I heard that the queue at the Hirokawa gate of Arashiyama in Kyoto lasted until 2 o'clock today. [Cool][Cool][Cool] Come on, tell me if there are many people at Kiyomizu Temple, Kinkaku-ji Temple, Fushimi Inari, Arashiyama, and Gion in Kyoto today? [Laugh without saying anything][Laugh without saying anything][Laugh without saying anything] Anyway, I'm here today...

The restaurant is named after the name Kyoto Good Omen Kaiseki Cuisine, and is Michelin three stars. The average price per person is just over NT$3,000, excluding drinks! In a relaxing and cozy atmosphere, you can feel the scenery of the ancient capital and the changing seasons of the ingredients. Thousands of words are condensed on the exquisite plates.

Afternoon Tea

Laosong (Arashiyama) A famous store in Arashiyama. I came here for afternoon tea. The summer tangerine candy is only available in April, so I didn't get to try it. I'll come back next time~ Sakura mochi Kusa mochi Of course I have to order the seasonal sakura mochi and Kusa mochi. I prefer the sakura mochi. It's glutinous and fragrant but not sweet. It's delicious. Matcha soup set meal Kyoto matcha is a must. The three pieces of yokan are super sweet, I don't like them. A few Taiwanese people at the table behind were chattering, it was quite noisy.

Day 8 [Sun] Tenryuji Temple made me, a human GPS, get lost for a while, but luckily I still saw Caoyuan Pond, the abbot and the cloud dragon picture in the Dharma Hall [Sun] Went to the Michelin Bib Gourmand Shojin Ryori Sieyue and had a unique vegetarian meal. I couldn’t resist and went to the century-old Japanese confectionery Laosongjia to get the seasonal limited edition. My friends all suffer from hair loss, so I took them to the Goka Shrine to worship.

Suiran Hotel is convenient to get to from Sagano Station. Walk to Togetsu Bridge, turn right, and walk along the river to the end. The hotel has only a few dozen rooms, a typical Japanese garden and a riverside cafe. The room is decorated in a Western style, especially large, 45 square meters, clean and comfortable, in line with the taste of a boutique hotel. For rooms without hot springs, you can book a private hot spring, the hot spring water is carbonated spring.

I stayed in Arashiyama for two days due to interviews, and Sagano Yutofu was closed, so I settled for the next best thing. The "pine branches" beside Togetsukyo Bridge are also great. Kyoto has always been famous for its clean and cold underground water, which is an excellent environment for making tofu. Put water and kombu in the soup base, add homemade soft tofu, bring the soup to a boil over fire, and then turn the heat to warm. The tofu will be delicious but not broken. You can eat it plain, sprinkle it with sea salt, drizzle it with soy sauce, or dip it in sesame sauce. You can return to the original flavor and experience what may be the most tender taste in the world. Any old restaurant must have a beautiful courtyard to dine in, which is full of Zen. Of course, these views are already included in the bill.

The reason I like Arashiyama starts with the soba noodles here. It is really hard to forget eating soba noodles in front of the huge glass window on the second floor. Every diner is quietly enjoying the view outside the window. The bowl is filled with delicious soba noodles, and the shrimp tempura is delicious! Although I didn’t sit in front of the window, I was satisfied to be in this space. After eating, walk a few steps along the river to the most beautiful Arabica. This itinerary is impeccable!
