"Miharutei" is a villa with a beautiful view built in 1921 on a cliff at the foot of Senkoji Temple, a famous tourist spot in the hillside town of Onomichi. It was used as a hotel for a period of time after World War II, and then it was idle for nearly 30 years. Later, it was reborn as an accommodation facility with a beautiful view of the Onomichi Waterway. Part of the building using wood from more than 100 years ago has been preserved, and it is a historical building that has become a Japanese heritage. Staying in such a historical place and enjoying the superb scenery of the Seto Inland Sea is a great enjoyment. There are two types of rooms, shared rooms and single rooms, so you can choose according to your travel style.

Typical Japanese style, the barbecue stove is very cleverly designed, the self-service barbecue is fun, each set meal is very rich, and at the end, a bowl of local noodles that the locals are proud of is very satisfying. Highly recommended.

摆渡修行
After breakfast, I sat in the forest for a while, drank all the free coffee, green tea and black tea, and it was afternoon before I knew it. I packed my backpack and went down the mountain, planning to walk by the lake. The shops with great views by Lake Kawaguchi, especially on the north shore, all closed very early, as if some monsters and beasts like Inosuke would come out after the sun went down. I think they don’t even need to install lights in the shops because they work from sunrise to sunset. Anyway, there are not many street lights here, and these shops are only open when you can see them, including this bakery called Lake Bake that I have collected for a long time. Two o'clock in the afternoon is the warmest time of the day. In front of this building with a bit of ancient folk house style, I was attracted by the strange wood carvings in the small courtyard next to it. A gorilla swinging on a swing. A gorilla hanging on a branch with one arm. A gorilla with two masks wrapped around its ears. A dog looking up at a gorilla. A dog using a mask to compare its face with Saito Asuka. A bear slumped on a rock. A bear that looks a bit afraid of heights. A rabbit split in the middle. Something that was used to dry mats. One of them leaned against the other, while the other avoided it with disdain.

Lake Kawaguchi is really a scenery that you can't miss! You can enjoy the panoramic view of Mount Fuji, and the combination of the lake, mountains and water is very spectacular. There is a living area here, and it is very convenient to eat and so on. There are also many convenience stores. Staying in a hotel or B&B is up to you. The kukuna I stayed in was really great. The top floor is a 24-hour hot spring, and the hot spring faces Mount Fuji, where you can watch the sunrise and sunset! The hotel room is Japanese-style, and you can also see Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi from the balcony. Staying for one night includes breakfast and dinner, which are all delicious! I had a great time! The service is also first-class! ! It's worth staying here!

Tempura is a great Japanese cuisine, and its shop looks very grand from the outside, making people mistakenly believe that the prices inside are very expensive. In fact, its dishes are very cheap, but the taste is really great.

This shop is very historic and has been in business for generations. It is a ramen shop. Udon noodles are the main dish. Vegetable noodles are recommended. The taste is really good. Other dishes like tonkotsu noodles and miso noodles are also good.

This restaurant has a long history. One of its branches is right across from Kawaguchiko Station. It is very popular. I went there when it just opened at 11am today. When I came out at 12pm after eating, I was surprised to see a long queue at the door. Generally, everyone orders Hoto from Yamanashi Prefecture, which is a bit like thicker udon noodles. The pot is very large. If you have a small appetite, two people can order one portion and some other dishes. There are vegetables such as cabbage, mushrooms, carrots, and pumpkin in the pot, but no meat. It is very warm to eat in winter~ The store sells various specialties, and there are also raw noodles that you can take home and cook yourself.
