Youxuanting's ingredients are fresh and the meat is super good. I highly recommend the marinated beef belly in a fruit jar. It's super delicious even without the sauce after grilling. We arrived at around 1pm, and there were still two groups of people in front of us. We ordered the same oolong tea, the egg soup that Xiaoda kept drinking, a salt-grilled chicken platter, and a salt/scallion-grilled beef tongue platter. The taste was somewhat compromised by the unstable grilling skills at the beginning, but overall it was a standard Japanese barbecue. However, the scallion-grilled beef tongue must be heaven for those who love scallions. As a beef tongue lover, you can eat a lot! The egg soup is simple but surprisingly delicious. No wonder Xiaoda kept drinking it. It was just egg drop soup with some vegetables, and I felt like I could cook it myself.

This is a high-end barbecue restaurant. The barbecue inside feels like a piece of butter placed on the grill. It is very fat-rich. The ox tongue is much inferior to the beef. The beef is the most delicious.

Yugen-tei is another brand of the famous Japanese BBQ chain Syūen, offering higher quality than Syūen and is known as the highest-grade BBQ restaurant. Just looking at the appearance, you would definitely not think that this is a high-end barbecue restaurant. The decoration style at the entrance is also slightly rustic. After taking a seat, you will find that each room here is a small compartment, and you can enjoy super personalized service. The waiter will help you hang up your coat and cover it with a cloth to prevent it from getting stained by the barbecue smell. He will also carefully put on a bib for you to prevent the barbecue from splashing on your clothes. The service is really thoughtful. Ordered salt-grilled beef tongue, red tenderloin, beef diaphragm, and pot-pickled pork belly. [Salt-grilled beef tongue] The pattern of the beef tongue is even, and it can be eaten in less than 1 minute of grilling. It is tender and juicy, and the simple pepper and salt taste is a kind of enjoyment. [Red Tenderloin] I personally feel that tenderloin is a more difficult part to prepare because the meat is relatively firm and not easy to absorb flavor, and it will appear old after a while. Their meat doesn’t need to be roasted for a long time, and can even be eaten when it’s 80% or 90% done. The tenderloin is not seasoned much and is a bit bland. [Beef Diaphragm Meat] The meat is soft and fragrant, it is so delicious to eat it! [Pot marinated pork belly] is their classic, the surface of the long strips of meat is cut open and seasoned, the portion is large and spread out, it is almost the same as the diameter of the grill, a small pot contains a lot of content, apples, garlic slices, green peppers, the pork belly is also marinated well, the flavor is very evenly penetrated into the meat, the saltiness is just right, it tastes lean and fat, super delicious! I would like to praise their service again. I had already ordered a drink when I ordered the meal, but suddenly wanted to change to another soft drink. I didn't expect them to bring it to me quickly. I asked if I could change it, and they didn't show any displeasure at all. They quickly and considerately changed it for me. It turns out that what I ate was not only the meat, but also the service! The waiters all wear kimonos, which is very pleasing to the eye.

Xuxuyuan Youxuanting is a high-end store of Xuxuyuan. The price is also higher than that of Xuxuyuan. Youxuanting's service is also excellent. The decoration inside the store is very exquisite, and the waiters serve the guests in kimonos. The quality of the food is also impeccable.

Yugentei Shinjuku store is a must-visit restaurant every time I travel to Japan. I have to make reservations in advance every time I go there, otherwise it will be difficult to get a seat. You can choose ABC set meals freely. My favorite Wagyu beef is so delicious and juicy that it melts in your mouth. There is also grilled beef tongue... My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

There was an episode when I ate at this restaurant. I saw several people had white rice on their tables, and I wondered why they had to eat rice with yakiniku. However, Japanese rice is really delicious. I can finish a whole plate of rice with a raw egg and some soy sauce. The sizzling sound of the meat was very appetizing.
