London London is an obvious choice, but it really deserves the hype. Seeing Big Ben, Tower Bridge, and Westminster in person felt special. My favorite part was actually just walking around, getting lost between busy streets and quieter neighborhoods. The Cotswolds Probably one of the most beautiful parts of my trip. The stone cottages, small villages, and countryside looked like something from a movie. Bibury and Castle Combe were especially beautiful. This is the kind of place where you don’t need to rush. Bath Bath has a completely different atmosphere. I came for the Roman Baths, but I ended up enjoying the city itself even more. The architecture is gorgeous, and it’s a great place to explore on foot. York York made me feel like I had stepped back in time. Walking through The Shambles and seeing York Minster were easily the highlights. It’s historic, charming, and surprisingly fun to explore. Lake District This was the England I didn’t expect to love so much. Lakes, mountains, green hills, and peaceful little villages everywhere. Room 14, located on the first floor with a view of the Minster, was ideal for our short visit—clean, comfortable, and refreshed daily. Breakfast was a treat; while most items were self-serve, the hot dishes were made to order and brought to the table fresh and delicious. The valet parking was a great convenience for a small fee. Without a doubt, this is the best hotel we’ve experienced in York. I hear there’s a refurbishment planned for next year, and we’d certainly return to see how it evolves.

York was my second stop during my trip to the UK. It takes about two hours by train from London to reach York. Stepping into York feels like time has stood still, with its medieval-style architecture creating a magical ancient city vibe. It's perfect for family trips, solo adventures, and especially for Harry Potter fans. The city center is compact, and all attractions are within walking distance.
