Tried the Tiongsim noodles and BBQ pork. The portion was huge, honestly. We couldn&#39;t finish it all. Good for sharing if you&#39;re hungry. Beer&#39;s cheap too, which helps.

Service was super fast, and the price felt right for what you get. Food tasted great, especially the crispy chicken.

Love the old-school vibe here. The place feels like a step back in time.

People say going to Medan = eat non stop. And people say the food is similar to Penang. I would have to agree that every food trip means the stomach is hardly empty. However, I would disagree that the food tastes similar to Penang's although the food are mostly chinese here. Ordered in Mie Tiongsim, Ondo Batak grill and Chasio Asan. All are yummy but my favourite will be the Mie Tiongsim and Chasio Asan. The charsiew is sweet and sticky, lightly charred which is addictive. Some say legendary. Mie Tiongsim has springy noodles that taste very much like youmian but filled with umami. Ondo grill is batak food but fragrant.  #travelanywhere
