Il Vecchio Cotonificio

Location a bit hidden but very cosy set up with bricks walled, spacious room. The entrée was very good and so the hand made dessert. In between nothing much as the short menu had two offers extremely salty (out of the four we chose). I ate mine out of sheer hunger but my wife could not. Once notified the waiter was too defensive and in denial:”saltiness is very subjective, I always taste every plate personally before they are plated and yours was just fine”, that was arrogant and dismissive. Likely the more senior guy came back with apologies and took off 7 euro from the bill (but the plate was priced 17!). The intention was appreciated to at least make the gesture, but that was lacking substance!

I have been to this restaurant several times and it has never disappointed my expectations. The place is very welcoming, the staff is very kind and helpful and the menu changes often and the dishes are prepared with care. I recommend it for a pleasant meal with friends, relatives or colleagues because it lends itself very well to large groups.

Couple lunch during the weekend. Very welcoming and well-kept restaurant. The brick walls, exposed beams and wooden tables make it a very welcoming place, where you enjoy eating. From the kitchen we received very good dishes. Excellent service and dedication of the two owners. We recommend it!

Very neat and pleasant location, kind and prepared staff, interesting and well executed menu! We will be back, highly recommended!

Restaurant a few minutes drive from the Monza palace, tables on a very nice patio. Very tender meat with a side of vegetables and potatoes, good desserts. Medium-high price. I recommend it.
