Reviews: Lion City Bike Tour of Singapore

A wonderful, slightly damp tour of downtown Singapore with Holden and about a dozen other folks from Australia, Germany, Switzerland, and China. We rode past a whole bunch of sights (too many to remember) including the Singapore Flyer, the F1 pit lane buildings, the Marina Bay Sands, the Merlion, the Supreme Court, the Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall, a Hawker center that is next to a road that is closed down at night because of the Satay lines, and the Sultan Mosque. We stopped for restrooms and drinks a couple of places and when we were in the little India area, we had Samosas and sugar cane drinks with ice. Very refreshing. Holden was a great tour guide and answered many questions with good humor and a smile. Pretty much anyone who can ride a bike can do this tour. It’s very flat and even though Singapore nearly nothing in the way of separated bike infrastructure, we had no issues just riding slowly on the sidewalk (pavement). Pedestrians are very accommodating.

It was a memorable experience for our 30th anniversary marriage when Cindy visited Singapore her first time while I was 26 years ago. The tour introduced many delicious local foods to her as well as refreshing me a lot I forgot. Overall, it is impressive to both of us:)

What an exceptional tour. Gerry loves to teach, has exceptional knowledge and experience, and makes it fun and enjoyable. This is so much more than a food tour. It is as much if not more so, a cultural tour. This is a must do on a Singapore trip, and do it early in your trip to become familiar with the different cultural areas of Singapore. An added bonus is that you will also learn to navigate the train and bus system. Come hungry, because they is a LOT of food. I cannot say enough good things about this tour
