Uzes travel guide and discussion

#footballfanculture Watching the World Cup in Nîmes feels like stepping into an arena—literally. The city’s Roman heritage is everywhere, and the football fan culture carries that ancient intensity. My night began in the Vieille Ville, wandering the cobbled streets until I reached the Place aux Herbes. I found a brasserie with a screen set against a backdrop of ochre-colored buildings and wrought-iron balconies. The air was thick with the scent of lavender and pastis. The fans here are proud of their Provençal roots and their Spanish-influenced Course Camarguaiseculture. They watch the game with a fiery temperament. Every penalty is a matter of honor. I sipped a Pastis 51 and watched the drama unfold, both on the screen and among the animated locals arguing over every offside call. The Plan: The Place aux Herbes is the heart of the action. Arrive early to enjoy the market vibes if it’s a weekend. Tram: Gare de Nîmes. The bars are small, so it gets crowded quickly. If you can, try to find a spot near the Maison Carrée for a pre-match photo. The atmosphere is intense, sun-soaked, and full of that southern French flair for the dramatic. It’s football as theater.

From the restaurant, it is around the city of Zes and look at this small town. The city is small, the population is not large, and the tourists feel less. The overall feeling is quiet. The tallest building in the city is this church. Although there will be one in every step in Europe, I don't know why I still have the original curiosity. If I have time, I will go in and see. I am very interested in the aesthetics of architecture. I look forward to pushing this sacred door and what kind of difference will come in. Just to discover the beauty of art, no religion. Most of the churches in Europe are photographable, which is not the same as the temple. Only a few are not allowed, they will make a prompt in front of the door. Just follow the local rules. Small window, coming in, still very dim, so it feels very quiet. I don't know if it will be more convenient for devout believers to communicate with God. Weak light mottled walls reveal that the building has been around for a long time. Its not Sunday, there are no tourists, and the whole church is me alone. It feels so good.

Eating in South France is a very ceremonial thing. After driving for two hours from Nice, we found the Hotel Uzs Relais & Chteaux hidden in the castle. Relais & Chteaux is a global boutique hotel alliance headquartered in France. Relais Xia Duo, is a transliteration, Luo Lai means the station, Xia Duo means the castle. In South France, many high-end castle hotels are the Relais & Chteaux alliance. Because it is a franchise system, each hotel is unique. If you want to join the Relais & Chteaux hotel, there are still many requirements, one of which is to be particularly outstanding in the diet. The Uzs Relais & Chteaux is an old mansion with a history of more than 400 years. The dining environment is particularly elegant, the Michelin 1 star store, which has produced the youngest Michelin chef and is famous in France. When chatting with the hotel manager, tell him that I am a Relais & Chteaux, China's Relais & Chteaux, I have lived. He was very happy and said that he would take us to the next room and say that when you come back to Uzes next time, you can also consider living here. This is a building with hundreds of years of history, but with excellent lighting design, and enjoy the comfort of modern life while enjoying the historical architecture. Because it is a historically protected building, the hotel is just decorated for the room and has not changed. Therefore, the reception area is small and the lobby for rest is small. This is an indoor restaurant. When the weather is bad, it is indoors and there is breakfast. When the weather is good, they are eating outdoors. It can accommodate ten guests at the same time.
