The room was spacious and the facilities were new. Its proximity to the tram station made commuting very convenient. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Although the hotel didn't provide complimentary bottled water, a kettle was available with a generous supply of various teas, coffees, and hot chocolate. The breakfast, however, was a bit underwhelming.
It is located at a strategic location. Easy access to the tram zone. It is quiet, clean, tidy, and breakfast is good. Friendly staff when check-in at the hotel. There is a nice Thai restaurant just opposite the hotel, reasonable price and cooked by Thai. Overall it is a good & full score. I will definitely stay again if I travel to Zurich.
very affordable and convenient hostel in Zurich, located just 20-minute tram or bus ride from Zurich HB. I suggest getting a 24-hour zone bus ticket for easy travel. There’s a supermarket nearby, and the closest train station is about an 8-minute walk away. The rooms are basic, I appreciated having sinks in the room. The only downside is the lack of a fan or AC, which can make the room feel stuffy. Additionally, you need to return the bed sheets at check-out, and renting a towel costs 3 CHF each.
Easy go to center by tram (3 min walk and some 10~15 min ride to Zurich main station and 20 min to lake), Very quiet neigborhood. Many restaurents options in walking distance. Great staff and very good breakfast. Zurich public transportation is super! It worth it to buy a Zurich card if you plan to go museums, lake cruise, cable cars, etc.
The good:
(1) Price is decent, located 1 stop away from Zurich HB. Also has Coop and Migros nearby. Some restaurants around the train station but not many choices.
(2) Bed and pillows are very comfortable
The not so great:
(1) No kettle provided, so don’t expect any free coffee / tea in the room, which you will normally expect. You need to get down to the lobby to get hot water which is super inconvenient
(2) No fridge in the room, so expect to consume all cold drinks etc unless you want lukewarm drinks
(3) No safe in the room
Technically, expect a super basic room with just bed, tv and toilet. Not something I expect from a Mercure brand.
The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. What I appreciated most was the comprehensive range of power outlets; in addition to Swiss standard sockets, there were also European standard ones. Crucially, the Swiss outlets weren't the recessed type, which made it incredibly easy to use various plugs and adapters (as shown in image 9). An electric kettle was also provided in the room.
While the hotel's location is a bit further from the train station, Old Town, and lakeside attractions, public transport connections are extremely convenient. Tram line 3 provides direct access between the hotel and the train station (the tram stop is about a 7-8 minute walk to the left after exiting the hotel). Tram line 2 takes you to the Old Town, Bahnhofstrasse, Lake Zurich, and other sights (this tram stop is within a 3-4 minute walk to the right after exiting the hotel, see images 7 & 8).
The hotel breakfast was quite good, offering a rich and delicious selection.
Upon check-in, a credit card pre-authorization for a security deposit of CHF 150 per room was required. The city tax was CHF 3.5 per person per night.
Very spacious and pretty room. We've got upgraded by the hotel as well. The staff were lovely. The hotel is small, so there isn't any common dining hall. Instead, breakfast will be delivered to your room at the morning. The rooms are on the more expensive side and there are many facilities in the room I didn't get to use tho.
This is the hotel I am most satisfied with during this trip. The advantages are as follows:
1 The kitchen has complete cooking utensils and tableware
2 The bathroom has a washing machine for washing clothes
3 There are two bedrooms. If you want your children to sleep in one room and you and your lover to sleep in another room, this hotel can satisfy you
4 The balcony is nice and feels good
5 Good value for money
You can see the photos for details
The disadvantage is that it is still a bit far from the station. If you don't take the bus (I remember that the bus in Switzerland is quite expensive), it takes about 15-20 minutes to walk from Zurich Train Station
Let me emphasize: this is an Ibis **Budget**, not a standard Ibis. I only realized my booking mistake upon arrival. The room was tiny, but perfectly functional, essentially just offering a place to sleep. Transportation is quite convenient, with a tram stop offering direct access to the city center. Located in the Technopark area, it's very quiet, and there are convenient supermarkets close by. Service was decent.
This is a pretty new hotel near the airport so the room is quite clean and nice looking. There are several fast food restaurants and a couple supermarkets nearby, which is convenient. front desk staff are friendly. The only issue was my room’s hot water seems not working so it is a bit annoying that you hope to take a shower but have to withstand some very lukewarm water even though I turned the nob to the highest temperature setting. The front desk listened when I complained during checkout so hopefully they fix it for the next guest. Oh, this hotel has AC, pretty important to have during summer travel in Europe. I still recommend it believing the shower issue was just a single case.

2288044****I arrived quite late and had only planned to use this as an overnight transit hotel before heading into the city the next day, but it truly exceeded my expectations.
