, and fun. Whether you're a local or a tourist, you'll find something to enjoy at Plaça Reial.

Have you ever wonder what do they eat in Barcelona and where should you go to grab a bite!?
I have put together a list of best places to eat based on my latest trip in Barcelona
1. Grab a drink at Hola Barcelona Hotel- rooftop located near the Rambla. Keep in mind that there is a line to get in, so you may want to head there a little bit before dinner time.
2. Drink octopus or regular paella at Paella Bar Boqueria near the local Barcelona market.
3.Tapas in a must! Forget busy tourist places, go where the local are, try to option for a place that also has flamingo going on! Have a fun and enjoy!

Plaça Reial! This is the most beautiful square in Catalonia called As Royal Plaza! Why is it called like that? EASY - JUST LOOK AT THE DECOR!
Right in the middle of that plaza located green fountain with some stoned historical persons on the top of it! Even if the water there is green too, it doesnt change the atmosphere! And unfortunately it is not seen on the photos but there are super high palms!!! Its somehow give the square such tropical vibes. Amazing!
Los Tarantos Flamenco Dance Performance
If you would like to enjoy the stunning Flamenco show at Barcelona, Spain, you would probably enjoy this show. With amazing Spanish costumes, excellent Flamenco guitar performance and energetic dancers, Los Tarantos is one the well known and famous shows and let the audience enjoy a memorable and cheerful night. This show definitely brings you a delightful experience of Flamenco with drinks. The bailaor (male dancer) and the bailaora (female dancer) are full of music passion and dance along with powerful beats and sense of rhythm is very strong. The theatre is located near Plaça de Catalunya, just a few minutes walking distance to the harbour and 10 minutes by train to the famous locations such as Casa Milà and La Sagrada Família. Both have unique architecture and a cathedral which attracts millions of tourists to visit every year 😀
