Loved the fruit drinks here — so refreshing after the beach. Right on the sand, can’t beat the view. Staff were friendly too, not hovering. 😊

The red curry with rice was a solid portion and really flavorful. Also tried the luffa with egg, pretty tasty. Good spot for a cheap meal.

The fish curry here comes with a whole fish and it's so flavourful. Owner said she's been cooking for 45 years, you can totally tell. Right on the beach too. 🐟

Been coming here for a while now. The rice and curry stays consistent, always fresh and full of flavor. Family running it is friendly too. One of the few spots that hasn't let me down.

Breakfast spread was solid — big portions, fresh fruit, eggs, pancakes, plus some local Sri Lankan dishes. They even switched things up a bit each morning. Nice touch.

Solid lunch with the kid. Staff swapped out an overcooked fish plate without any fuss. Second one came out proper—flaky, fresh, good seasoning. That was it. We ate, paid, left. Happy enough.

Came here twice on our trip—kottu and devilled shrimp were solid, but the pineapple juice really stood out. Owners clearly care about what they serve. Wish I had room to try more.

Came for the seafood mixed rice and battered prawns — both solid, prawns were nicely crisp. The beach right next to it is the real draw, red sand and all. Bill for five came to about 16k, fair enough. Would've liked a better wine list though, only had the basics. Maybe stick to a cold beer here.

We stayed a week and honestly it was the most relaxed I felt the whole trip. The host remembered how I liked my tea by day two, which I thought was a nice touch. Food was really good too, lots of fresh rice and curry. Only thing is the pillows were a bit firm for me, but that's minor. Would come back again.

Been coming here for years, still hits the same. Owner grilled our tuna right, simple but fresh. Kids had fried chicken, they were happy. We walked down to the beach while waiting, caught the sunset. That view never gets old. Only thing is it gets busy, but that's expected. Solid spot if you know what you're in for.

Stopped by for dinner after a long day. Grilled prawns with garlic were spot on, and that fish curry might be the best I had in Sri Lanka. Service was friendly but yeah, food took a while. Worth it though if you're not in a rush.

We almost walked past this place, glad we didn’t. The vegetable curry and rice was easily the best we had in Tangalle—proper spicy, not the watered-down tourist version. Price felt fair too. The family running it were friendly without hovering. Only thing is it’s easy to miss, so keep an eye out.

The location is hard to beat, right on the sand with the waves right there. I had the lobster and it was fresh, really tasty. The setting is pretty rustic, which is fine, but the seating could be a bit more comfortable for sitting back and relaxing. Still, a decent spot if you want a simple meal with a great view.

Stopped by for dinner and tried their special curry set. The staff took time to walk me through each dish, which I appreciated. Had a glass of their house red with it—decent pairing, though the wine list is pretty short. Food was solid, but the place got a bit loud later in the evening. Still, a nice spot if you're not in a hurry.

The lagoon view really is something else at sunset. I grabbed a fresh lime juice and just sat there watching the light change. Staff were friendly, no complaints there. The new pool area looks great too, though I didn't get a chance to use it. Good spot if you're hanging out with friends and want somewhere chill to talk.

We picked our fish earlier in the day, spent hours on the sunbeds, then came back for dinner. It was juicy and full of flavour. The family running the place made us feel comfortable, no rush at all. Just a nice, easy evening.

Stumbled in here by chance and honestly didn’t expect much from the outside. The seafood rotti was solid, grilled fish too. They even made something off-menu when I asked, which was nice. Place is small though, so don’t come with a big group. Fine for a quick meal.

The vegetable rice and curry was a solid pick — four curries, papadam, and that coconut sambal. Portion was generous for the price. Owner chatted with us a bit, nice touch.

Tucked off the main road, this little family spot was a solid find. The veg kottu was super fresh and the coconut roti with dahl hit the spot. Portions were big too. Would come back with friends for sure. 😋

Stopped by for a quick lunch and honestly the curries were the highlight. Well balanced, not too heavy on spice. The masala chai was a bit milky for my taste though. Portions are decent for the price. Nothing fancy inside but it does the job.

Came here on a whim and honestly the staff were the highlight. Super warm, made us feel like regulars even though it was our first time. Food was solid too, nothing crazy but well made. Wouldn't mind going back if I'm in the area again.

Grilled king prawns were spot on, juicy and charred just right. Beachfront spot with a chill vibe, though service was a bit slow at times.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Tangalle Sri Lanka The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal! The servers are also great and always efficient, happy, and polite. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in.

Lovely spot right on the beach. Owner and his family were super friendly, made us feel welcome. Food was tasty and portions were generous. Had the beach almost to ourselves most days. Great for chilling out.

Solid fish and beer combo. Mango lassi was a good call on the side. Quick service, friendly enough. Decent deal for what you get.
