I didn't expect that Yangzhou people are not only good at Huaiyang cuisine, but also Hunan cuisine is very good. It is not particularly spicy, but spicy enough. It complements Huaiyang cuisine. It can be said that the two roles are unexpectedly combined together.

The restaurant in Hongqiaofang is decorated in a grand style. The semi-open private rooms are antique and there are fish swimming under your feet. The taste is standard Huaiyang cuisine, salty and refreshing, and the workmanship is fine.
A restaurant that you must try when you arrive in Yangzhou. It is right by the Slender West Lake. The window seats face the Slender West Lake directly. The layout of the restaurant is also good. The most important thing is that the ingredients are fresh and delicious. The green tea served in the restaurant is of average quality, but it has a floral fragrance and tastes good. If you have special requirements, you can also order another pot. Every table must order the grilled silver cod with scallions. The cod is first marinated and then grilled with scallions. It is fat but not greasy, with a scallion fragrance. In order to make the dish look good, a layer of grilled scallions was also laid last time. Wensi tofu is really as thin as silk and continuous. It is also served with ham, sea cucumber, and scallion shreds. It is delicate, smooth, and delicious. Lion's head, pure pork, fat and lean, just the right proportion, stewed with pure water, without any additives, pure pork soup is fresh, and it is served with a refreshing small green vegetable, which is fusion without rushing. Yangzhou boiled dried silk, the tofu taste is heavier than Wensi tofu, with chicken soup and shrimp, mushrooms, etc., it is still very delicious. Yangzhou fried rice is the best I've ever had here. I'll never forget the taste. Fragrant rice is paired with egg shreds, sea cucumbers, river shrimps, green beans, scallops and a kind of pickled vegetable. They are cut into similar sizes and directly blended with rice grains. They are fried until they have a wok aroma. They are moderately salty and super fragrant. You can definitely eat more than usual rice. Wu Ding Bao is also carefully selected. It is a special snack here. But if you eat too much rice, you can't eat it. It feels ordinary, but it is definitely better than the steamed buns on the market. Shaobing, a small one, paired with a moderately sweet bean paste filling, and finally eat a small piece, satisfying [naughty]
Staying at Yangzhou Guest House, it is very convenient to come here for a meal. The environment is clean and bright, and the tableware is exquisite and pleasing to the eye. Yangzhou lion head is fresh and tender, and it is very greasy when paired with a green vegetable; the ingredients of the large boiled dried shredded vegetables are exquisite, the soup is fresh, and the dried shredded vegetables are glutinous; the knife skills of the Chinese tofu are impeccable, the soup is light and delicious, and you can't taste the tofu when you put it in your mouth, but it has the taste of tofu; Yangzhou fried rice is cooked authentically, with shrimp, shredded scallops, minced ham, sea cucumber and other ingredients, and a small dish of Yangzhou pickles, which has a unique flavor; the five-spice smoked fish is hot, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a good taste, but the sauce is a bit less. The complaint is the green vegetables. I tried celery, amaranth, amaranth, and chrysanthemum in a few days, but they are all relatively old, which makes me, who wants a little green for every meal, unsatisfactory. In fact, there is no need to serve such a large pot, just pick some tender ones.
This restaurant is located in the Hongqiaofang Hotel in Hongqiaofang. I went there at night and there were not many people. The waiters were very good and paid attention to the needs of the guests. Tea was served as soon as I sat down. Many dishes on the menu are sold by the hour, so you can try more flavors. The portions are OK. From the price point of view, the environment is quite moderate. The dishes taste good.
It has been a month since my last visit to Yangzhou. I would like to add a comment on this restaurant I like. The first thing I did when I arrived in Yangzhou was to go straight to Restaurant 78 for lunch. After getting a number and scanning the QR code to follow the time, you can visit the garden without worry. The Slender West Lake is also there. If you don't want to walk around, you can sit in the hotel lobby or the restaurant meeting room to rest and watch movies. The waiting experience here is really good. I waited for 35 minutes the first time. I still chose this restaurant for dinner the next day, because I passed many "Spring" and "Society" by car and on foot in Yangzhou for two days. After comparing, I still like Restaurant 78. I arrived at 4:30 and was the second in line. I just arrived at 5 o'clock. Maybe there were not many people waiting for a seat. The waiter said generously that everyone should go in. The restaurant environment is great, young and fashionable, and there are elegant private rooms. The tableware and teapots are also elegant. I had a table for four people for lunch alone, which was very enjoyable. The window view for dinner was for two people, which was very comfortable. What did you eat? Grilled opium fish with green onions: The fish meat was very tender and the green onions were fragrant and tasty. I even ate a few grilled green onions. I love it! Yangzhou fried rice: The rice is distinct and crystal clear, with chopped scallops and sea cucumbers, and the egg shreds are too much work. The small portion I ordered is actually enough for three people, but I finished it all by myself! It is said that this is the number one fried rice in Yangzhou, and I agree with it. The second time I ordered Yangzhou old goose: moderate saltiness, firm meat Yangzhou lion head: moderate fat and lean, which is one of the reasons why I didn’t choose other restaurants to eat this dish (many restaurants are too greasy). Chicken fire boiled dried silk: golden color, soft and glutinous dried silk, light taste, I ate it as a staple food. A pot of jasmine tea, two or three delicacies, beautiful scenery outside the window, and a pleasing and thoughtful waiter made me like this restaurant more. There are also Wensi tofu and Huaiyang soft pockets... I can only eat them next time.
