Neon Pigeon

The restaurant's interior is aesthetically pleasing, and the cocktails are creatively crafted. The KFC bao buns are a standout dish, and the overall dining experience is enjoyable and lively.

Neon Pigeon exceeded my expectations with its unique menu and flavorful dishes. The pork chops and corn ribs were highlights, and the cocktails were delightful. A fantastic dining experience!

Neon Pigeon offers a vibrant atmosphere with excellent service and delicious food. The Tokyo hummus and pork ribs are must-tries, making it a perfect spot for a fun night out with friends!

Positive reviews

Finally made it to Neon Pigeon and can see why it’s a popular spot for dinner and drinks. The space channels Tokyo izakaya energy with neon lights and a playful, slightly offbeat vibe that feels a little unexpected and quirky. They are also home to a World’s 50 Best Discovery bar, with creative use of Japanese ingredients, spirits and flavours, alongside half-proof and zero-proof options.
.
We tried two of their kushiyaki charcoal skewers. The A5 wagyu ribeye is beautifully marbled and lightly seasoned to let the beef shine. The corn is also very good, simple but addictive, coated in miso butter and dusted with nori powder. From their selection of sashimi and sushi rolls, we had the shrimp tempura roll, which was decent. They also offer other options such as spicy tuna, salmon, as well as wagyu and uni.
.
The most unique dish would be the Carbonara Cup Noodle, which has been making its rounds on social media. It is served in its own Neon Pigeon cup, which is great for photos, but more importantly, it delivers on flavour. Chewy udon is tossed in a creamy sauce with bits of bacon and a punch of black pepper garlic crunch. It is not overly cheesy and feels very comforting.
.
We also had the caramelised Brussels sprouts, finished with kombu vinegar and furikake, and the baked king crab leg, which feels a little luxe, drenched in a creamy spicy sauce and topped with tobiko.
.
Ending on a sweet note, the chocolate trifle layers chocolate cake, almond brittle, dulce de leche, and whipped cream for a rich and satisfying finish.
