China Dinosaurs Land

China Dinosaurs Land is a large dinosaur culture-themed amusement park, known as the "Jurassic of the East." The park creates scenes around the thread of dinosaurs from survival and reproduction to evolution and extinction, integrating science popularization exhibits with mechanical amusement rides, allowing visitors to step into the ancient dinosaur world while having fun. As the landmark building of the park, the exterior of the China Dinosaur Museum makes full use of biomimetic architectural techniques. Seen from afar, it looks as if three dinosaurs are raising their heads high and whispering to each other, while a plump and enormous dinosaur body presents a freehand-style form, thus outlining the museum's space for exhibition, entertainment, and science popularization. The total area of the museum is more than 20,000 square m, the highest point of the dinosaur heads reaches 71 m, and the highest point of the museum's dome reaches 36 m. The China Dinosaur Museum has five main halls and six auxiliary halls. Among them, the main halls include the atrium, exhibition hall, view hall, sightseeing hall, and film and television hall; the auxiliary halls include the entrance lobby, VIP reception hall, academic lecture hall, reserve exhibition hall, as well as spaces such as the rooftop garden and souvenir shop. The halls are connected through logical routes, with both separation and convergence, and are interrelated. With the history of biological evolution as the design background, it focuses on the conceptual main line of dinosaurs from survival, reproduction, and evolution to extinction, revealing the profound theme that life and the environment depend on each other and that humans must protect ecology and the environment. Park layout: The Dinosaur Park is divided into the China Dinosaur Museum, Lubula Area, Kuksuk Grand Canyon Area, Magic Rainforest Area, Dream Manor, Adventure Harbor, and Crazy Dinosaur People. Among them, the China Dinosaur Museum is the core venue for showcasing dinosaur culture; the thrilling mechanical amusement rides are mainly in "Kuksuk" and "Lubula" Thrilling rides: Numerous high-altitude mechanical amusement rides make this a destination for thrill-seekers: you can board the high-altitude swinging ride "Crazy Fire Dragon Drill" to experience an intense sensation of weightlessness; or climb aboard the "Babel Tower" to seek the thrill of a sudden plunge from the sky; there is also a 4D roller coaster that lets you experience the exhilaration of high speed and rapid spins in an instant. Relaxing activities: The park also offers relaxed and leisurely options: you can view a variety of Chinese dinosaur fossils in the China Dinosaur Museum, where you will learn about dinosaur culture. You can also try less thrilling rides such as the "Brontosaurus Roller Coaster," letting you seek fun in a bit of mild tension; in different venues, you can also watch programs such as musicals, magic shows, and live-action stunt performances. Water world and night park: Dinosaur Park's Jurassic Water World delivers a refreshing, exhilarating experience all summer long. Classic water attractions let you forget the summer heat, the cool water fun lets you unleash all your passion, and sizzling performances ignite every cell in your body. Let the kids enjoy an unforgettable summer vacation. Most attractions remain open in the evening as well, and you can experience the thrills of the water world's giant water slide, the Tornado, and the 30-meter plunge on the giant slide, or splash it out in a giant water fortress (the water world requires a separate admission ticket).Changzhou · 3km from downtown

Qingguo Lane

4.5/5

Qingguo Lane is about 1 km long, stretching from Heping North Road in the east to the bustling Malu South Street in the west and the moat in the south. The slightly dilapidated old houses in the lane are in sharp contrast to the surrounding high-rise buildings. There are still a few residents living in the old houses. Although it does not have a glamorous appearance, it still retains some of the people's livelihood. Qingguo Lane was first built before the Wanli Period of the Ming Dynasty (1581 AD). At that time, the canal entered the West Water Gate from Wenheng Bridge, passed through the East and West Xiatang, and then went out of the East Water Gate and meandered eastwards through the city. Qingguo Lane faces the canal section of the city, where many ships gather. It is a distribution center for fruits from the north and south. There are fruit shops selling equipment along the coast, and it was formerly known as the "Thousand Fruit Lane". In Qingguo Lane, there is Bagui Hall, located at No. 82 Qingguo Lane. It was built by Changzhou celebrity Tang Jingchuan after he won the imperial examination. To commemorate his success, he planted eight osmanthus trees in his house, which was named "Bagui Hall". Many celebrities came from Qingguo Lane, including the Qing Dynasty industrialist Zhuang Kai, the top scholar and painter Qian Weicheng and his brother Qian Weiqiao, and the general manager of Pingxiang Coal Mine and Hanyang Iron Works in the Qing Dynasty Zhang Zanchen. You can find the former residences of celebrities by walking around the lane.Changzhou · 4.5km from downtown

