I chose to eat here based on all the reviews. I do not understand how everyone is rating this place so good. I ordered a chicken dish. The chicken was so fatty that I could not eat it. The rice was dry. My husband ordered the same as I did. We ate a few bites and could not eat the rest. When we told the waitress we did not like the dish because the chicken was so fatty she did not say or do anything. We paid $38.99 for our food and then went to McDonalds across the street. The food at McDonalds was better than this place and I do not eat fast food. Maybe if I tried a different dish I would of liked it.



Good food from soup to main entre and desserts. Great place for family gatherings or any home cooked meal for 2 people. Quick service with a smile. Wide selection on the menu to choose from. Stopped in on a rainy day and ordered the won ton soup combo (teriaki pork and macaroni salad), and the loco moco. The portions are large and very satisfying. Next time you're in hilo and you're at the mall, stop by Kuhio Grill for breakfast, lunch or dinner. You will definitely find something you'll like.

We stopped here before going to the airport, based on some locals recommendations. Not disappointed! It was quiet, food came fast, and was good...a nice plate dinner.
