Minasama Shokudo

There is a snack bar next to JR Sannomiya Station that specializes in oden. I saw many local elderly people going there to eat, so I went in to try it. The tofu there was delicious, and it was served with yellow mustard on the side.

I don't know how I managed to find this magical little shop hidden under the elevated railway of JR Sannomiya Station in Kobe! The sign looks very old, and it's even more magical after entering. It's a retro Showa style. The things in the shop are very old, but everything is in order. The boss is a grandfather. The back kitchen is relatively hidden. There are uncles sitting around the table after work, drinking and eating oden and side dishes here. The chat is very loud, but I don't mind. The specialty of the store should be oden. Looking at the ingredients boiling in the pot, I feel very appetizing. The soy sauce color of their soup base is heavier, which is different from the white clear soup of the two restaurants in Tokyo. I asked for four pieces, and each piece was very solid. The soup has a heavier Kansai flavor, sweet and salty, which suits my appetite. The bamboo rolls, tofu cubes, fish cakes, and konjac are all very tasty. The boss finally gave me a portion of cooked beef brisket and potatoes, which are also delicious. The final bill was only 505 yen and the decimals were wiped off. I was so moved that I cried!

The biggest reason why I like to eat here is that the food here tastes like home. It is fresh, the price is very affordable, the price-performance ratio is very high, and everything in the store feels very homely. This is authentic Japanese cuisine.

The environment is very good, quiet and elegant. The dishes are very authentic. The salmon, scallops, sea urchin sashimi, and grilled eel are all very fresh. The signature sushi is really delicious, with a moderate salty and sweet taste. You won't feel sick of eating several in a row. The freshly squeezed orange juice in the store is delicious.

This is a well-known old restaurant in Sannomiya. It was renovated some time ago, and the environment is very elegant. The waiter is very enthusiastic and will introduce the dishes when ordering. I like the sashimi here. The overall feeling is not bad. The unique sauce of the store tastes very good.

I went here for lunch with a colleague after get off work. Maybe it was because it was a weekday, but the place wasn't very busy. The food was served quickly and was delicious. It's a classic Japanese restaurant. I highly recommend the curry rice and sushi.