In the predator area, visitors can get out of their vehicles to interact and feed the animals. The walking area features animal venues such as the giant panda house, red panda house, monkey island, giraffe house, wading bird house, giant anteater house, kangaroo house, and peacock garden. I bought a package in advance for 256 yuan, which included a one-way ride on the miniature train and a round-trip ride on the ground rail and cable car. The rainy weather diminished the scenery. Upon entering, we took the miniature train to Jiming Village to see pandas and watch a lion dance performance. Then we transferred to take the cable car to the first peak of Wuyue Mountain. When we arrived at the summit, it was cloudy and foggy, so we didn't see much of the scenery.

We went on October 5th. The weather was great, and the environment on the mountain was lovely. However, many attractions required an additional fee, such as the thrill ride, family go-karting, and paintball. If you plan to do these, you might want to check if you can buy a combined ticket. Rafting cost 150 yuan per person, and even with raincoats, you'd get completely soaked, especially your shoes. Luckily, the staff warned us, so we didn't go rafting. The sightseeing train was 39 yuan per person, which wasn't cheap, but you had to wait at each stop, and there was no one to guide the queue; you had to grab your own spot, which was quite frustrating. The restaurants near the entrance were also mediocre. I thought Chinese food wouldn't be too bad, but I was proven wrong.

At first, I thought it was just one tower and it would cost fifty yuan, but once inside, I found there were many exhibits, quite exquisite and beautiful. Climbing to the top and enjoying the panoramic view of Changzhou was quite nice; you should definitely allow plenty of time!

The Immortal City was so much fun! There were tons of NPCs and so many shows; one day wasn't nearly enough. I even missed the parade. I'll definitely go again next time. The afternoon I went, the entire Maoshan Mountain was shrouded in mist, like a fairyland. It truly lived up to the saying, "A mountain is not famous for its height, but for the immortals who dwell there."

When visiting Changzhou, Qingguo Lane is a must-see. It's known as "One Qingguo Lane, Half the History of Changzhou," and also called the No. 1 Lane of Jiangnan Scholars. The old houses in Qingguo Lane are built along the river, with white walls and black tiles, exuding the charm of a Jiangnan water town. Here are some must-see spots in Qingguo Lane: **East Entrance Archway:** The three characters "Qingguo Lane" are very eye-catching, perfect for a photo opportunity. Also, past the archway to Zhuochu Bridge, there's a chinaberry tree that's the highlight of Qingguo Lane; its reflection in the river is incredibly photogenic. **Qingguo Lane Memory Museum:** A must-visit treasure trove, free to enter. This four-courtyard complex is filled with the historical memories of Qingguo Lane, offering many photo opportunities. It's closed at night, so be sure to go during the day! **Tang Jingchuan Memorial Hall:** A national cultural relic protection unit, it houses Changzhou's largest nanmu wood hall. Taking photos of the gatehouse of the three-courtyard complex with a telephoto lens is absolutely stunning! Zhou Youguang Library: The former residence of the father of Pinyin, the courtyard is tranquil and full of cultural atmosphere. The pond at the west entrance: The most photogenic spot in the neighborhood, the pond reflects the white walls and gray tiles of traditional Jiangnan houses, a popular spot for taking pictures. Overall, Qingguo Lane has a rich historical and cultural heritage while maintaining a lively atmosphere, making it a pleasant place to stroll and worth spending half a day exploring.

The Spring and Autumn Period Yancheng Tourist Area, located in the central urban area of Wujin District, is a scenic area themed around the Spring and Autumn Period culture. Archaeological evidence confirms that the Yancheng site dates back over 2700 years, renowned for its unique "three cities and three rivers" city layout. It is the best-preserved surface city site from the Spring and Autumn Period in China to date, and is hailed as a "living fossil of Spring and Autumn Culture." What is "Yancheng"? One theory is that during the late Shang and early Zhou dynasties, the ruler of the Yan state migrated south, and the Yan ruler led his people to build a city here. In ancient times, "Yan" and "Yan" were interchangeable. Another theory is that during the late Spring and Autumn Period, Ji Zha, a prince of the Wu state, built a city in his fiefdom of Yanling to demonstrate his determination to remain there.

My son loves driving the shuttle vehicles inside the park; they can even drive right into the area where the miniature train goes. The rides are tiring, the park is huge, and there are many different kinds of animals—it's a lot of fun!
