Before my trip to Barcelona, I knew about Salvador Dalí, but only in passing. I took this day tour to the town where he was born and where there is a museum devoted to his life and work to learn more. And I'm so grateful I did! I gained an incredible appreciation for him. In large part, that was because of the skillful guidance of our tour guide Vincent. On a tour like this, I would assume our guide was there mostly to let us know about locations and to help us with getting into museums. But Vincent really guided us in our exploration of Dalí. On the drive to Figueres, he gave us lots of information about where we were going and what we would see. Then at the museum, he guided us through several rooms, pointing out things about the art I never would have noticed on my own. He is incredibly well informed on his topic, and helped me learn in ways that I so appreciated. After the guided portion of the tour, we were given time on our own to explore the museum and have lunch.
After Figueres, we went to the town of Girona, where once again Vincent gave us an incredibly informative tour of the town, and then gave us time on our own to explore. Once again, I learned far more than I had expected out of the tour. Vincent is truly one of the most well prepared tour guides I have ever seen.
Along with Vincent was our driver Joaquín. On a day tour like this, when a significant amount of time is spent driving to and from locations, it is such a relief when the driver is a careful and conscientious driver. Joaquín made me feel very safe. He and Vincent were a great pair for this informative and beautiful day outside of Barcelona!★

Our Tour Guide Adrian made the tour was so amazing! He is so patient and nice. He showed us around the city views and answered our questions. He introduced each view points and all background information related to them clearly. Also, the van is clean and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed this wine and cava tasting and would even come back to do it again with the rest of our family. Our tour guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend this tour if you are interested in learning more about Cava because they do a phenomenal job educating you about the process. While there is a fair amount of standing, it is perfectly reasonable. The other reviews do a poor job of encapsulating the care and craft that is evident throughout the tour. If you want to appreciate the history and learn, this tour is for you. If you want to get drunk and sit around, this isn't for you. It was very well done and the wine was spectacular.★

It was a wonderful experience. Our guide Xavi is truly an exceptional person—professional, friendly, and able to show us all the charm of the monastery. A special thank you to him and to the excellent organization. I highly recommend this tour because it allows you to discover a truly magical and evocative place. It’s not demanding at all — in fact, the bus takes you all the way to the monastery. It’s definitely worth spending half a day on this fantastic experience.
