The Sky Tower is a telecommunications and observation tower in Auckland, New Zealand. Located at the corner of Victoria and Federal Streets within the city's CBD, it is 328 metres (1,076 ft) tall, as measured from ground level to the top of the mast, making it the tallest freestanding structure in the Southern Hemisphere and the 25th tallest tower in the world. It has become an iconic landmark in Auckland's skyline due to its height and unique design. It looks like a baton conducting the main theme of Auckland
You can reach three viewpoints with one ticket: the Skydeck at 220 m, the Main Observation Deck at 186m, and the Sky Lounge at 182 m.
On the top floor, you can try the Sky Walk: walk slowly on the 1.2 meter wide platform at 192 meters in the air with the safety rope. There is no fence, which is extremely thrilling
The tower also features the "SkyJump", a 192-metre (630 ft) jump from the observation deck, during which a jumper can reach up to 85 km/h (53 mph)
Sky Tower and other buildings together composed a Sky City, including New Zealand's largest casino, ten restaurants and bars, 4- and 5-star hotels, theatres and many unique travel adventures, as well as huge underground parking lots and intercity bus terminals. They will take you to the top of the observation deck and the revolving restaurant in just 40 seconds, where you can overlook the entire Auckland City

There are two ways to reach the top of the tower: climb the 1267 stairs or take the elevator directly from the ground floor to the top floor. The Sky Tower features three elevators with transparent glass which rise at a speed of 18 kilometers per hour. They will take you to the top of the observation deck and the revolving restaurant in just 40 seconds, where you can overlook the entire Auckland City. If you go there during dusk, you can first enjoy the beautiful sunset, and when the sky is dark, you will see a different Auckland at night. The transparent glass floor at the Sky Deck will also give you a view of Auckland from a different angle
