I always ate conveyor belt sushi when I traveled in Japan before. This time, my friend and I decided to try freshly made nigiri sushi. We found a sushi restaurant called Isami on Ctrip. It had a good rating, so we went in to give it a try. The store is very small, with a sliding door leading to a bar with five seats. Behind the bar is the chef's workbench, and on the other side there are two private rooms and a very compact restroom. The chef here has also received many tourists from all over the world, so when we ordered, he took out an English menu. There are pictures of sushi on the menu, and the prices are also very clear, so it is not difficult to order. After we ordered, the chef poured tea for each of us, prepared the tableware, and placed an empty plate between us. He pinched the sushi on the counter according to our orders, and then placed them one by one on the plate, asking us to taste them. This was the first time we had eaten such fresh hand-made sushi, and it tasted fresher than the conveyor belt sushi. While waiting, we had some interesting interactions with the chef and slowly chatted with friends. I felt that this was a very comfortable way to eat sushi.
