Kaum in Menteng, Jakarta was a true taste of Indonesia’s diversity. I loved the pepès aneka jamur—smoky mushrooms wrapped in banana leaf—and the Wagyu sate maranggi, tender and full of spice. The heritage setting felt warm and authentic, and the service made the meal flow effortlessly. Definitely a must-visit for anyone wanting real Indonesian flavours.

It's a popular restaurant in Jakarta, so gets busy during certain hours. Yet, in the past 3 visits never had to wait for a table. Pricey compared to average food cost in Jakarta altho their food quality is pretty good. And the tastes have been adjusted to suit a broader audience.
