The Gallery Café

The Gallery Café is built on a narrow and long site, with a charming pool corridor in the middle. It is a model of the combination of tradition and modernity, with two innovations in materials and craftsmanship: first, the use of polished coconut palm poles and granite column bases and capitals, which makes the proportions look slender and slender; second, the use of double-tile roofs covered with Portuguese cylindrical tiles on corrugated cement boards, which is conducive to waterproofing and heat insulation.

The food and cocktails are always on point. You have to be a bit lucky with the service though. I am the type of person who notices a lot of things. The smallest details don't escape my eyes. I noticed on my multiple visits that the color of the skin plays a big role here. I'm not saying the staff are rude to "brownies" in appearance (funny thing is they are brown themselves). But white people really have the red carpet pulled out by the waiters and they are more attentive to them. Also, the waiters suddenly switch to a foreign accent when dealing with them. It's hilarious. One minute they are speaking to local customers in Singaporean and the next second they are speaking to a white couple in an Australian/British accent :-D Having said that, try the frozen strawberry margaritas. They are the best I have had in the entire world. Their tamarind chili martini is also amazing. Food wise, I have never been disappointed with a dish I've had. Don't miss the desserts either. Well worth a visit. Such a unique atmosphere and unbeatable delicious food

This is a popular cafe in Colombo. The design here was designed by a famous designer, who used the plants here and the old house to design a feeling of paradise. It is like a cultural art museum, allowing you to experience the ancient history of Colombo. Let's taste the black tea here, it is really delicious and romantic.

However, the handmade rattan items in the store are really not cheap. I thought the locals also had cheap labor. The store has two floors. The first floor only has homewares and small decorations; the second floor also has a small dessert & coffee shop

Are they all lying with open eyes or are they all shills? What is that B that everyone recommends? It's so salty. What's the special feature of the building? Any other similar coffee shop in China is a hundred times better than this one. Most importantly, some people say it's not expensive. Just look at this menu. How many times have you eaten in China?

This is a popular cafe in Colombo. I especially like the trees in the yard. They grow wildly and block out the sun, which is a bit Zen. This cafe was originally the studio of the famous architect Geoffrey Bawa, and was later converted into the current cafe. It is a beautiful cafe with very beautiful prices. I ordered the famous Ceylon tea juice and salad, which tasted pretty good.
