泰迪小熊
Came here on March 4, 2019. The restaurant is located in the "villa area" on the northern outskirts of Meknes. It looks like a single-family villa. The surrounding environment is very quiet and there are only a few vehicles coming and going. This restaurant is a Moroccan-style western restaurant bar. In addition to Moroccan cuisine, the menu also offers Western dishes such as salads, steaks, pasta and desserts. We mainly eat Moroccan dishes, but the plates served are arranged in the style of Western food, and cooking utensils such as Tajine pots are not shown. I tried their Tajine de veau au pruneaux and Pastilla sucrée au poulet, both of which are very local dishes and worth a try. The interior decoration of the restaurant is a typical Moroccan local style, and many very distinctive handicrafts are used for decoration, which feels a bit like a club. There is a mountain view outside the second-floor window, and the view is quite good.

About one of the restaurants in MEKNES - MA BOHEME I spent three days in MEKNES and took the opportunity to eat at all the top three restaurants on TRIPADVISER. I really feel that the ranking here is reasonable, and when it comes to cost-effectiveness, it is far more outstanding than the nearby FES. MEKNES is a comfortable and gentle city that does not play routines, so these three restaurants have some similarities. They are not large in size, simply decorated, and have few dishes, but they all taste good. The first one is an inn that also runs a restaurant, RIAD MA BOHEME & RESTAURANT. After traveling around the world, the British male host DAVID married the Moroccan hostess AMEL, settled in the favorite MEKNES and opened an inn. The pizza made by the male host and the tagine made by the hostess are both very delicious. Later, the restaurant became much more famous than the inn. Hidden in a deep alley, I walked to the vicinity, but Google Maps was clueless. A guy on the roadside volunteered to lead the way, and it took some twists and turns to find it. As a result, when I asked, they only served dinner that day, so I quickly booked this famous FOUR SEASONS PIZZA and LAMB TAJINE, and agreed to come back in the evening. Like many RIADs in Morocco, the place is not big, with only three or four tables in the atrium. The furnishings are much simpler than those old houses with years, but they are also full of things. The side dishes are different from those of other restaurants. In addition to the most common black olives in Morocco, this restaurant provides two different cucumbers, fresh cucumber slices with salad dressing and pickles that are not common here. It seems that having an international host is different. Although there are not many of us, the hostess still kindly took out two pizza bases of different sizes and asked which size we wanted. The small one is already 12 inches, so the big one is 14 inches? OF COURSE, THE SMALL ONE! Four Seasons Pizza has always been our favorite pizza besides seafood pizza, because as the name suggests, you can taste four flavors in one pizza, tomato juice, mozzarella cheese, artichokes, mushrooms, Italian ham, black olives, etc., plus the fresh beef here, the fillings are so rich that they seem to overflow, and the use of cheese is even more profound. You know, Italians never skimp on cheese on pizza, half bread, half cheese, but it is not an empty statement. The lamb tagine was stewed by AMEL for three hours before it was served. Two large pieces of tender lamb topped with various vegetables, which made people very hungry. It is strange that lamb is not very popular in China, but here, it is not rejected at all, and even accepted and liked. It can be seen that in addition to the ingredients themselves, the tagine is a magical thing. It is best to make a reservation when dining here, otherwise you will only be able to eat what the host cooks, or you may not be able to eat anything at all. This is completely understandable. To make something carefully, you need time, especially when it comes to Tajine, a cooking method that slowly stews food. If you rush in rashly and are impatient, you will not be able to eat the hot tofu.
