Reviews: Osaka & Kyoto Scenic Spots Tour | Katsuo-ji Daruma + Kyoto Arashiyama Scenery + Kinkaku-ji Pilgrimage

A little fast paced but it hits the mark . If you get Charlie; you will get an entertaining history lesson in the bus. He is rather jovial. And is genuinely concerned about the well being of everyone .

Reviews: Kyoto Day Tour: Arashiyama + Kifune Shrine + Sanzen-in (Osaka/Kyoto Departure | Optional Hotel Pickup | Small Group with Sagano Romantic Train / Private Charter Available)
Guest User2026-10-08
This Kyoto Day Tour: Arashiyama + Kifune Shrine + Sanzen-in was a fantastic experience overall! Special thanks to our driver, Li Jie. He was incredibly friendly, communicated well, and provided clear explanations along the way. Within the limited time, he arranged the entire itinerary perfectly, managing the time flawlessly, allowing us to visit several of Kyoto's most worthwhile attractions in one day. However, I must remind everyone that this tour is more suitable for travelers with some self-reliance. Because you're not with a guide the entire time, you'll need to figure out your own way, keep track of time, and return on time for each meeting. As long as you manage your time well and adhere to the meeting times, the whole trip can be very relaxed. I personally really liked this approach—someone arranges transportation and the general direction, and once you arrive at the attractions, you have your own time to explore freely. If it's your first time in Kyoto and you want to visit Arashiyama, Kifune Shrine, and Sanzen-in all at once, I would recommend this Day Tour. Especially driver Li Jie, he was a huge plus! 👍🇯🇵

Reviews: Kyoto Day Tour: Arashiyama + Sanzen-in + Kifune Shrine (Departure from Osaka or Kyoto | Optional Hotel Pickup / Small Group with Sagano Romantic Train)
Guest User2026-09-07
Having visited Kyoto several times, I finally realized I should explore more attractions instead of just stopping at Hanamikoji, Kiyomizu-dera, Fushimi, Inari, and Nishiki Market. So, I joined a small day tour to see three places I'd never been before. Since many Kyoto attractions are scattered, it's really inconvenient to visit several places in one day without a car. Sanzen-in Temple, Kifune Shrine, and Arashiyama—if I had to choose, I'd visit Sanzen-in Temple multiple times; it's so beautiful! Of course, early September isn't peak autumn foliage season, so Arashiyama wasn't at its most beautiful. Personally, I felt that without the autumn leaves, the place resembled Anji or Tonglu in Zhejiang—green mountains, clear water, and bamboo forests, nothing particularly special. The small tour departed from Osaka, which was especially convenient for us living in Kyoto, as we could sleep in a little longer, have breakfast, and wait for the tour bus to pick us up. The driver even arranged for me to be a tour guide on the spot, giving me tickets for the Sagano Scenic Railway and letting me lead nine people on a round-trip train journey and arrange seating. It was quite fun.

Reviews: Free matcha experience! Katsuo-ji + Arashiyama + Ninenzaka (Depart from Namba/Osaka)

This day trip was very well-planned and flowed smoothly. The connections and stopover times between attractions were perfectly managed, allowing for complete freedom and eliminating any sense of rushing. Everyone was able to comfortably enjoy the entire trip. Special thanks to our tour guide! Throughout the trip, she was not only warm, friendly, and attentive, but she also catered to all of my family's needs. Her explanations of the attractions were also very vivid and engaging, giving us a deeper understanding of each place.

Reviews: Kyoto & Nara: Arashiyama and Nishiki Market Tour From Osaka (7~9 Highlight spots, English Guide)
Guest User2026-09-22
I was so happy to meet such a wonderful guide on this trip 😊 Even though the tour lasted a long time, Guide Park Si-yeon treated us warmly and kindly from start to finish, without ever showing any signs of fatigue or frowning. She explained every place we visited so well that it made exploring the destinations much more fun and in-depth. Most importantly, I lost my card during the trip and was in a really panicked and difficult situation, but the guide actively helped me as if it were her own problem, allowing me to resolve it safely. I was truly grateful and felt so reassured at that moment. After the long tour ended, she even recommended a great restaurant for dinner, and thanks to her, I was able to enjoy delicious food and spend one of the happiest moments of the trip. The place she recommended was truly delicious! It was truly impressive to see that she wasn't just a guide who conducted the tour, but one who paid attention to every detail from the perspective of a traveler. I am so happy to have met Guide Park Si-yeon through this trip, and I think this will remain in my memory for a long time. Thanks to Guide Park Si-yeon, I was able to create the best memories of my trip. Thank you so much! If I travel again, I would definitely love to see you again 😊

Amazing day with Nick Lee! Cozy car, relaxed pace, plenty of time at every spot. Arashiyama train & Hozugawa boat cruise were stunning. Nick's fluent English kept everyone engaged. Great conversations with fellow tourists too. Highly recommend!
