The full name of the country, the United Arab Emirates, is the United Arab Emirates. It consists of seven emirates (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajmah, Fujairah, Umm al-Qaiwain and Ras al-Khaimah). The state system is very special. It is neither a federal system nor a republic nor a constitutional monarchy. They are independent of each other except for military and diplomatic affairs, so some are very rich and some are very poor. I have been to all these seven emirates, because there is no need to go through procedures for mutual communication, and except for the eldest Abu Dhabi and the second Dubai, the other emirates are too small and very backward and barren. Last year, 2019, seemed to be the year when I came to the UAE most frequently. I came three times in December, for personal reasons and work reasons. On Christmas Eve on the 24th, I was invited to stay at the Summer Palace of the Jumeirah Castle Hotel (now translated as Jumeirah, the name Jumeirah is the private business of the Dubai chief, such as the Burj Al Arab, which is the most familiar to Chinese people. There should be 70 or 80 restaurants of all sizes in the castle hotel, but my favorite is the buffet restaurant of Yi Palace. The environment is good. You can see the Burj Al Arab by pushing the floor-to-ceiling glass door. There are turtles swimming in the artificial canal below, but it is mainly because this restaurant has a Hong Kong chef who specializes in Cantonese and Southeast Asian dishes, which is very suitable for my taste, hahaha! This time, as soon as I entered the restaurant, I saw a fancy cake exhibition being held to celebrate Christmas, which was very interesting and added to the festive atmosphere!
