Bayreuth Festival Theatre

Bayreuth Festival Theatre

The Bayreuth Festival Theatre, built in 1876, is unique in that it was built exclusively for the performance of Wagner's operas (especially The Ring of the Nibelung). The design of the Bayreuth Festival Theatre was jointly designed by Wagner and the architect. Although the exterior is not special, the interior structure is very unique. The theater has 1,460 seats and boxes, a large stage, a deep orchestra pit, and the auditorium is relatively far away, so that the orchestra cannot be seen at all. These features make Wagner's operas particularly effective. Today, the Bayreuth Cultural Festival, which is held every July and August for Wagner's operas, forms a climax of German summer cultural performances. At that time, German dignitaries, business tycoons, cultural celebrities and Wagner lovers from all over the world will gather in Bayreuth.Bayreuth · 1.7km from downtown

It's definitely worth a visit. It's very beautiful. The small town of Bayreuth also has a medieval charm.

The Festspielhaus is where the Bayreuth Festival is held. With decades of history, the venue was designed and constructed to smoothly handle about 900 guests per performance, which is impressive. Though it is small in size, it has everything from indoor restaurants with seating to terrace seating and stalls, and the usually quiet venue takes on an elegant yet slightly lively atmosphere during the festival.

The campus of Bayreuth University is a popular place for students majoring in plants, biology and environment. The newly opened soil science exhibition is small but exquisite, with a lot of knowledge points. The entire greenhouse is circular. Walking along the path, every time you open a door, you will see a different green landscape, and the temperature and humidity will fluctuate accordingly. The outdoor park is divided into many areas, and the Asian, American, European and other areas have their own characteristics. The entire area is quite large. Walking in it, it is very quiet, with only the sound of birds and wind.
