Wuzhen is a well preserved water village that lies north of the Zhenjiang province. This tour will enable you to experience both the East and West gate of the Wuzhen town. In 2001, Wuzhen was selected as a candidate for UNESCO’s World Cultural Heritage List. At the end of 2006, it was included in the revised List of China’s Candidates for UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. The Indigo Fabric Workshop was founded in Wuzhen, South Scenic Zone during the 13th century when Mongolian rule replaced the Song Dynasty. Indigo cloth has been part of Chinese folk culture for over a millennium. At the Museum of Foot Binding in Wuzhen, a comprehensive display of artifacts and photographs describe the painful pursuit of the "three-inch lotus", a euphemism for the bound foot. On display, there are 825 pairs of shoes that are designed for bound female feet along with numerous pictures and associated items, all accompanied by detailed descriptions.&nbsp;<img src="https://ak-d.tripcdn.com/images/100u0m000000dj6sxFBCA_Z_1000_0.jpg">
