Reviews: Tortuga Island Full Day Tour from San José with Lunch

Josef lead us. Stopped for breakfast . Saw dolphins. Clean beach. Good snorkeling. They made it fun. Hike is not easy on a hot day. Bring $20-30 to enjoy optional items at the beach.

Reviews: Irazú Volcano, Orosi Valley & Lankester Gardens from San José
A***82025-04-24
I enjoyed our tour guide Martin, who knew so much about volcanos, history, and Costa Rican culture. He was a delight! Overall the bus trip up the volcano offered incredible views of the countryside. The higher up you go, be prepared for weather changes. It was freezing and wet because you are literally in the clouds. This can impact visibility so binoculars may be of help. If you feel slightly dizzy once you arrive you can opt to get coffee, treats, or souvenirs from a nearby shop. We were given several opportunities to take photographs of one of the oldest basilicas in CR. The Lankester Gardens is an incredible place with so many species of native and thriving plants that can't be found anywhere else. We only spent about an hour here, but it is worth another visit. Incredible pictures here too. We finished the tour with lunch at a restaurant along a river with more incredible views. Look up in the trees to find a character of a bird among multiple drooping nests. Epic day especially if weather permits!

Reviews: Wildlife Refuge La Paz Waterfall Gardens Day Trip from San Jose
H***72024-03-06
La Paz Waterfall and wildlife adventure was the highlight of my trip to Costa Rica. What a beautiful property. Set in the jungle, LA Paz waterfalls are stunning in their beauty and grandor. And, the animals in sanctuary are excellently cared for. What a wonderful property. (Lots of stairs to see the waterfalls, but you can bypass them.)

Reviews: Poas Volcano + Coffee Plantations & La Paz Waterfall Gardens Trip from San Jose
O***82025-03-14
We had an excellent tour with Jose. It ended up just being me and my husband. Breakfast in the coffee plantation was really big (lots of vegetarian options). We got to try lots of different coffees and chocolates. Jose kept an eye on the volcano webcam so we got up when the view was perfect with no cloud cover. La Paz waterfalls were beautiful, again lunch was big with lots of choice (pizza/fries/rice and beans/salad). We stopped on the way and got to try strawberry's and various liqueurs/Costa Rican wine. There was an opportunity to buy souvenirs as well. Definitely would recommend.
