The value for money was amazing! We went to Manukan first, then Mamuthi, and finally Sapi Island. Each time we changed islands, staff were there to guide us, and they spoke multiple languages, making it very convenient. The large boat was very stable, preventing seasickness. We stayed at Pacific Silk Island, a five-minute walk from the pier, and could go directly to our room to shower after disembarking. We saw many fish in Manukan and Sapi, making it perfect for those who are afraid of water. With our feet on the ground, only our bangs got wet. Bringing our own snorkeling gear made it even cleaner, and we bought a prescription mask, finally able to see the fish clearly underwater. The staff forgot to give us our life jackets, so I rented one from a safety officer in Manukan. When we arrived at the second island, we realized we hadn't returned it. The staff said they would return it for us, which was already very appreciated. Then, after I mentioned that they hadn't told me to bring a life jacket, they proactively contacted me and refunded me the rental price ā€“ a very unexpected experience! The water near the islands was quite clean, and the weather was nice that day. It started raining as soon as we got back to the hotel, but luckily we didn't get splashed or wet in the water.

The company's yellow kiosk was easy to find. The boat departed on time. We'd booked a trip to just one island, Sapi Island, but it turned out that only the two of us were going to one island that day. The guide was split between three groups (depending on the number of islands). He kindly offered to join a larger group and visit two islands at no extra charge. We declined, however, as we'd planned to visit only one and enjoy our stay at our leisure. After disembarking, we were all picked up without any problems. The island is beautiful, but there's nowhere to lie down. There are lots of people. There are a few fish. There are showers and toilets. Overall, it's worth visiting for a varied vacation. I was unlucky; I got bitten by plankton, and there were a few medks (but it's April, the high season here). I recommend taking a swimsuit with long pants and sleeves for snorkeling ā€“ you won't get sunburned or bitten. Otherwise, everything was perfect; it was a comfortable ride from Port Marina.

Getting around Taiwan is so much easier with an EasyCard! It was super easy to buy and sooo convenient to use. I got my Hello Kitty card at the airport and started using it right away. šŸŽ€ You can use it to: šŸš‡ Pay for MRT rides and buses. šŸš† Use some local trains. šŸŖ Pay at convenience stores like 7-Eleven and FamilyMart. šŸš² Rent YouBike bicycles (with the required registration). You can top it up at MRT stations and convenience stores whenever your balance runs low. My tip: Get one as soon as you arrive at the airport. No need to buy separate tickets for every ride ā€” just tap and go! Small card, big help! šŸ’—

It was a great deal! We landed in Fukuoka, took the airport express for free, then took it one stop to JR Hakata Station to exchange for JR Pass tickets. We visited many places. Our return trip was in Osaka, so it took exactly one week.