The shuttle service is incredibly convenient. You can easily find the designated stops for all hotel shuttles by following the airport signs, and departure times are clearly displayed. The shuttle typically arrives about 5 minutes before its scheduled departure and leaves promptly. No worries if you miss one, as there's a shuttle every 20 minutes.
The hotel lobby was grand, clean, and impressive, with excellent service. Seeing so many airline crew members, it's clearly a partner hotel for airlines.
The room was a comfortable size and well-equipped with all necessary amenities. Complimentary disposable toiletries and slippers can be requested from the front desk.
It gets dark quite late in Zurich, and even at 9 PM, guests were still enjoying coffee and chatting at the outdoor tables, creating a very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere.
HHLIUThe hotel is located at the highest point in Zurich. It is difficult to drag luggage up the mountain after the train arrives. You can ask the shuttle bus to help transport the luggage. When you ask them for help in the morning, you still have to look at their faces, and they will make a bad look for you :)
Pros: The room is clean and large, and the view is beautiful! Both night view and sunrise are great
Disadvantages: The attitude of some service staff is very bad! I asked the hotel if there was a hot water kettle and was given an uncleaned one. It was a very bad experience!
AauntwangA standard chain hotel with rich breakfast, in line with the usual standards of Holliday Inn, warm service, large enough room, clean and tidy linens, moderately soft and hard beds, no odor in the bathroom, although the room has been renovated for a long time, the facilities are well maintained and the comfort is good.
I stayed in this hotel in 2011. Although it is a bit far from the city, the surrounding facilities are very modern. There is a main road in front of the door, which feels like living in a development zone. When I stayed this time, the road was being repaired in front of the hotel, and the surrounding environment felt rather shabby, like living in a construction site dormitory.
There is bus No. 11, which can go directly to the city center 200m away from the hotel. The journey takes about 30 minutes. You can buy a day ticket for Zone 1 on the machine at the bus station (the round-trip fare is the same as the day ticket), and you can get a bus map at the front desk, which is convenient for travel.
The hotel parking fee is CHF24/day, probably because the hotel occupancy rate is not very high, there are many empty parking spaces, and parking is very convenient.

GGuest UserThe location was excellent and we could check in at the airport terminal within a 15-minute walking distance. Besides, the railway terminal was nearby and there was train towards Zurich city center about every 30 minutes. The hotel was clean, tidy and stylish. Our stay at the hotel was very comfortable. Thank you.
WWilson SamWe had a terrible experience on the second night of the stay:
We went out for city tour in the morning and when we come back to the room in the afternoon, our room is like being robbed, 3 out of 4 suitcases are missing, the bathroom is only half way clean, balcony door left open, most clothes hanging in the wardrobe are missing. I called front office immediately and i have been told that housekeeping had found the door of wardrobe is broken and has a risk of falling, so for safety reason, therefore, they have transferred our suitcases to the new room.
so here are the question:
1. Why there are only half of my belongings are being transferred to the new room? You either transferred all my belongings to the new room, but not just half of it, it is so scary when you back to your room which it is like a crime scene!
2. Is it normal for a luxury hotel to touch guest's personal belonging without permission of the guest?
3. If the hotel find it a safety issue inside the room, why do they still let the guest go into the room? That kind of put the guest in a dangerous environment that may get injured!
4. Have the hotel ever tried to contact the guest, by phone/email of such incident had happened in the room? or worst case, to stop me to get in to the room, when i passed by front desk before get back to the room? none of it had been done
In short, this is not acceptable for any hotel, not talking about Ameron is a luxury brand, the hotel has poor risk management, this is my first time using this brand and I don't think there will be a second chance, terrible experience and even on the checked out date, no one care to ask how was my stay.
GGuest UserThank you for your kindness
We stayed at this hotel for the first day in Switzerland and It was a perfect choice
They greeted us with a gentle smile, with free upgraded room and all day they treated us very kindly, giving us extra towels and keeping our keys
Especially, the next day I was so sleepy that I couldn't go down to have breakfast, so my husband went there by himself, but the manager offered him to take my breakfast to our room , so I could enjoy as well
It was a perfect their generosity and their bread as breakfast was amazing, I love it!
Your hotel makes us love Switzerland more and more
and I highly recommend this hotel to you as a good start of your journey!
GGuest UserCheck-in requires manual input at the machine, which can take some time as all guest details need to be entered. The hotel is conveniently located near several supermarkets, with a burger restaurant right next door. There are a few 15-minute parking spots available in front of the hotel, and it’s also close to Kloten train station.
Sstw2566Good location, easy access by bus from zurich HB. Well equipped with amenities which you can cook simple dishes.
No kettle in the room is a little bit inconvenient. And my room is near the road, so it's noisy for cars passing and sometimes men talking outside.
