The first round of 2020 New Year travel ~ Penang, Malaysia. I drove to West Malaysia. I originally booked an Airbnb for only three days in Penang. Later, I decided to stay at the beach in Penang for two more days. I went to several hotels to check it out. Since I am a Hilton member, the first one I came to see was Hilton Garden Inn. The location is okay, right by the beach, and the room facilities are okay, but the beach is really not good. In the end, I chose Shangri-La, which is only about 100 more expensive.

Situated right on the beach at Baku Ferringi, this is the perfect place to catch some shade, grab a beer or a soft drink and enjoy some delicious food. They have some great (and cheap) local options as well as some more expensive western food for the pickier eaters. Highly recommend trying out the Fried Keuh Teow, a very mildly spicy fried seafood noodle dish. Delicious! #yearofrabbit #newyearadventure #foodie #beachlife
