Ariya Rest House

Went to restaurant for dinner and the entire experience was great.Staff were friendly and courteous,and went out of their way to make guests feel at ease.The food was well presented and delicious,especially the sea bass in honey and miso.

When we were looking up guides, we had originally considered this restaurant as a backup option for restaurants in Polonnaruwa, but we happened to be close so we came here, and this family restaurant turned out to be surprisingly good!! They welcomed us very kindly, helped us with our luggage, booked a tuk-tuk for us to go to the ancient city, and even let us take a shower here before catching the night train. I was really moved to tears!!! In addition to the great owner, the curry buffet was also very good. After eating here, I knew why so many people stayed here-highly recommended!! recommended!!

It was a bit late when we arrived, but the waiter still received us immediately, and the service was always great!! I wasn't very hungry myself, but I still drank a pot of tea and ate an omelette, which was really delicious!! We came here for a buffet at noon the next day. There were many kinds of delicious traditional buffet food. I ate two full plates, and then had a curd dessert. This was really a super satisfying meal after cycling around the ancient city. If there is a chance, I will come again next time!!!

This restaurant has a nice environment. The owner is super nice and welcoming!! We two English idiots ordered dishes, she was very attentive to understand what we wanted to eat, and also specifically told us not to order too much, so as not to finish it!! When the dishes came, I saw that the portions were really big. As for the dishes - I recommend the fried fish!! Delicious and not expensive~

This restaurant may not be easy to find, but I highly recommend it. It's a family-style restaurant with good food. The sweet and sour fish nuggets are awesome. We ordered two, but the portion was quite big. It's clean, the boss is very nice and enthusiastic, and his daughter speaks English very well and is pretty~
