Sorrento is located near the Bay of Naples, with the entire town built atop seaside cliffs. The famous Italian song "Come Back to Sorrento" sings of this very town. The song has been sung for a century and has become a unique cultural symbol of Sorrento. The 16th-century poet Tasso was also born here, and the town square is named after him. The town is surrounded by lemon groves and olive trees, and Limoncello, a lemon liqueur made from local lemons, is a signature specialty of Sorrento. Piazza Torquato Tasso is the central starting point for sightseeing. Next to the square is the Valley of the Mills, a deep gorge embedded in the heart of the city, where abandoned old mills remain at the bottom, overgrown with vegetation. The Cloister of San Francesco was built in the 14th century, with arches and columns arranged in an interlaced pattern along the cloister. Museo Correale houses medieval sculptures, paintings, and local decorative arts, while the Museum of Wood Inlay is dedicated to showcasing the wood inlay craftsmanship that has continued in Sorrento for hundreds of years. Looking out from the edge of the cliffs, you can see the silhouette of Mount Vesuvius and Capri. The streets and alleys of the old town are winding, and the Marina Grande fishing village on the coast retains a rustic atmosphere, with colorful houses arranged along the harbor.Sorrento · 15.4km from Capri Town

This limestone peak is home to more than 900 species of plants including bayberry, myrtle, holly, and fragrant trees. Many birds also visit frequently, including peregrine falcons. It is not difficult to climb Mount Solaro, either from passetiello or from AxelMunthe. Standing on the top of Mount Solaro, you can see the bays of Naples and Saleri, and there is a panoramic view of Procida Island.Metropolitan City of Naples · 917m from Capri Town

Amalfi Coast

Amalfi Coast is a stretch of coastline on the southern side of the Sorrento Peninsula in the province of Salerno, southern Italy. It extends from Positano in the west to Vietri sul Mare in the east, with over a dozen coastal towns built into the cliffs along the way. Steep cliffs, terraced hillsides, and the deep blue Tyrrhenian Sea form the core scenery here. The terraces are planted with lemon trees, grapevines, and olive trees, presenting a typical Mediterranean coastal landscape. The representative towns along the coast each have their own unique characteristics. Positano is famous for its cascading colorful houses and steep stone steps, with buildings clinging to the hillside from the beach upwards; the town of Amalfi was once the center of a medieval maritime republic, and it is filled with narrow alleys and staircases, where the facade of theCathedral of St. Andrew, blending Arab and Norman styles, is a landmark of the town; Ravello sits high on a ridge, and the gardens of Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone offer views overlooking the entire coastline, among which the "Terrace of Infinity" at Villa Cimbrone is a viewing spot for a panoramic view of the coast. Vietri sul Mare is known for its traditional handmade ceramics, and colorful pottery shops can be seen everywhere in the town. The "Path of the Gods" from Agerola to Positano is a classic hiking route. It follows the ridge, offering high-altitude views of the coastline and the full panorama of the towns along the way. The region is famous for a slender variety of Amalfi lemon, and the local limoncello made from it is also a specialty. The coastal road is winding and narrow, prone to traffic jams in summer, and ferries are also available for travel between the towns.Amalfi · 33.4km from Capri Town

Piazza Umberto I is located in Capri, Italy, also known as Piazzetta or chiazza. It has a long history: through the Greco-Roman era and the Middle Ages, it has been destroyed and rebuilt several times, resulting in the square it is today. The Piazza Umberto I was originally the location of the city wall to defend against foreign enemies. Later, after the construction of the count, it did not gradually become a real square until the 16th century. In 1900 it was officially named Piazza Umberto I. Today it is an important tourist attraction in Capri.Capri Town · 1.8km from downtown

•This was the place where gladiators fought for their lives, prisoners on death row struggled with hungry lions, and it was also the great symbol of eternal Rome •Take in the magnificent architecture and imagine epic battles that once took place here •Imagine the bustle of the marketplace, the intrigue of political debates, and the opulence of imperial residences △ The Colosseum was built on the site of the magnificent Dumus Aurea and was completed in 80 AD. But with the decline of the Roman Empire in the 6th century AD, the Colosseum was gradually abandoned and became overgrown. Since then, the Colosseum has been damaged by earthquakes many times, and it has even become a source of stone and marble for builders. Nowadays, only the incomplete skeleton of the Colosseum is left in front of people, but you can still get a glimpse of the style of that day. △ From the outside, the Colosseum has four floors (including the underground). On the first floor, you can clearly see the maze-like building in the center of the Colosseum. The basements that were once the Colosseum housed the beasts and gladiators who were about to duel. If you want to see the underground part up close, you need to be led by a tour guide. △ The entire exterior wall of the Colosseum is made of limestone, with 80 arches (vormitori) on each floor, allowing spectators to quickly enter and take their seats. The recesses on the second and third floors were once filled with marble statues. The top of the wall is dotted with windows and slender Corinthian pilasters, and there are 240 wall columns to support the canvas canopy covering the Colosseum.Italy · Rome

The Naples Coastal Promenade is a charming walking trail in Naples, Italy, stretching along the Mediterranean coastline. It is a link between the city's historic center and the Mediterranean scenery. The ground is paved with wavy tiles, and cast iron lamps are arranged at intervals with palm trees, forming a typical Mediterranean leisure space. The promenade is about 3 kilometers long and is a popular place for locals and tourists to walk, jog and cycle. There are many cafes and restaurants along the coastal promenade. Visitors can enjoy the scenery while tasting delicious food. Many tourists gather in open-air bars to overlook the sea view. Trulli, Rione Monti

Trulli, Rione Monti is one of the best-preserved complexes of conical stone dwellings in Europe. Trulli are a unique type of dry-stone construction built without mortar, relying solely on limestone blocks stacked in layers, with conical roofs formed by stones corbelled outward layer by layer. This architectural technique dates back to prehistoric times and is still used in the Itria Valley today. Originally scattered across the countryside as farmhouses, animal shelters, or storage for farm tools, Alberobello is where these trulli are clustered together. The town preserves over 1,500 trulli, mainly concentrated in two areas: the Rione Monti district in the south features approx. 1,000 conical-roofed houses, with various handicraft shops lining the streets, and many shop owners invite visitors inside to see the interior structure of the trulli; the Rione Aia Piccola district is smaller and retains a more authentic residential character, with no commercial shops, offering a quieter atmosphere perfect for a leisurely stroll. As you wander through, you will see layers of white limestone walls and gray conical roofs.Italy · Alberobello

When the weather is good, this place is absolutely beautiful, so my reminder is to make sure the sky is clear before you go, so that the photos will look good. Otherwise, if it is gray, although it is also beautiful, the photos taken will not have that fairy-tale feeling. The photos below were taken on a cloudy day, so the sky is not very blue. This place is definitely worth a visit, especially in the summer. It is very beautiful. There are many special shops, restaurants, cafes and places for handmade leather products.
